Sooo I got a 3200 psi pressure washer do I still use the 40° or should I use 65°?
Amazing. Thank you.
@@Akramer12 You’re welcome, thanks for watching!
I can't stand when people are wiping leather seats in a car with conditioner. Leather in vehicles is not raw like saddle or boots. Thank you for pointing this out.
@@sandykavor8434 You’re welcome, I appreciate the feedback, and glad you liked it!
Where can I get the material you squeezed on the seat?
Amazon and superior products website directly or from Oreilly’s Auto Parts Store. If you want the most current up to date products I recommend, make sure to check the description. Thanks for watching!
I'm in nj can i buy this product myself?
You can, however you may need to become certified to purchase their products first. Contact them for the best way to do that in your area, or you can also find alternatives that do not need a certification. There is a ton of great ceramic coating options out there that do not require a certification. Great question, thanks for watching!
Jesus Christ man talk a little slower and drag it out longer 😂
What was the second product you used?
Dark Fury by Superior Products, thanks for watching!
@ I thought that was the first product you used?
@@Los714 I first used a rinse-less wash such as P&S Absolute Rinse-less, then Superior Products Dark Fury, then Meguiars Wheel Brightener. Meguiars Wheel Brightener is currently discontinued, and can be substituted with another similar wheel acid such as Superior Products Wire Wheel Cleaner.
@ thank you
Does it work on glass as well?
Yes it does, I have a video on that as well. Search “how to remove water spots from car windows Highlands Auto Detailing”. Great question, thanks for watching!
Whicg one is good for brown tires?
Both are great options, but I’d consider Dark Fury if you’re looking for the more aggressive choice. The browning you’re likely seeing is actually the anti-ozonant-a protective chemical in the tire that turns brown when it rises to the surface. Trying to aggressively remove it can shorten the tire’s lifespan because that compound helps protect against premature cracking from UV rays and ozone exposure. Just an FYI if you’re interested. Great question, and thanks for watching!
@ actually i shouldve clarified. My tires get brown cause of desert trails. Thanks for the advice and the knowledge i cant get in college! I picked up some dark fury and it worked pretty good.
@ Oh I see, well Im glad it worked out. You’re welcome for the info!
This polish is so versatile. Results look great! The only thing I do differently is use a blue or red Buff and Shine pad - the original style. Great tip nonetheless!
Not sure it the question has been asked but can I put the chemicals in the window?
Yep you can use it and the same method on the windows! (On the outside part of the windows of course) Find my recent video on removing water spots from car windows. Thanks for watching
My recommendation is buy these from Hone Depot. They usually sell them as kits with batteries included or sometimes even other tools included in those kits. I bought this polisher with 3 batteries and a vacuum cleaner for under $500. I saved $400 buying it as a kit instead of dropping $300 to buy just the polisher.
I appreciate your feedback and suggestion! Yes, Home depot is a great and convenient way to purchase this tool and others with multiple deals running periodically throughout the year. Thanks for watching!
@ thanks for responding. Subscribed !!!!
Is the product diluted?
Yes it is, 50/50. But you can also use it at full strength if needed. Thanks for watching!
@ Thank you !
Bro i use onr 256 to 1 for everything
Thanks for sharing your experience! I can definitely see why you’d prefer that simple ratio for everything. Personally, I’ve found that while ONR is a great product, it doesn’t offer quite as much lubrication as others for certain tasks, like clay barring, even when mixed according to the directions. For me, Absolute Rinseless (Now currently my favorite) and DIY seems to provide more lubrication, even when the dilution is a bit off, which really helps minimize marring. I also tried the latest revision of ONR, and while it’s definitely an improvement, I still find it very noticeably less effective in terms of lubrication compared to some other options. Just my two cents-of course, everyone’s experience may differ based on their specific needs!
@highlandsautodetailing nice ive ben trying out absolute lately and I do like how slick it is but so far it's seems to streak more then onr v5 and also dosent seem to have as much cleaning power as onr v5 but I need to use it more thats just my initial thoughts after only using it a lil bit
Polisher for water spots? Hell nah they going to wear out their clear coat over time
whats that called?
Its a jump starter from Harbor Freight
I was my brand new car with meguiars wash and wax does it protect the paint enough if i was it weekly bc i dont wanna wax it separately to reduce scratches
You didn’t mention orifice size. Angle doesn’t change pressure, orifice does.
@@sayurasem Thank you for your feedback! You’re absolutely right that the orifice size of the nozzle determines the actual PSI produced by the pressure washer. I didn’t mention orifice sizes in this video because, for most people, it’s not something they need to worry about if they’re using the nozzles that came with their pressure washer. These nozzles are already matched to the machine’s PSI and GPM. The key point I wanted to make is that the angle of the nozzle can significantly impact how safe it is for certain surfaces. For example, even with the same orifice size, a 0° nozzle concentrates the force into a narrow stream that can damage paint, while a 40° nozzle disperses the pressure over a wider area, making it much safer for car detailing. For most users, sticking with the manufacturer-provided nozzles and choosing a 40° (white) nozzle for car detailing preferably on a roughly 1,900 psi machine is one of the safest and most effective options. But if buying replacement options, it is important to purchase nozzles rated for your specific machine with appropriate orifice sizes. I appreciate you pointing this out, thanks for watching!
Great overview!
@@PrestigeRoyalDetailing Thanks!
I used a leather conditioner on my brand new 2024 nappa leather seats as I felt I had no choice, they looked dehydrated and I felt if I didn’t the leather would crack. Plus I’ve always heard you have to keep leather hydrated.
Thank you for sharing your feedback and experience! There’s absolutely no issue with using conditioner if it enhances your peace of mind and gives you the results you like. If it improves the appearance of your specific material and you enjoy the look, that’s what matters most. Personally, I choose not to use it for a few reasons: it can attract dust, create an uneven finish, and often leaves behind persistent chemical odors that may be harmful, especially when the vehicle heats up. Not to mention simplifying my process, it’s a pain going over the entire vehicle with this stuff regularly and not worth it to me. Lol. While many products also claim to offer UV protection, I sometimes wonder if these “protectants” might actually contribute to faster UV degradation-though that’s purely speculative on my part. Ultimately, I prefer the natural, factory finish, even if it means sacrificing a bit of long-term durability. That said, everyone has their own priorities and preferences, and that’s what makes these discussions so interesting. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, and take care!
What if I don't care about the streaks/haziness? I have a white car. Will I get better protection if I spray it on without buffing out the streaks/haze?
Great question! Applying a ceramic spray coating more liberally doesn’t improve its protection. For the best results, prioritize a thin, even application, proper surface preparation, and following the manufacturer’s guidelines. Overapplying can cause streaking and, more importantly, uneven curing, potentially compromising durability and appearance.
Great video. Will the Mguires wheel brightner be safe on PPF and ceramic coated vehicles ?
Thanks for the great question! It’s tough for me to answer this in short words. The durability of PPF and ceramic coatings really depends on the quality of both products and whether the coating was applied correctly. While many assume all ceramic coatings offer the same level of protection, only certain professional-grade, permanent coatings are usually designed to handle regular exposure to highly acidic or highly alkaline cleaners. DIY-grade coatings are excellent for most situations, but they’re better suited for mild cleaners. They can tolerate some harsher chemicals, but over time, this can significantly reduce their performance and lifespan. The quality of the PPF is equally important, as not all films are created equal. Some are far more chemical-resistant than others, so researching the specific PPF and coating you’re working with is crucial. If you’re detailing a customer’s vehicle, always ask what PPF or coating is on their car before using aggressive cleaners. This ensures you’re protecting their investment. Thanks for watching!
Your advice saved my car paint!!

Would a handbrush work if you don't have a drill?
Absolutely you can, just ensure it’s a dedicated soft upholstery brush. Thats what I started out with 15 years ago 👍 Obviously more labor intensive. Thanks for watching!
I have plenty of the McGuire's wheel brightener and didn't want to buy wire wheel cleaner right now. Do you trust the wheel brightener on glass?
Yes that will work perfectly 👍
@highlandsautodetailing thanks for responding. Do you trust the Barkeepers Friend cleanser on windshield water spots?
I like to ask professionals what I see DIYers doing.
@ Bar Keepers Friend can remove water spots, and I suppose its an option, but it’s primarily an abrasive cleaner for things like stainless steel and glass cookware, and it lacks the lubrication found in detailing products. While it might work in a pinch, it can be harsh and potentially cause scratches on your car’s glass if not used carefully. For tough water spots, I recommend a wheel acid, which, although not designed for glass, is much more effective at breaking down mineral deposits without damaging the surface.
@highlandsautodetailing wheel cleaner it is. Thanks for reaching out
What do you recommend for bmw leather seats with dye transfer?
Assuming your vehicle has coated leather, like most modern cars, the cleaning process is straightforward. However, if you’re dealing with older, non-coated leather, you’ll need specialized cleaners and conditioners designed for traditional leather care. For regular maintenance, start with something gentle to preserve the leather. A diluted no-rinse car wash solution works great-simply follow the dilution instructions for interior use, dampen a high-quality microfiber towel, and gently wipe the seats. Afterward, immediately dry the area with another clean microfiber towel to remove any excess moisture. If the results aren’t quite what you’re hoping for, you can step up to P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner, diluted 1:1 for added safety. When using it, work in small sections (about 6” x 6”) to limit the cleaner’s dwell time on the surface. This helps protect the leather’s finish, especially if the coating is compromised. In my experience, P&S Xpress is safe and effective, but working quickly reduces the risk of affecting the dye, particularly with thin or weak coatings, or with easily transferable colors like black. Finally, always test the product in an inconspicuous area before full application to ensure compatibility, especially if the leather’s protective coating is worn or if it’s traditional, non-coated leather. In this case, explore traditional specialized leather cleaners like Lexol or something similar which can be a more extensive cleaning process. Let me know how it works for you or if you have any other questions!
Interesting test. We have pretty soft water here in the PNW. Ive got some vinegar around the house so I'll try that first
I’m also originally from the PNW, so I didn’t have to deal with water spots as much as I do here. If I were you, I’d try a simple alkaline wheel cleaner like P&S Brake Buster. It has lubrication properties that make it safer to agitate the paint without risking marring or scratches. Vinegar, on the other hand, doesn’t provide that lubrication and could potentially cause damage. Just some food for thought, but nothing wrong with it if thats what you want to try. Good luck!
@@highlandsautodetailing thanks for the tip
Have you ever tried a vinegar and water 50/50 solution?
Yes I have, search my channel for “Does vinegar remove water spots on car”. You will see the video I made testing it on very hard water spots here in Florida.
That just cost me $5 in distilled water. Distilled water use to be $.50! A thimble of Dawn works just as well along with regular tap water.
Totally understand where you’re coming from, distilled water prices have definitely gone up! Dawn and tap water can absolutely work in a pinch, and it’s great that you’re finding ways to save. I showcase McKee’s 37 Pad Rejuvenator because it’s designed specifically to break down polish and wax residue while being gentle on the pads. The goal of the video wasn’t to suggest tap water doesn’t work, but to highlight how proper pad care can be an additional and optional step to help avoid potential paint finishing issues. Sometimes, the minerals in tap water can contribute to things like micro-marring or DA haze, which can be easy to overlook and can ruin a beginners day on a black car with soft paint. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and perspective!
does the sofa paint stain your cloths since then?
Just used a quality cleaner and method to restore the leather, which I do for all my customers regularly. No leather dye involved or needed, if that’s what you meant-I’m not quite sure. Regardless, I understand the skepticism if that’s the case, and I appreciate you watching!
all that talk about using clean water... just to dump it in the kitchen sink?
The focus in the video is on using mineral-free water for the pads, not necessarily cleanliness or sanitation. I’m not sure what you find contradictory about rinsing in the sink, but I apologize if there was any confusion. Feel free to use a bucket or whatever works best for you with the same process. Thanks for watching!
Can you use acid and break buster on painted panels as well ?
Absolutely you can, same process 👍
You gonna get your hands on optis new aio?
Actually yes, Im interested in trying it out and plan on purchasing it soon. Thanks for watching!

Can i take the generator in my car/suv to locations without poisoning? Have you felt any poising from that generator before?
Im assuming you mean fumes in the car? If so, you definitely need to be careful about gasoline fumes and or exhaust. Keep the windows open all the time when running it of course, and anytime you’re in there driving at least. I hope this helps, thanks for watching!
thank you , what is the best product to remove sunscreen stain?
That’s a great question! If P&S Xpress doesn’t work, I personally turn to Zap-It by Superior Products for removing tough stains, even on leather. However, I don’t use it frequently on leather because it’s not a gentle product. and not specifically designed for it. It’s a decision you’ll need to weigh carefully. it can deliver excellent results but comes with risks like potential dye transfer or color issues. Just keep that in mind before applying it. Thanks again for the question, and I appreciate you watching!
I think the process is great but not for a 1 year prosumer product. All this is required for a 5 year pro coating. Turtle wax is not a pro product and shouldn’t really be used as such.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! I believe the fundamental principles remain the same regardless of which protection product you choose. The distinction between “pro” and consumer-grade products is always up for debate. I’ve personally seen many over-the-counter sealants outperform those marketed as “pro-grade.” That said, this is just my opinion and doesn’t mean I think you’re wrong. It’s all about finding what works best for you. Proper paint preparation is key to achieving the best results, whether you’re using a wax, sealant, or coating. The only step I’d consider optional is the panel prep solution, unless you’re applying a coating designed to last 3+ years. Thanks for watching!
I see so many detailers misunderstand how vehicle leather seats are made and use methods/chemicals that will undoubtedly destroy the top coat. I was worried you were going to use the abrasive side of the scrub ninja at the beginning of the video. Well put information here for viewers to clean leather seats safely. Great content.

CCR Fortunate Son, great song. I use Absolute for all interior wipe downs, I was maintaining 26 Sprinters every weekend. Some weekends I would do 13 on Saturday and 13 on Sunday, other weekends I would knock out all 26 with a partner. I did this for 7 months, so that’s 28 weekends, at 26 Sprinters each weekend, totals to 728 vehicles detailed. I got to utilize and understand its capabilities very well. I like the scent too.
The more I use Absolute Rinseless, the more I have to say, it’s quickly becoming my favorite.
