Thank you for these Meta retrospective videos, they're so interesting and I love to see content for Meta on YT ! I'm wondering if you'd know about the Old Rose series ? Lolibrary has a few listings for it that indicate 2010 as the year of release, but I recently acquired a skirt with that print that has the same wide cross lace as some early 2000s pieces ?? I'm very confused about that :')

This was a fun deep dive! I loved hearing your thoughts on each piece, as well as the information you gave about which pieces might be plus-size-friendly. I noticed you repeated yourself a few times using different audio takes for the same piece, which was a little distracting at times. Other than that, I liked this video and look forward to the next one.

Btssb has always been my favorite brand but I have to say meta during the 2000s was way more creative when it comes to styles, prints and themes. There are maybe 4 or 5 btssb prints I love, but more meta prints.

I own the gingham cherry shirring jsk, and even though it claims to have a max bust of 140cm it might not work out that way irl. I currently have a 108cm bust and when I wear this jsk the shirring in the front is completely stretched out at bust height, whilst the shirring in the back is still very gathered. This has something to do with the size and shape of the front and back panel, and how it looks on a body with a large measurement difference between bust and waist. I think this jsk might look better on someone who has a smaller measurement difference between bust and waist. It's not made for a larger cup size. Meta also made many versions of the "Shirring Tiered Ribbon JSK" that went up to 120cm, some even report it going to 130cm (might depend on the release), that didn't seem to have this problem.

Oooh okay I own Teddy Patissier in the Sleeve JSK. I always referred to it as an OP, now I know it’s not. As far as plus size friendliness, it’s about on par with Berry Stripe. (Tighter than Girly Note.)

Ooooh I own the fully shirred Berry Stripe OP. It is stretchy, but it is not as comfortable as Girly Note. I do not know why. It could be because Girly Note’s elastic is more worn out, and as time passes Berry Stripe will get looser.

Music Note OP: I LOVE IT!! So comfy!! I am 110 bust and 96 waist and there’s plenty of room and it is one of my FAVORITE pieces!!

That 2004 website is so cute I definitely want to wander around it! It would be so cool for them to implement customer coords again, I know they sometimes track the #mtdf tag on insta so if they could pull from there that'd be really neat! Punkuma is such a fascinating design if they ever re released this print I think I'd go hog wild, interesting to see how the different cuts meta produces each gives the print a different feeling!! (Also the 10 gallon hat omfg) Shocked to see a tube top but also meta is so funky it makes sense, here's hoping they bring back printed cutsews So sad that the thumbelina series was so limited Lovely video as always!!

the window print OP is fully shirred and super comfy for me, but i recommend it for under 100cm bust because the skirt loses volume much after that

I love seeing content about Meta! Meta and ETC are my favorite brands and I don't see nearly enough content about either of them.

About 2 years ago I saw Magical Painting on Onegaishi shop and ever since it has been my grail dress <3 Since then I have found out about other crown label prints and honestly I personally like them A LOT more than most AP prints from around that time and I fucking love Angelic Pretty XD I although personally have to dissagree with you on Tales of the Wood simply because I think Tails of the Wood and Milky-Chan the fawn are equally as cute BUT that is saying a lot because Milky-Chan (the character) is pink (my fave color)

The only heart label piece I have is the heart print skirt, but it's so cute and comfy that I'm wondering why I haven't bought any more heart label stuff(or any other meta at all!)

Lovely video! I was fortunate enough to go to 2 Metamorphose Q&A panels at Tekko this past year, and someone did bring up crown label! From what I remember, the designers were using Crown Label for more of their designs that they felt didnt go in line with their main brand, but now they no longer feel the need to have a side line for their different styles. I do wonder what this would mean for a rerelease, or if we would ever get one, as there are a few im particularly fond of. Also thank you for sharing the tier post maker as well!

I thoroughly enjoyed the video but something didn't sound right to me. Metamorphose was making crown label items way before 2009 but it was a line of simpler and less expensive items. I'm guessing they changed the direction of the line in 2009 or made it an official sub brand in 2009 and that's why their website states that year. Sources; I was into lolita from 2003 till 2008 and there were plenty of crown label items before 2009. There are also crown label items listed before 2009 on lolibrary. They typically use the abbreviation CL instead of spelling out "crown label". There are lolibrary entries for crown label items starting in 2001.
