Spey Fishing For Winter Steelhead // A High Water Swing

In this video, we are in search of some high water winter steelhead with spey rods. Spey fishing for winter steelhead in high off color water was challenging on this day . The water was starting to drop into shape. I shot some video of Rey while working down a steelhead run. Reys spey casting was on point ,but unfortunately was not able to get a winter steelhead to grab. There was also a chance of hooking a late coho salmon with the spey rod. Spey Fishing and spey casting can be very challenging during the winter months.Sink tips and large steelhead intruder flies were on the menu. If you have never tried spey fishing I recommend doing so its a fun and very challenging way to catch a winter steelhead or any fish for that matter. Get out and explore , make it happen .Fish it well.

I enjoyed the spey footage!!
I've been trying to find some time to head out. Been tough.
Probably going to head coastal a few times in a row in February.
