Thank you so much for this explanatory video!! I really wanted to start to play D&D but the thing is that I wanted to do it in person with a group of friends. Now that I finally managed to win them over I bought the essentials kit for all of us to play! Your video really helped me to know how to start the game as a future DM ! I wish you all the best and thank you so much for helping us(the beginners) :)

How is this game fun? Its math and dice. "Troll comes at you with a sword, what do you do?! Quickly, your life is at stake!" Me, "Ok, OK! Lets see, 5 plus 2 is 7, with my 8 dice roll is 13, minus 2 for terrain, and minus another 2 because its dark...." I walk into a pub, roll a d20 to see if your dexterity is enough to work a doorknob. I want to ask this dude in the corner if he's seen this massive dragon, roll a dice to see if you can form words with your mouth. Oh, you rolled a 4, I guess you forgot how to use words.

The Essentials kit is the best way to start. However, I think Paizo did a better job with their own "Essentials kit" box than D&D. The price/ content is hudge comparing to D&D´s box. Also the rules themselves are better explained. I apologize for my english. I´m spanish :)

Great video. I have been playing for a couple yrs now still fairly new to the game. I keep saying id like to try to be a DM my DM says i can do it lol. Today I got the essentials so i can hopefully teach my granddaughter how to play as she is showing interest along with a friend of hers. I figure this would be a good way for me to get my feet wet as a DM. Thanks for this video i feel more confident now and understand everything in the box. :)

Gallus Bard named Hugh Jaschiken. He understands that his name is a joke because his father was a leader of the community and would inspire through laughter. This is how Hugh learned his talent, roasting audience members who wanted to try and make their own jokes during his dads performances. He became known as "The Roast Chicken" and eventually had his own travelling show. However, he noticed how certain individuals profited off his performances through deceit. Hugh decided to start doing something about it by robbing these individuals, displaying them for the town to see then playing music as he dispersed the money back to the townsfolk (yeah, I know... Robin Hood.). He became known as "Big Bard" to the townsfolk. And so the legend starts...

I love this race because i actually do raise Chickens. I love my flock alot, and even tend to keep a few Bantams (super small breeds no bigger than a pidgeon, not prevalent but interesting) inside or my house permanently. I didnt realize it when i was reading the character stuff but there is a breed of chicken called a Houdan. (Who•Dan) That is an actual real breed of chicken thats most notable feature is the large pouf of feathers on their head and a fluffy beard. I suspect that might be the pronunciation of the subrace, connecting DnD lore to the real world. A neat thought, isnt it? Also there isnt a stricktly 'Bright' breed of chicken but there is a SEbright and its one of the smallest chicken breeds in the world wih all of their feathers tipped in black making it look like they all have silver or golden dots.
