Thats the only one since beginning of Oct, they are not coming out in the field or to the feeder lately, i placed a camera in the woods and have a lot of photos, just difficult to hunt in the woods there very thick

That's the first i've heard it stopping at 68%, usually it's 85%. Mine stopped at 85 but than cycled through and rebooted with the firmware. I would call ATN Tech Support, more than likely you will have to send it back to get fixed.

Thanks for watching, very simple to mount and was zeroed when i brought it to the range, i just made some fine adjustments to fit my needs

Thank You, i do have to do more testing on this because i never adjusted the focus when zooming. What we have seen is the amount of problems or issues has drastically declined around Feb 2024, there are very few issues right now. Between my brother, son and myself we have been through 9 different scopes but that was from May 2023 to Feb 2024, my last scope i received was Feb 2024. As far as ATN customer Tech or support, we will 100% state they are great A+, we have been on the phone with Tech support numerous times whether for issues or discussing the X 5. You can update firmware yourself, it is simple if done the correct way, BUT if you miss an update and than another update is released you have to send the scope in to get both updates, we learned the hard way, anytime a new firmware was released we would call ATN Support and ask if we should update, some would say if your not having any issues DO NOT update, well that bit us in the butt, because we missed 3 different firmwares, so we had to send the scopes in. We believe what has happened since the release of the X 5 in May 2023, that the first few batches had a lot of issues, we were basically testing the scope. But as time went on less and less issues were happening. Feb 2024 to now i can count on my hands the amount of issues we have seen. Another thing we have noticed is the newer firmware updates are correcting minor issues BUT are adding new features. What we have noticed when we first got our scopes and had to call Tech support they would ask 100 different questions before having it sent it to get fixed or replaced, but i learned why because a lot of the techs did not own the X 5 yet they had to refer to a tech who owned it. over time it has changed fewer questions directly to the issue and now they email you a form to fill out and they send the return info. I think what they do is a complete system wipe than reinstall software, if it don't work they send a new scope, instead of trying to fix the scope the good thing about receiving a new scope is it has the latest firmware, sometimes it will have an unreleased firmware, also i was told every time you get a new scope the warranty is extended.

I agree, they definitely pushed the product out prior to being 100%, we were beta testers for the scope. between my brother, my son, and myself we have had 9 different scopes. we worked through some of the issues with temp fixes in the field, but when the scope just don't work, nothing you can do. To us that first batch that was sent out May 2023 had all the issues, so many people having problems the comments and emails we received was tremendous. The issues seemed to slow down around Feb 2024, here we are 18+ months later, very few issues, what we see now are people asking how certain things works or how to set up options because the manual is not very clear or with the new firmware updates with new or improved options.

we don't have reindeer (caribou) here, they are whitetail deer (venison) very delicious natural beef.

Most of the time the hogs are within 100 yards of me, i have the 3x15 my brother has the 5x25, i should have added this to my review under cons, as you zoom in the image does get pixelated, i notice when you get past 6-7 mag this happens. I will check my video gallery and find some of the high mag videos to show you.

I have had that happen on 2 of the old scopes, issues like that are very frustrating because you know the scope has to go in for repair or replacement.

Both of us updated our scopes with the new firmware no problems so far, Scopes operates a lot smoother than before. What we have noticed with the X 5, the first few batches had tons of issues, since March it's rare that we hear of major issues.

No problem, so you know how it goes than, i am on my 3rd X 5, the third scope i got in Feb (knock on wood) zero issues with this one compared to first 2.

Congrats, i'm sure you will like the scope, it is a great scope even though there has been issues in the past. These newer scopes seem to have little to zero issues. GOOD LUCK, let me know how it is working and if you have any questions i will try and help you the best i can

Hello, my Brother Bill and I have never done a factory reset after a firmware update, not sure why you would have to do a factory reset.

Hiiiiii, i'm doing good just dealing with some health issues and trying to get everything in order for the move to TN, a lot o f moving parts to do what we want to. Hope all is good with you

First i was told that by ATN Tech that you will NOT lose your profiles, The way we do updates is with SD card in PC download firmware than place back into scope let it upload wait a few minutes than power off scope, turn back on and run through different menu options just to test functions. Also we always contact ATN Tech before uploading any new firmware to scope just to CYA.

Thank You, i will say this the first few batches of X 5's had a lot of problems, but now we very rarely see or hear about any issues, they have improved or fixed the issues from last year. There have been several times i wanted to get my money back. Especially when i missed 7 hogs and watching the video in slo mo and cross hairs were on target, the scope just would not save zero, but there was a temp fix that worked.

Bill and I we started to set up professional shop but we could not find a proper location for all the equipment

was a slow day but Anthony had alot of fun

Thank You for watching, i have been using it regularly when i didn't have an issue, biggest issue i had that took me awhile to figure out was the scope didn't save zero i missed 7 hogs, but other than that in the last year i have harvested 35 hogs. i also upgraded to the IR 850 Pro

@GadsdenFreedomOutdoors here in Wisconsin the cold always causes my Xsight 4 to freeze up. I am hoping they fixed that issue with the 5.

we have not seen or received any comments regarding that happening with the 5, i do remember reading somewhere that someone had that happen (don't recall which scope) but they used the atn cover that comes with scope in the cold, the cut parts away so they can see and use buttons

are you trying to zero the scope or the LRF?

@@GadsdenFreedomOutdoors I've zeroed the scope, but I can't get the BC or the RAV to work. I've tried the RAV many times. It will record the first shot, but not the second or third one. One time, it recorded the second but not the third. When I try to zero the LRF, I do not get the screen you show. When using the LRF to make the shots, it accurately measures the distance and I can do the math for the ballistics but I'd love to see the BC work.

I was told by ATN Tech that RAV must be calibrated on any caliber. On my first scope RAV didnt work, I tried my RAV a few times it does work, but i don't use it anymore, i find it easier just to hit record. The screen is different now they changed the LRF it use to be that red box now it is a green or red crosshair. I have seen people mention that the LRF is not accurate, i have tested the distance between the LRF and a rangefinder, mine was accurate. As far as the BC i did set mine up for my 308 with 3 profiles, i went hog hunting, went to shot a hog at 250 yards with BC on and did not work, BUT afterwards i learned that the BC did not load the new BALS, so you have to make sure after you make your profiles that you manual load the one your using. I will say the first batches of x sight 5's had tons of issues, we really haven't seen any issues with the later versions. We felt that way as well but after each of us had to send our scopes back and got replacements seems like less issues.

i believe Bill said that 90% of that community got damaged

there is so much damage still that has to be cleaned up

it's still really bad here, waiting on the counties to still clean everything up
