This is a video on the procedure necessary to program the keyless entry Fobs on a 1999 Toyota 4Runner Limited. Should work for other years as well.

We love you yota guy🫶
So I’m trying to program 3 fobs and every time I do it, only one will work, its like it disables the other ones??? Also my rear window button is not working??
Pretty gay music you can pretty much not get this sequence correct with that stupid music. Why don’t you talk this is a lame video.
?
Why can you say it with words 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
It worked with a copied key Thanks.
Working for me, but the rear mirror is not Working
Puedo copiar el chip de otra llave que no sea la del chip original (osea de otra copia?
Just a minute here.. I just saw this same video on someone else channel...

@@gregmonchak8423 - did they steal it?
@@gregmonchak8423 - and thanks, your video was very helpful, got my new remotes programmed...
Any help if it dont work
Can you do this on an SR5 model of the same year?
Yes. Exactly the same.
So... one lesson I've learned from a friend that should be corrected on these videos is that you do not need to use the electronic door lock switch to cycle the locks into learn mode. Many of these 20+ year old actuators get hung up and then it doesn't work. Instead, it's much more efficient to use the manual lock by pushing it down and then pulling it back up. Had any of these videos noted that, I would've been able to have working keyless entry remotes for my Toyota years ago.
Do you only have to do it on the drivers door?
I can get it to work maybe one in 10 times if i pull the lock with my hand AND press the electronic button...still can't get the key to program though
do it from the outside with the key
I can't get this to work to save my life. It is like it won't go into programming mode at all
Did you ever figure it out? I’m in the same situation
if ever try manually doing the sequence from outside with the key through the door... worked with me
does this work on a 1999 Toyota Landcruiser (100series)???
Because I lost the keys and I need news
Can you program a key without the original radio
Didnt work for my 99 4runner....
worked
Also, what about rear window button? With this process, will it be programmed as well, automatically?
Yes.if it is the correct remote fob for your vehicle, it all will work. The part number and FCC number on fob are very important.
Thank you!
Where did you get new fob? Toyota dealer? Factory?
eBay
Do I have to have the master key? Because I only have the valet key
I'd like to know as well.
Door unlock works doorlockdoesnotdoesnotwork?
Any chance you know how to program the remote key fob and/or which part numbers will work on which Toyotas? 1999 Sienna in particular. Thanks, Rich
Excellent, thanks!
Works for Prado 90 series
first off great vid!!! now my question? I have an 00 limited with the original chipped key ziptied under the dash inside the original ignition ring plugged into the truck/ECU? (bought the truck and stumbled onto this) pulled it out and that key goes into the ignition but wont turn it.. I'm guessing new ignition and they bypassed the smart key.. now can I put the ignition ring back on and buy a blank chipped key and program it using the old chipped key? seeing it doesnt have to turn when programming? or is the ignition itself wired to part of the ecu? I know there is to plugs on the ignition ring one for 12v to light up the ring and one for security. right now I have the new ring plugged in for light only the old one is under the dash plugged into the security with original key wired to it.. it's a mess I want to clean up... thanks for any info
Did it previously have a fob and your replacing? Or it works even when you car never did have a fob?
Previosly had fob that was broken. Replaced with new fobs. If vehicle has ability to have remote fobs, then this will work. You do not need have an original one.
Straight forward! Thanks, everybody for watching.
Thanks for the video, I just did it on my 1999 Echo and it worked great!
Great. Glad it helped.
It works perfectly ignore these other two comments. You start with the door open for EVERYTHING and in between the lock cycles you close it and open it. Not rocket science.
thanks for the video today I install new switch cylinder and myself program the key with transponder in my 4runner 99 limited
Hi How did you program your new key? Did you program it yourself?
thanks to this video I programmed my new switch cylinder lock with two keys wwith transponder
Lalo Did you brought the key inigtion cilinder? And put it on
Not working for me
He says to start with door open, insert key, remove key, then do the power cycle 5 times but in the video the door is closed when he does the cycle. Watch carefully around 23 seconds just before he starts the cycle.... he closes the door. you can hear it close. Then; at 36 sec he says to close and open door which you cannot do now. (because the door is still closed but it's open in the video and he shuts the door. (wtf right??) ) So this procedure is messed up. I can def see him close the door at 23 /24 seconds before starting the 5 lock/unlock cycle. !! But I've tried it both ways; twice and I can't get it to work.
Did you install new switch cylinder ignition?
Would this be the procedure for a 2000 Camry?
From what I just saw online, I believe it is.
@@gregmonchak8423 Thank you. My key will be here tomorrow, Ill give it a try.
Thanks Greg. I guess this system was invented by some guy with OCD. LOL.
Joe Primal 😂😂😂
Do i have to cut the new key first? What if it doesn't work?
Yes, key must be cut first. Check key first to make sure turns lock cylinder before beginning programming sequence.
Here is the problem, i have only 1 key and it's not the original ( master key ) but a copy. Now problem 2. It broke, leaving half key in. I need to buy maybe 2 keys but now the 1 key i had is broken. Will it still work with only a 1 inch going in the ignition once removal of the rest of key?
No, you will have to take a trip to dealership if you can get that key fragment out without damaging cylinder tumblers, they can order a pre-cut master key that should be pre-programmed (depends of your ECM serial) to work. From there you can now go get some cheap keys like these and make some copies from that new master. Good luck.
