As someone who has played gtnh for over 2 years, a lot of people come into this thinking oh yeah I'll beat this in a couple months. And get burned out, you need to totally change your mindset on how you're going to play this pack.

I am currently using the "FTB Academy 1.16" modpack. This is a modpack for beginners, like me, which is my first time playing with mods. I know there are a ton of modpacks, but one day I hope to be able to play "GregTech: New Horizons" without dying trying.

Three! Just wanted to say you were on my most viewed creators list wanted to say thanks for all the vids youve put out absolutely my favorite modded minecraft youtuber

Sure you aren't quite at the point of looking for new packs yet, but you should keep your eye on Meatballcraft. It's an extremely interesting 1.12 pack with a really massive and intricate progression and the questbook is up there with gtnh for me. Theres a lot more exploration and magic than a lot of the recent mods on this channel, but most of the gameplay from chapter 3 onwards especially is still hardcore automation. Don't be put off by it being in beta because the only parts still under development are locked behind 800+ hours of progression

For your backpack magnet, it should have a setting where it'll only pickup what's already inside the backpack or anything specified to the memory slots

GTNH is something else, it literally sits in my mind haunting me urging me to play it. I haven't worked on my world for over a year and its in late HV but I so want to come back to it. The vibes are different in this game.

Not sure if someone mentioned it but the magnet upgrade from sophisticated backpacks seems to teleport the items into the backpack if you dont dislike it try using that one the advanced version not sure if normal does it aswell

theres a way of making kind of a shop system with FTBquests, but its a little weird, but i dont think the team behind Monifactory would be scared of a weird setup to make a shop system

36:18 I would keep the old system. Excess power/benzene will be used sooner or later. Moreover - you always have some basic, self-contained system to bootstrap other systems if something goes wrong.

not to criticize or anything but , move away a little from techy and factory type modpacks, for reference the youtuber to asgaard , is very all rounder when comes to MC mods and modpacks, also builds very detailed and crazy bases, don't wanna say be like him as an insult but be like him :))
