It's not a T31 its under the back seat
First time I changed the cabin filter, I didn't noticed that I opened the workshop manual at the right hand drive part... Even now, 5 years and 4 filters later, this is the part where I get most of my injuries. I'm still never sure if the new filter is put correctly or it gets crooked incide.

How to replace fan belt
Thanks for this video, I've been struggling to get mine off, think this will definitely help. Unsure on how you managed to get the underside bolt undone on the EGR valve (one for the last bolts to undo) any tips on reaching round to get that bolt undone?

You have to move that pipe out the way to get average access to that bottom bolt, it's hard but I managed to get a thin spanner in there and break the bolt, then I found it easier to twist it with my fingers

The AC relay is located inside the box on the board.

How I can clean egr valve
Get some cleaning solution that works well with soot and oil. Use a toothbrush or something to help clean the EGR. Rinse it well with more cleaning solution or some brake cleaner. Remember to use gloves and have good ventilation

Hi, Changed teh EGR valve but still knocking sound - any thoughts? The knocking is louder and faster when acclerated No smoke at exhaust
A few things can cause a knocking sound. I need some more information to give you any useful tips. Is it only when the engine is cold? Are you sure it's coming from the engine? Whats the mileage on the car? If the mileage is high I would definately change the timing chain. That might make a knocking sound because it's getting a bit slack over time.

Very interesting video. I have this car and some panel lights are not working so at night is dark "there". I did remove panel from dashbord and missed the clipses holding this thing. With dissapointmen I decided thats this is it. Unit permanently sealed and put up with darkness or buy new one.. Darkness was much cheaper. After this clip I may have ago again :)
Yes, unfortunately the lights are soldered on to the board. So you need some special equipment or someone to fix it for you, or yes you can buy a new one. Ebay has a few listed: ebay.us/cSji6Z

Sorry for the late reply. If the CEL indicator is dead, your only option is to replace the instrument panel or solder a new diode on the board.
Are the back lights of the gauge surface mounted? Mines a bit dark so i want to know if i can do it myself
Yes it is unfortunately. So it's either soldering new LEDs or buying a new one
Why I don't see this configuration on my T31?
You might have the newer facelift edition or a different engine

Magic, just about to do that to my 2009 T31, has slight vibration at idle so going to try the simple stuff first before digging deeper, already cleaned out turbo solenoid and MAF sensor (car runs much better after that), hoping cleaning out EGR does the trick re vibration, now I know how easy it is to remove it. Thanks for taking the time to do the instructional video.
Happy to help. Hope you get the vibration sorted out! Have the timing chain been changed? I hear it's a good idea after 200k km on the clock. Not sure if it will create any vibration, but you might get some ticking noise. Anyways, good luck to you mate!
@@cygarage timing chain and upgrade kit, sprockets, guides, tensioner crankshaft pulley, all changed 3 years ago. I thinks it lower engine mount or injector 3 causing vibration flow chart showing slight uneven fuel trim on live data. But will clean out EGR first and see if any difference. Cheers.

@@cygarage sorry for the late reply. Thanks for asking! EGR removal and cleaning, cleaning the throttle body, transmission oil change or both diff oil changes would be interesting.
@Pascal Sieger will probably be doing transmission fluid change soon. EGR removal is allready out (not cleaning tho. But that's easy enough with a brush and some carbon cleaner or caustic soda with water)

So i removed cleaned and set back but not helped still i have code p0409-0488 if im correct its egr valve and i should buy new one 🤔
