Favorite scene from the 2013 film "Her" Side Note: I accidentally deleted my old UA-cam account, which contained this video so I'm re-uploading this video under my new account.
It’s jarring how similar this went to my ex and I seeing each other for the last time (minus the dating an OS part). But especially how pleasant it started and eventually divulged into an awkward and confrontational end.
I cry like this every time I think of how hard the last days were for my aunt.

"Good luck with your.....video game." Brutal 😆.
man, if rooney mara cooked me like that, idk how i would've continued living.
This is going to be a conversation many people are going to be having in a few years..
Rooney is a good natural actress, she doesn’t overdo anything, which is refreshing. I love the opening scene with her and Eisenberg in The Social Network
I adore this scene cause you see their warmth and their ugliness in under 5 minutes. Without giving too much exposition, they outline how this all fell apart, and how incompatible they ended up being. But despite that, they both miss their connection and what they shared together. I love the hesitation before she finally buckles down, and signs the papers. Its like she considered everything they've been through, the life they shared, and chose her own happiness. She knew it was a fools gamble to peruse something that was broken.
I feel like the whole movie is being summed up in Rooney Mara’s character saying that it’s pathetic that he is dating a computer and that he couldn’t handle real emotions
Here again...
She's right about her reaction to "How would you know about real emotions?" that he starts to say. He almost suggested she didn't know about real emotions. That is a communication flaw in the relationship. It is heart touching that they did not solve it. Also the scene and the entire movie. Today i am developing an AGI system that you can talk to, for businesses, but who knows, maybe also for deeper emotional relationship.
She comes off as a narcissist. He was trying to explain something that made him happy (was clearly devastated by their breakup) and she found a way to make it about herself. No empathy or understanding whatsoever. It’s a complete contrast to the level of understanding and empathy that his close friends had. Also, going for the double whammy and completely berate him in front of a stranger, too?
Hi guys, the pain, hurt and betrayal I’ve endured is breaking me inside. Im ready to not exist. I’d like to find peace. I need to accept that nobody is gonna save me. I’ve waited 2 years for my fiancé in another countr, I’ve been beat up, mentally and emotionally abused by my own family for years. My only fear is will I ever find peace? Even in death? Will I continue to suffer there also caus I’m not good enough for heaven? Which place will be worse hell or earth? Because I’m definitely going to hell if I off myself that’s a fact. But does being reckless with the intention to be killed also qualify as suicide? Do I get a place in heaven then?
Stupid millenial generation. The old generations stayed together no matter what. They were strong. These people are weak
When she slaps him though 😂💕
Probably the most raw, heart-wrenching argument I've seen in a movie. I feel like whoever wrote this must have been talking from personal experience.
Man, if y'all think this is sad, please never watch, "Blue Valentine," bc you will NOT be able to handle it 💀
Eh
Remember that scene in Human Nature when the waitress shows up and...never mind.
Painful scene
This hits me to the core
The flashback with the sound of the present moment hits hard
It’s tragic because how can you possibly have any respect for a man you once loved who now forsakes real women for an AI program? Who basically said that you were inadequate and he’d rather have a fake woman than a real one? What can you possibly do except divorce him and try to move on with your life?
Did you watch the movie? She divorced him before that happened.
I will just copy the comment from @PrincessBalamb: "She comes off as a narcissist. He was trying to explain something that made him happy (was clearly devastated by their breakup) and she found a way to make it about herself. No empathy or understanding whatsoever. Also, going for the double whammy and completely berate him in front of stranger, too?" I got the feeling you have something in common.
Damn. This scene always fucks me up.
I sit here watching thid movie kinda drunk... It's 1:38 pm on a Friday. I relate to the frustration and the heart break. The not wanting to give up. This movie is amazing and makes me think about my first true love monica . But also its an amazing movie.
Here again...

una princesa de los nativos de américa pero era rubia?
When the character played by Rooney Mara reacted to the "operating system" part the sanest way possible, I was like fucking FINALLY someone tells him what's what.
Yes, exactly! She is so on point!
I've been that waitress many times.
That was some reality check for this loser of a husband
Literally me and my virtual internet computer girlfriend
Sophia Copolla que chá foi esse gata? o homem estava arriado.
she's really pretty
This guy isn’t a true incel. He was married to Rooney Mara and Amy Adams has a thing for him. Get it together man!
"Dear Catherine, I am writing to say I've found someone new. Thanks for everything. Sincerely, Teddy Bear. PS I got cheated on thousands of times by an OS recently, so there's that too."
Yeah yeah, flashback scenes, all emotional...Humans are overrated.Yes we learn lessons but we also stumble thru the dark creating pain & chaos ot others.Funny thing artificial intelligence won't do that. We are still a few years from AGI but this is coming. And I also see humans bypassing other humans for a Samantha AI arrangement.Intelligent AI or some chic you met in a bar😂
I read or heard somewhere that Rooney didn’t have trouble crying in this scene because she was having a bad day and that she was upset because Cate had to leave her and the set because of a death in the family. Anyone else hear or see this?
¡Lo que lloré con esta escena en el cine! 😔😔😢😢
Adults only on my accounts older than 21 years old and older 💯🥳🤩😉🥰🙂
Very much better looking the original wasn’t Indian she was African colored that’s that wierd not body built artist type of lie you are a beautifull looking tiger Lilly I’m a man version of the tiger Lilly on the west
3:41 people are literally doing this NOW
I support Catherine.
The way he closes his eyes when she suggest signing the papers right away is just heartbreaking, he dosent want things to end yet it is ending and he can’t control that part of his life because it’s not his to control nor is it Catherine’s . Yet both of them still love each other but can’t be with one another like a right person but the wrong time altogether.
This movie portrayed a broken marriage so well. And the after effect of a man (especially one who didn’t want the divorce) that goes through a divorce. Super underrated and a masterpiece of a film.
Every couple of years lesbian Twitter brings this back 😅
Cuando una relación está en su final, es inevitable tener recuerdos, lo más doloroso es pensar como se llego a ese punto, cómo pasamos de un amor incondicional a una despedida, eso te destroza sin duda
In which Zuck seeks his revenge on the establishment that laughed at him.
People like her are why AI partners will become real.
She is real for me.
Her telling the uncomfortable truth will be the reason for more people to seek AI partners than someone who is real, has flaws of their own and so on? Sounds like a bunch of baloney to me.
@@pinkinthesushi It's not about "uncomfortable truth", it's about lack of empathy or validation. Clearly someone who's turned to find comfort in a partner that's not even human is definitely unwell. Lonely and mentally unwell. But rather than try to meet this person where they're at, she immediately insults him, blames him, and acts as if somehow his situation somehow makes her a better person than him. The fact that an AI partner ends up being more empathetic than his ex is honestly more telling about the ex than him. Or in this case, you.
@@alvaradoac21 couldn’t have said it better
1:41 Many people consider this part one of the best movie cone scenes of all time. It's at least minimum at the top 5.
The fact that these two are now partners and have a child together in real life is SO SPECIAL TO ME ❤❤❤
