Also great video man really enjoyed watching it maybe one day we will have to get together and u can teach me more about swinging flies i just got a single hander 8wt i use with a SA anadro indicator line ive considered getting a second spool and line for it for a heavier shooting line or the OPST commando head

Whats your winter steelhead setup ?

Tough luck there, man! Over here in UK red/orange/yellow/black are the go-to colour combinations for salmon and sea trout (sea run browns) flies when there's colour in the water and it's running heavy after rain. In northern England and Scotland most of our rivers run with a heavy peat stain from the hills as the flood passes through. Relieved to see you have bad days over on pacific NE ! 😂👍

Il keep playing with the heads and tips but honestly I don’t feel the r8 is worth 1300 . The echo full swing is just as light. Could have saved myself 700 buckaroos

I'm with you on the Seaguar fluro. Helps tube flies sink quicker and it props up the trailing hook very nicely.

I guide in the UK and always use reels with the most noise - 1 because I love it and 2 as your buddy said I know what clients are doing with their fish as often we can’t see the rod - reminded me of fishing for sea trout at night over here - great vid!
