Beautiful!
Nice garden, John liked it, gave you a thumbs up and subscribed to your channel❤❤❤❤👍👍👍
Love Yo see Natures .Good Efforts .
Let that puppy grow, they are so nice and pretty when they are allowed to get 12 to 20 ft tall or so.
. the fence is there because the wall is falling apart . i always enjoy this garden that is in my neighborhood .
Love the small space inspo! Your garden looks great.
Great looking backyard!
Overgrown????? You are kidding right? This is just a baby and you just cut everything off
@@dd911 hi. Overgrown in terms of stem length per growing season. By cutting to the third or fourth node from the previous cut, I’m making sure the stems are strong enough to support the new growth. Now it is 6 feet round and very well self-supported. Had I left it, those long stems would flop over (as I said, it’s placed in a part sun area so the stems grow leggy). Hope that helps.
Also in Ottawa. chasta daIsies: mine wont grow. le sigh. they are more finicky than I thought
Wonderful color!
Beautiful garden
When hens n' chicks blooms it means it will die after blooming. It is it's last horrah! Thanks for sharing your garden.
Where did you get the iron from?? I cannot find it. Near Barrie Ontario.
On Amazon
Goals!! I love your garden - colourful, tasteful and in only 3 years!! Got lucky with a sale at Canadian Tire and bought a bunch of Heuchera. :)
Beautiful garden, I love the many varieties of huchera you have…I’m a huge fan. Well done
❤❤❤ so much beauty
Wow, that’s what I’m talking about with the full view ❤
Beautiful looking garden, its the bees knees.
Your garden is so beautiful❤. The best part is at the end where you showed the wider shot view and the full garden. Love the view from the patio and the kidney bed. I’m actually so inspired by it about to go take out more grass from my backyard and do something similar. Please continue to show more wide shot view. Love the side yard covered area as well
@@jjjohnston545 yes thank you! I will do more wide shots:) I’m so happy you’re inspired!
Hi there! I'm also in Ottawa. Any suggestions for affordable Heuchera?
@@lisaneville6155 big box stores are cheaper than ritchies and make it green. When you buy them, look at the crown and see how many split offs you can get. Sometimes you can get four plants from one tub
@@Wood.Gardens awesome! one more question: where did you get that hat? TIA :)
@@lisaneville6155 SunGrubbies El Ranchero. I love it, but I’m not sure it was worth the price (exchange rate and custom fee!!)
Your work out front looks good!
Nice garden! What is the name of the yellow sedum ground cover you have? I think you said the name but I didn't catch it.
@@danlents1764 Thank you! The yellow flowering sedum is called Sedum Acre and is on some invasive lists depending on your area. An alternate that behaves similar is Prima Angelina sedum, which I also have.
Beautiful looking garden and shed, they are the bees knees.
Great video! What's the front looking like?
@@lynnallen1315 oh yes. I keep forgetting the front. Will show it off on the next tour. Thanks!
Love that blue spruce! Too hot for where I live but the color is amazing! I have a Russian blue sage that adds a nice blue to purple vibe. The heucherras are gorgeous! Is the artemesia called Silver King?
@@lynnallen1315 that’s it! Silver King I believe. Oh and I just got a Russian Sage called Denim n Lace but it’s so small I missed it. Hope it does well. Sometimes I’m too clay and wet for desert like plants.
Beautiful looking garden, its the bees knees.
Looking good in the garden and it will mature and flow beautifully ! great Job
I love the leaf on that hardy hibiscus! Maples didn't work for me in East Texas, Zone 8a-b either. I've had both Japanese and silver. There are some new varieties I'm looking at. Looks great!
Beautiful.
Really pretty!
Beautiful looking garden, its the bees knees.
Beautiful 😍 beautiful! You made me laugh.....stretch. gardening is hard work and a great workout.
Great placement of your plants for color; it looks like a magazine shot. Even your grass looks great even if it is tall.
Thank you! It’s so hot, best to leave the grass long haha
Love the mix of color and texture.
Thank you! I used to only want flowers but starting to realize foliage colour & texture is the way to go
Can’t really see what you’re doing because of the angle of your camera
❤
I have one I want to move. Can you transplant it in June if you water it adequately?
Yes. Very hardy shrub. Cut off the blooms if any so all energy is sent to re-establishing the roots
Beautiful looking garden and garden shed, They are the bees knees.
Really lush and pretty!
Cynthia, your garden is beautiful! I live in Southern California and we do not get snow. It is amamzing to me how your plants come back after being buried in snow. Not only do they come back, but they are flourishing! You must be so happy with the progress.
I am! It’s a long winter wait but it’s worth it:)
Beautiful collection of gorgeous flowers.
Thank you for sharing. You seem to know more about plants than i do. I am learning too. Cardinal flower usually is right next to rivers so you are right about why it isn't doing well. If you have a wet spot in your garden you could try it there. When i move closer to your region again i hope to make a pond and 'gentle trench' to create wetter and drier areas to allow for plants that like varying wetness. I appreciate that you are sharing your garden with us. Enjoy!
Also, this is Jordan Smith's wife, not Jordan sending this message. Lol.
Your garden is beautiful ❤️
Im in the same zone as you 5a or b! Im more into growing peppers though! Looking amazing over there too beautiful 🌱🌱💚💚
Love the variety of plants you’ve put in, the garden is looking great! Do you have your Bloomerang lilac on drip irrigation, it looks fabulous! I’ve had the shrub version for at least 5 years and it has never bloomed so profusely. What is your secret to such Bloomerang success?
I’m not sure. It gets 5 hours of sun. We don’t need drip irrigation because we get a LOT of rain in the spring. Maybe that’s why 🤷🏻♀️ Thanks for watching:) good luck with yours
Was really happy to find your video. I'm also from Ontario (Sudbury). I have a lot of the same plants. Great video! Love your garden!
Beautiful garden
Greetings from Ireland, You have a beautiful garden and red shed, They are the bees knees.
Thank you! I’m guessing Canada has similar climate/zones to Ireland.
@@Wood.Gardens We have a twelve foot by eight foot glasshouse which is used to over winter some of the potted plants that we have. The other plants stay outside, we can get an artic blast the odd winter. This winter was fairly ok but spring was very wet. March was the wettest on record and April wasn't much better.
I live in Peterborough & ground covers are great. I got some “volunteer” creeping phlox (no clue how it got in my garden, but it’s gorgeous. I have that Snow in Summer-have had it for many years. I just grab pieces & put it in between plants & looks amazing. Same with your lemon coral sedum, grab pieces & put them elsewhere in your garden. I love it & stands out. I have a succulent garden & easy way to propagate. Nice garden!!! My goal is more of drought tolerant garden-coneflowers, black eye Susan’s, nepeta, salvia, hostas, penstemons, lupine, coral bells
Hello and thanks for watching. I have yet to get lupine. Was thinking of it. I was also hoping that one day, I’d convert my entire front lawn to low growing sedums. Maybe one day. But my grass is so established and attached to my neighbour’s so it would be a tricky cut off. Still, brainstorming…
Hi. Enjoyed your video. I am in North Bay and I also had thick powdery mildew on my ninebark last summer.
Hello! First time I’ve seen this on mine. Hopefully the spray helps. Any other tricks you know of?
Your grass is really lush. What do you do?
Hi Lynn:) I sprinkle fertilizer pellets on in the spring and fall. I water a lot during droughts. And I dig out various weeds like chickweed, dandelions and crab grass when I see them. I do allow the clover and violets.
