Love this video 😊 thank you for answering questions and clearly explaining things. I relate 100% on rushing everything and feel like I want to be in AA school already but this video gave me some chill so thank you! I am moving towards my goal and the time will come where I will be an CAA.
Great content and very informative, as usual. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the video Jonah, your videos have been super helpful.
You're very welcome!
Thank you so much for this video bro, your videos are amazing.
So what were your grades like? You mentioned that this was like a base requirement to get in front of your admissions team. I really struggled in O Chem and my grade is reflective of that. I’m sitting at around a 3.1 and thinking about applying this cycle. I have some prerequisites to complete should I wait ?
I had a 3.88. This seems to be typical for NSU's latest cohort
A 3.1 is not competitive for NSU. You will need strong healthcare experience to be considered and you may have to take the post bac or pre aa program (and apply more than one cycle) to get in. There's a lot of small ways to give yourself a boost and you'll need to do them
However, some schools are less competitive, especially the ones that have started recently in the last few years. It could still be worth applying this cycle.
You could try retaking the pre-reqs that you struggled in and utilize tutors to help you out. It’s not uncommon to retake classes. Some have retaken chem until they’ve achieved an A for the sake of having a competitive GPA. Chem really is difficult overall so don’t feel down. You got this. If this is what you truly want as a career, you’ll do what it take to get there 💪🏻 😊
How do you take pre requisites ?
Why Nova over Emory? thank you for all the info in your videos
What are your thoughts on CRNAs push back on CAAs? Will CAAs expand to the remaining states?
What sets CAAs apart from CRNAs in the market?
There's a lot to unpack. I'll make a video for this but CAAs are expanding and I'm not worried about my job security.
The battle is really between the CRNAs (AANA) and The MD/DO (ASA). The doctors prefer working with CAAs because we are not reaching for independent practice and support the anesthesia care model.
Hello!!! Im from india ,I've pursed bsc. Anaesthesia and operation theater technology (ug)(3yrs) and rn i gonna do internship for a year. I wanna become CAA. Wanna do my master's in USA. CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOWW THE PROCESS.
What types of clinical experience in your opinion would make you seem like a good candidate for CAA admissions? EMT? Pharm tech? Also, would you say that the CAA profession is expanding and will be in demand in the next 10 years?
Most clinical experience is good as long as you have learned a lot and took away valuable info. I was an anesthesia tech. Definitely expanding. New states being added and hospitals getting bigger.
An anesthetic aide or anesthesia assistant would likely be well prepared for this role. Same thing as anesthesia tech
With all the baby boomers reaching their 60’s we will only being seeing a demand go up for all medical providers
Credentialed providers (RT, RN, Paramedic) are the most valued, followed by the jobs you'll get with certifications such as CNA, EMT-B, MA, followed by uncertified healthcare jobs. Anesthesia tech is also seen as very strong experience. However, all of these should be sufficient experience.
how did you study for undergrad? I know you didn't study for groups, and I feel like i cant concentrate being in one
Please!^
Do you wish you went to medical school?
@@Kencan254 Nope!
If i want to go back for a Phd, MD, or other advanced degree in the future the door is always still open in the future.
I may do that if i want to transition to leadership or academic roles but in terms of doing it just for the money you would make almost just as much doing locums and overtime as an AA
Heyy, How do you do pre requiste courses ?
@@elakiyasinfinity Get a bachelors degree in any subject and take the same life sciences courses that are required by medical schools. Each AA program has different prerequisites and they change from year to year, so double check each program’s website
@@jonah.barros so I'm from India can we do life science courses online and submit certificate ?
@@elakiyasinfinity no
Hello Jonah
Do you think CAA will have a lot of jobs in the future ? Im worried if i do the two year course and not have a job in the future plz get back to me thanks
And btw do you ever see CAA ever not having a job in the future or are they in demand and are going to continue to be in super demand for the next 20-30 years thanks
And last question bro how much student loans would u use by going to CAA school
@@Alex-bh7dq Debt will be around 100k-200k depending on how much you choose to spend on your lifestyle and there will always be plenty of jobs
@@jonah.barros would it take about a year or two to pay back those loans or does it depend on how much ot u do
I heard jobs have sign on bonuses , can’t we use that for paying back loans
@@Alex-bh7dq It’s personal preference. You could pay it back in less than one year or Over ten years. It’s simply depends on your priorities. There’s pros and cons to both approaches.
Thank you so much for your videos jonah....! Can you please tell some about for international students those who want to apply for this AA program like affordable fees, acceptance , jobs, living expenses ? i have more questions for clarification as a international student can i have your email id or any social media id
