If Martin Luther had social media during the Protestant Reformation
Переглядів 1492 роки тому
Martin Luther's 95 Theses is arguably the first viral content thanks to its (relatively) fast reproduction and spread through the printing press, a new media technology in 1510s in Europe. This imagination of Luther using social media is a clip from the video "The First Propaganda War: Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation". Yet the Industrial Revolution of the 1800s created a steam-driven press that could produce tens or even hundreds of thousands of copies of a daily newspaper. It was this network of increasingly influential newspaper printers that would, over time, turn against British rule and provide a powerful force for spr...

At 1:00 you ask the question how you can communicate with simple drawings? And then you pretend this isn't possible. In practice, however, it appears that this form of communication, known as logograpsch writing, does not have the problems of using separate letters that are put together on the basis of their sounds. And in practice it appears that those sounds develop, with the result that in English we have words that sound the same but are written differently and words that are written the same but sound different. Letters that are there are not pronounced, while letters that are not there are pronounced. In addition, there is a written national language, but it is pronounced differently by everyone. In the logographic script there has been some abstraction and merging, but it is logical: the drawing for a house shows that it is a hiding place for something very valuable. The drawing that represents tea shows that it is a plant, which part is used and that something has happened to it. Why words sound like this or like that is not logical.

we are in a moment as significant as when the printing press was born, christians freaked out back then as they knew they would lose control of the narrative. Now Bitcoin threatens all their money printing to pay for their wars and their own corporate wealthfare; and they know they will lose control of our privacy (blockchain) so they are freaking out and creating ridicules crisis to justify their current control mechanisms ie CBDC's..
