Hello!!! Im from india ,I've pursed bsc. Anaesthesia and operation theater technology (ug)(3yrs) and rn i gonna do internship for a year. I wanna become CAA. Wanna do my master's in USA. CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOWW THE PROCESS.
It’s no way I could do that job!!! I would be a nervous wreck!!!! Good luck in your career!!!!!🙏☀️🙏
hey im applying next month. how long does it take to get your application review back like if they say yes or no
@@itsmialor you’ll typically either get an interview invitation in a few weeks or they will wait until the very end of the application cycle to send a rejection letter.
do you have any tips on how to get in with a cumulative GPA of 2.52? I still have yet to take the pre requisite courses and GRE/MCAT. My undergrad grades were awful to to a personal hardship during my college years, unfortunately.
@@user-mm1mo9on4p You would likely need to go and complete another Master’s degree with excellent grades to be considered. People often do this for medical school admissions. look into it
You really deserve that high salary because the patient’s life is in your hands!!! 🙏☀️🙏May God bless u abundantly for helping patients!!!
Thank you for making and sharing very inspiring. Hope to change my life to this.
You think this career is better than dentistry? I recently graduated in hopes of getting accepted into dental school, but the debt is way higher and the cost for an associate has been stagnant for years(150-200k). Also dentist do not get paid time off, takes more time to graduate etc
Hi! I am from boston, and there is no CAA schooling here (yet!) I have been looking at NSU and I was wondering what you did for money to move down there because I have money saved, but I’m not sure if I will have enough to be able to move down there and go to school full-time. I’ve heard mixed opinions on working while going to CAA school. Additionally, I wasn’t sure if the clinical rotation was paid and you just need to mainly get through the first year to not work. I’ve heard people live off some loans so that’s an option for me. Super curious to hear your thoughts or any advice you have as I have my bachelors in health sciences and was going to be a CRNA, but I believe the CAA path is my calling!
@@nicoleellie While i did enter the program with savings, I primarily live off my my student loans. In addition to covering tuition, they provide approximately 60k/year directly to your checking account for the purpose of covering your living expenses. in your second year you are not paid, but you can receive your first job’s sign on bonus early. It may range from 2500-3,333 per month. However i did not do this and it’s not something to rely on.
@@jonah.barros thank you so much for this information and advice! I appreciate it so much. I do have savings that I could also heavily rely on but this information is so helpful! Thank you again, and best of luck in school! You got this!
this video was great. I'm a freshman at Barry university and i also plan to become a CAA in the future this motivated me and helped me so much thank you
Can you please guide what's the difference between Anesthesia technologist like I am doing Bachelor in Anaesthesia and CAA.
@@haroonmurtaza2653 A CAA provides direct patient care We administer and manage medications, perform life saving interventions, and perform invasive procedures such as intubation, central venous cannulation, spinals and epidurals and more. Basically CAAs, alongside our attending anesthesiologist, are responsible for keeping our patient alive and pain free throughout the operative time period
@@jonah.barros Ok And of course CAA have more salary. By the way Thanks for your guidance. Can you also make a video on International students who have Bachelors in sciences and how they can pursue in CAA in US
Thank you so much for this video bro, your videos are amazing.
what requirements did you need to get the anesthesia tech job?
@@gradykennedy127 I used my previous experience as a patient transporter and my college degree. otherwise i had no certifications
Hey so I'm becoming an RN and is very interested in NSU CAA program, do you think it would be possible to work while in CAA school?
@@babyygirl6323 It’s possible but I would consider it foolish and also pointless. I would strongly recommend to not work.
I enjoy your channel, because the information is extremely organic. This is what potential CAA students need to see especially a person like me a person of color. People of color are not aggressively being represented in the field of medicine in 2024. Is this by accident who knows right? But seeing someone who look like me taking the time to be successful at CAA is refreshing and rejuvenating. Thank you for such a great channel and great interview
Thnak you for taking the time to show us the insight that potential CAA student will encounter once accepted into the program. But, I will tell you as a emergency room technician for the past 11 years, and had assisted in codes in the trauma room. This is not organized at all, number one the attending or senior resident is running the code and is standing at the head of the pt. And trust me they have no time for anyone acting GOOFY. Why? One slip and risk management will have your behind on a silver platter not even including the patient lawyer. I had witnessed only ONE CODE, were a ICU NURSE who took over a code from a SENIOR RESIDENT because the pt flat line twice. SHE was invoked to take over the code IMMEDIATELY, when she arrived she DECLUTTERED THE ROOM OF USELESS INDIVIDUALS. And proceeded to orchestrate a successful code, that ICU NURSE had ten years of ICU NAVY experience and that was in 2006. When you get a chance in medicine to stand next to and witness individuals who actually care and know what he/she is doing. Trust me! No amount of education can surpass that because REAL CLASS IS IN SESSION WHEN THAT MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL IS IN YOUR PRESENCE. In addition the person who is taking the notes of every drug, time and amount given to the pt, is suppose be right by the bedside. Not behind the crash cart, because he/she is writing is a LEGAL DOCUMENT. In the midst of chaos the provider running the code can forget what he/she conjure to be given within the ACLS protocol and will ask you "HEY WHAT WAS GIVEN LAST?" and if your note taking is crappy you can contribute to the demise of the pt. When a code happens vitals signs, glucose check and ekg must be done. Guys you need to practice some more but thank you again for sharing.
Really got interested in this program and field in healthcare however I'm an international grad outside of the US. I wonder if there is still a chance for aspiring CAAs like me 😢
Thanks for this brother
Do you have opinions on this versus med school? Actually I am a current DO student. But first year. Looking at the all the years ahead and knowing I like procedures and anesthesia… this looks like a great option.
@@deaddogcomedy I was previously considering medical school before i started AA school. 0 regrets. I have another video on my channel that further explains my rationale

Hii I'm studying Bachelors in health science online (University of the People) and want to pursue as an anesthesiologist assistant or respiratory therapist after completing my bachelor. Is it possible? if yes then where can I apply for it? I'm living in Saudi Arabia now ( I am not Saudi citizen)
Hey I’m currently in undergrad however I’m only looking to apply to two schools is that possible?
@@dianamolina614 of course it’s possible. Unless you’re very competitive, I would recommend applying to more
As a junior in highschool with a 4.4 gpa and semi high ACT (32) what specific colleges have good programs that would prepare me well for getting into AA school and getting a good score on the MCAT or GRE
@@graysonrossiter7620 I went with the traditional premed approach of bio major. There’s nothing wrong with this if you get competitive grades and don’t plan on taking much of a gap. While you’re still in HS you should look into EMT, MA, or CNA certifications. For college, you can go for a bachelor’s of science in STEM, or you could consider a BSRT or a BSN.
I’m a junior in high school with a 4.4 weighted gpa and 32 ACT, I’m taking quite an interest into becoming a CAA. Since I’ve made this decision before graduating what specific major or program would you recommend I take?
Great content and very informative, as usual. Thank you!

Looks like a bunch of artifact but maybe the magnet from the mri somehow causes that? Not really sure tbh
Hi Jonah, I was wondering how many shadowing hours you had, and how many hours of shadowing would you recommend to make yourself stand out?
@@dylanquach4078 I shadowed for 2x 8hr days. I also had plenty additional anesthesia exposure in my 10 months as an anesthesia tech. shadowing can often have diminishing returns after a certain point and clinical work experience might be more valuable after a few days of shadowing
CAA here! I graduated literally last year. You're doing amazing! Would love to throw hands with you if you ever end up in the peach state, too! Keep that shit up! 💪
Do CAAs make more money with more years of experience?
@@hipchocolatechip9339 Yes, typically they receive a higher base salary and extra PTO with experience or seniority. However CAAs expand their income primarily by working overtime or doing additional 1099 work.
