    I live in QLD Australia so the heat should be fine I use to put insulation in roofs do that on a day that is 38c or 100f plus then make it a black roof low pitch the roof cavity can exceed 60c or 140f if you take a phone up there it will turn off in less then 5 minuets from to much heat on the plus side when you climb out 40c or 104f feels like AC

    Hello, So i went for my 2nd trip to Japan this year and stayed in Shinjuku Tokyo. I exchanged my Euro's at the shops behind Shinjuku Station. The rates were in my opinion good and they dont charge a fee. I remember hearing about Travelex, but i could not find the shop in Shinjuku. I came across these shops (behind the station) by accident and decided (after looking for the best rate) to exchange there. Do you recommend these shops behin Shinjuku Station or do you recommend others ? (I go back in March 2025) Thank You.

      There are many stores in Shinjuku with poor rates, so it would be dangerous to exchange at a store you find by chance. As I mentioned in the video, I recommend World Currency Shop.

      @@ONOinJapan I remember trying to look for this shop (World Currency Shop) in Shinjuku, but when searching on Google Maps and i found "World Currency Shop Shinjuku Nishiguchi", but when i got there, i found no shop there... So i ended up going to smaller shops. Now i read that maybe the shop was underground, it is a little confusing for 1st timers 😅. Do you know this shop or another one in Shinjuku i could try ? Thank You 🙏

    Good info. Not only Shibuya Station, Shinjuku station also like a maze too. When I travelled to Tokyo in April, I always walk from Shinjuku station to the hotel on the street instead of the walking underground; otherwise, I got lost. I agree that travelers must have cash. I think it depends on how long are you going to stay, but I think you should bring more than $10,000.00 per day, and you should have more $1,000 yen as not every machine accept $2,000 or $5,000 yen. I also brought one to two bags for storing garbage during the day. It was very difficult to find a garbage bin while I was in Tokyo...

  • @ryukusu_luminarius
    @ryukusu_luminarius 17 днів тому

    Google says 85°F is 29-30°C, which is not a problem for me as I comfortably sleep at 28°C almost the whole year. And I don't consider it hot until it is higher than 35°C. So, heat in Japan is not a problem for me. If it is the same as in Thailand (with humidity), I can bear it. However, I didn't know about the typhoon season. Thank you for sharing that.

    @thewickeyr 18 днів тому

    Dear Mr. Ono. I appreciate your video. However, I must politely disagree with some of your assertions. Having lived in Japan for eight years, I spent many a summer in the Kansai region. Yes it was hot, yes I experienced a few typhoons (nothing too serious, thank god), tourist spots are always crowded (especially during New Year's -- Winter -- and GW (Golden Week) in May -- Spring. One of the things that helped with mosquitoes were the "kikka senko", or, pyrethrum mosquito coils that, when burning, produce an incense that did a fairly good job repelling the bugs. If you visit cities, they will be noisy most of the year. Indeed, the two best seasons to visit Japan IMHO are the Spring and Fall. But summer isn't too bad if you prepare, and your video explains this. Last year, I had the opportunity to visit during the summer, and had one of the most amazing trips/experiences. Not perfect by any stretch, but my six weeks were one of the most memorable ever (Recommendations: Go to Tohoku region, north of Tokyo. Aomori, Akita, Sendai....just beautiful).

And I visited a relative in the army stationed at Fort Polk, LA in mid-summer, so we knew humidity. Osaka during the time we went in late August was the worst I’ve ever felt in terms of humidity. It just saps the strength right out of you.
