i saw the trailer for this in a theater and I was looking forward to seeing it. It never made it to a local theater and a few months later I saw it at a Borders Books for $10. I bought it and was absolutely floored. It's in my top ren list and if you go out of the way to watch it, it will be in yours.

too much "insight" commentary mid scene which ruined the reaction and your attention to the movie itself, do that kind of commentary after the reaction itself

They made this movie while waiting for Tom hanks to lose weight for cast away. What a great break! I think it’s so fun and suspenseful. So hard to tell where it’s going for a while

The "Spiritual sequel" is a piece of shit ave destroys the lore of this amazing film. Not an obscure film, the original had an amazing cast, amazing score, and great story. Deserves alot more praise than it recieved.

I respect their opinions, but this reaction for me epitomises everything wrong with modern-day audiences. Zero attention span... just wanting everything thrown at the screen from the off. The gent in the hat even spoke about how he was unsure of the significance of the last shot of the holy water because when it was mentioned earlier in the film, he was that bored that he doesn't remember what was said.....that says it all really.

It kinda reminds me of predator, which makes since both are John McTiernan movies. Also, I'll say that John McTiernan is probably the best action director.

Billy Cole was a vampire thrall, sometimes they are known as "ghouls". They are given some of the vampires blood to drink, granting them immortality and superiour stamina and strenght, but not completely turned. Because they are not actual vampires, they can move about in the sunlight and usually guard their master while they slumber.

It's more creepy, the legend than that movie. The folk story

We didn't get to see which ending you saw. the best one was the theatrical version where he survives and his wife hears the daughter's voice on his tape recorder, proving that everything he said was true.

I'm Korean. Gonjiam is a copy of Grave Encounters. If I were to recommend good Korean horror movies... I recommend watching A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) and The Wailing (2016).
