I have a snap posterior tear in my labrum I see my doctor again tomorrow been off work for two months. My shoulder still not strong enough to lift heavy over my head not sure if I’ll be to go back to my job at the wear house just how physical and all the lifting u have to do.

I'm having rotator cuff repair surgery 11/26. I'm concerned about the pain and the rehab. I'm scheduled to be off work for 6 weeks. When does rehab usually begin after surgery?

Had that problem every time with flue vax (extreme shoulder pain, stiffness, etc), 2nd round, shoulder injury followed which required therapy. COVID hit, no more flue vax due to being required to wear a mask at work, so no flue vax for 4yrs, and poof; no more chronic shoulder pain, and back to normal, like before having flue vax, and the shoulder injury. Amazing, almost like something in it is toxic to me.

Had a double dose of nerve block. First wore off in 14 hours, second wore off after 3 days. New protocol, only needed opioids for 2 days after nerve block wore off.

How about PRP THERAPY (platlet rich plasma )

I tore my rotator cuff (and a bicep tear) in Sept. And didn't get an MRI until the end of Oct. Having surgery end of Nov. Is that a long wait to get repaired? I took the first available MRI. Why it took so long I don't know 🤷🏼‍♀️

Nearly 2 weeks post my 2nd subacromial decompression surgery and I've got so much pain still. I also have grade 4 chondral loss in which I need shoulder replacement but I can't because I'm too young 😢

Sleeping in bed with the sling was hell. I started seeing things that weren't there because of lack of sleep. Painkillers, ice and something to set me off sleeping helped. Initial physio was a walk in the park : passive exercises. Once I could lose the sling, things felt waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Sometimes it felt as if there was nothing wrong with my shoulder. But then physio shifted gear regularly and every time I was fairly painless for a while and I had to exercise more strength the pain was back. Frustrating, but logic according to therapist : I have to keep pushing tendons and muscles harder every next time. Estimation : little under six months more physio. Sleeping without the sling is risky, I feel. On occasion I have made bad moves in my sleep that caused a lot of pain. Without damage, but it always takes a few days to wane off.

Full pectoral tendon rupture. Day eight after surgery and only had to take Tylenol and ibuprofen for three days. No pain

58 yo. Only tweaky pain on occasion. No previous severe pain. Hitting a 9 iron on the range (after a good warm up) and a grenade went off in my left shoulder 6 days ago. MRI shows intermediate to high grade articular surface tearing throughout the infraspinous tendon with full thickness component. Interstitial delaminating tear. Slap lesion. Surgery is in 7 days. Repairing RTC and SLAP lesion. Shaving spur off AC joint. Biceps tenodesis. Appreciate the video. Hoping to be golf ready in 6 months as well as back to the usual gym every morning before work Soooo frustrating. It took a long time to get to where I am after a 3 level laminectomy in 2020

Hi! I have a question for you. I have broken my collarbone after a cycling accident mid July this year. It's my second time.. this time the far end of the clavicle is broken. After more than 2 months it did not heal. I am planned for surgery next month. First the plan was to put a plate on top (hoping the loose distal clavicle is big enough), but now the surgeon suggested to remove the broken part of distal clavicale. Off course I have pain atm, but I am trying to understand what is better for my future: removing or a plate. What do you think? Thank you for your response and greatings from the Netherlands.

I'm scheduled for rotator cuff surgery because of full tear in my right shoulder. I don't want to lose all muscle tone and strength and am looking for safe core and thigh exercises. So many that I do now are floor, pilates bar and weight exercises. What's recommended following shoulder surgery for those muscles?

Sling helps support shoulder as it heals n nerves n trndondons relax n go bk into position n helps it to stop stretching while it heals pain tells u it still healing.

Right arm full thickness tear and torn labrum. Started driving on day ten. No issues. Had broken my hand before so i was used to using my weak hand/arm for everything. Don't sweat it. Worst part is sleeping, everything else..fairly easy.

Use the white board marker over the Sharpe and it will come off .

I've heard that if you trace over the Sharpie marks with a whiteboard pen then they will come off.

Well, unfortunately now we know this can happen with Covid-19 vaccination and it happend to me. It's an absolute horror, you follow your government's call to show solidarity, "get vaccinated to safe lifes" and it leaves you now in constant pain in your left arm and shoulder for now more than 3 years! I am absolutely afraid, Doctor! Not only because of the pain and frozen shoulder but please, can you tell what happens with the vaccine if it is wrongfully injected? Injected in a place where it shouldn't belong? What does it effect? The vaccine should be given at a specific point and therefore also land at a specific point in the body, the upper arm muscle. So what happens to patients like me if the vaccine is injected into the bursa of the shoulder? I panic every day and have the worst thoughts. Doctors in Germany are not interested, absurdly label me as an anti-vaxer and throw me away like garbage. All I need is the answer to this one question because otherwise I can't sleep. I beg you, I can pay you money for your answer, but please inform me and others: What happens to the Biontech vaccine if it ends up in the wrong place? What does it do there? Does the body react incorrectly to the vaccine there? I am at my emotional end... you can safe lifes with your answer.

My right LHBT is causing a fair amount of pain when swimming. Shots don't seem to help for very long. I know friends who had LHBT tenodesis and the recovery is forever. About 10 years ago, my left LHBT detached on its own. I have no pain anymore and seemingly no consequences. Yet, articles suggest possible instability. Is there a clear path forward in this situation?

About to have surgery to repair multiple items ( slap tear, tendon, rotator cuff tear) and I was jumping with joy when I received paperwork that said they’d be sending an ice machine home with me. Had to explain to family that it helps pain a lot and is strongly recommended.

My tip is to fill the machine with frozen water bottles. You can rotate the bottles in and out of the freezer, and it is much easier than bags of ice

I had my surgery 4 weeks ago. Had 100% range of motion at 1st PT session. Healing great. My ussue is I had the slung off alit during the first 4 weeks and was using the arm because tgere was no pain in doing so. I was then told Im not to use it at all. Should I worry that I re-tore it?

I'm 25 years old and suffering from shoulder injury from last 8 months. my MRI shows a minor tear in ligament near ac bone. Is it okay to run just one cycle of deca & testa? I just want to cure my shoulder injury please help me out!

My tendon is torn off the bone n it's still painful at times when I do too much lean or sleep on it wrong or too long the other is torn too n muscle hoping the muscle is healing itself so it'll only be 2 things the specialist surgeon plus scrape the arthritis off the top of shoulder. Some days it's ok others days it so painful I can't even lift it.

Can a Biceps SLAP heal by itself?

My tendon came loose from the wires on the anchor and I was told it's stuck inside the bicipital groove and stay there and heal there unless I go and lift a table before 3 month. I am skeptical about this because I has a ultrasound and it showed my bicipital groove are 13mm wide and I guess the tendon are not thicker than this. What I can read the bicipital groove with the ligaments are maybe around 1cm long so my guess it would slide easily through. The ultrasound did not show any tendon there but he said there was some scar tissue. Does it not sound strange? I'm going to have a ultrasound examination at the surgeon hospital and a dynamic examination so maybe it shows more. Can I do a manual check myself if the tendon are healing and have you seen this healing there before?

Surgery scheduled Dec.2 2024. Super nervous. Ive had a hysterectomy, tonsillectomy, and 2 kids naturally and 2 kids w epidural .. only things I can compare pain😂 super curious how this is going to be😬
