i don't get why people don't mention mof stage 4 when they're talking about the game's difficulty, that stage is possibly the craziest difficulty spike of any fourth stage, maybe even being harder than the game's fifth stage

my first touhou game was touhou 11. and i'm too stubborn to play and beat any other touhou game until i beat it.

From easy to hardest (also I haven't played enough of 16, 17, 18) 7 PCB. I've played this one the most and its my favorite so that's why I find it the easiest 8 IN. I've play this one quite often too 4th stage was pretty lengthy. 10 MoF. Is easy overall but I Don't play this one as often and I just find 7 and 8 easier. 6. Eosd No hit box is the only thing but its kinda soild. 14 DDC. I find this pretty easier until stage 5 and 6. then it gets very cruel. 13 TD . I don't played this one much so ummmm.... 11. SA. This ones pretty cruel. play it very often too Just because I love the music. But really struggle everytime I play this one. 12 This is my personal least favorite So I barely play it but last time I played it, it was pretty hard. 15. holy frick this one is hard as crap especially the last two boss clown piece Is more known because all my continues gets used up by this point, even on easy difficulty. I've gotten to the last boss 2 times but I find it even harder than clown piece. I actually do enjoy playing this one though becasuse I do love the music and it is kinda funny watch others play this one.

I’ve been playing touhou for a few weeks and have done a perfect NN clear on lolk’s stage 2/3/4 bosses. They were all REALLY difficult because of my lack of experience in touhou. It actually really surprised me that LoLK was considered easier than UFO (which i’m trying to 1cc without bombs atm lol) Shou, Murasa and Byakuren are quite difficult bosses, but I found all the LoLK bosses being much harder. All of UFO’s stage 5 + stage 6’s midbosses are total 1cc killers too! It’s going to be really quite a difficult task to 1CC it

Lunatic clears are very exhausting. But I find that playing on lower difficulties with some kind of challenge (e.g. No Miss clear Normal) can be pretty fun whilst still pushing one's skill to a higher level and potentially feeling even more rewarding than a regular Lunatic 1CC. The best of both worlds IMO.

Is it weird that I have normal 1cc'ed EoSD without much issue without the hitbox visibility mod, but I still haven't been able to 1cc MoF at all? Stage 4 (Aya in particular) gives me a good amount of trouble...

I like that after all these years the most important and coolest technique for learning Japanese hasn't changed much. Except maybe that a lot of new learners are learning kanji and vocabulary at the same time. I mean seeing a word with kanji and remembering how to write it and what it means, that's really works. I can even confirm that I can name what kanji means without words, even though I haven't even studied them separately. This video didn't teach me anything new, but thank you for helping other people over the years.

My issue is that I want the satisfaction of a good run, not just a 1cc. I'd rather spend more time grinding and improving my skills than bombing every other spell just to get through the run. Now don't get me wrong, it's a completely valid approach. But it's just not a way I can enjoy these games, which in a way, is quite the curse.

Thanks for your guide. I guess it works pretty well for me. In a bit more than half a year I've gone through N5 to N3 Memrise courses and currently learning intermediate stuff on Imabi. Now I'm going to start reading vns. I have a question though. Did you do some course for N2 vocabs or just learned new words from visual novels?

My first Lunatic 1cc was Subterranean Animism and I reached stage 6 with 1 extra live and 0 power (by the way, Orin was not that bad). I think, resources are not to be overestimated, your will to fight is what matter the most.

IN gives you a lot of hits you can take due to the absurdly long deathbombing window, but its patterns are way harder than in PCB. Hell, i felt like i did better in PoFV, even though in both i only got to the final bosses and didn't defeat them. And, like, PCB is my first game, PoFV is second, IN is third and i didn't play any other touhou(aside from the fanmade TNA, which is my actual first). And the reason why i have 2 unfinished and 1 un1ccd is because i got kinda sick of pcb, PoFV didn't scratch the correct itch and IN is the last one i started, lol
