I was there! It's literally the highlight of my summer, hearing this unlikely and totally awesome mash up! I clearly remember looking at my friend with an amazed yet questioning look, silently asking, "do you hear what I hear? But that's the lyrics to ... Dark Star?! Whaaat?!" Blew my mind! 😂🤯 What a fun night. The Deer Creek fans go HARD! ❤
Out of tune.
Her grave stone is still visible at Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon.
This was the peak of Dead & co
No
Great show. I was unaware Santa was in the first row!
Beautiful version, Rick's vocals not as moving as Jerry's on American Beauty recording but hey, that was a half century ago and Jerry was very young and fresh then. Am certain Garcia would have loved this Brokedown Palace, has so much of the spirt of the original, my favorite Dead song. Went to many Dead concerts but sadly never heard them do the song. Wish I could hear Rick & Co do the tune
Love it all my life
Goodbye Phil
Fare thee well, Phil! 😍
Fare you well
RIP PHIL
I come back to this gem at least once a week, seen Dead and Co more times than i can count, but this one here is Brilliant!!!! ❤ it
I've been listening to the Grateful Dead virtually daily since 1978. I think Dead and Company suck so I never gave Phil and Friends a chance ..... But Woww!!!! Their music is fantastic!!!! (Their singing sucks but the music is great)
RIP James Casey 🙏🙏
Nice…big fan ! Thanks
IWT on the rail in front of Marco n Tommy 😊
If I only listened to this version of Big River I would think this was a much younger Bob singing.
Face blown off 1:35 pm 6/23/24
Sadly I didn't get to see the grateful dead with Jerry, but I was present for this craziness and for that I'm grateful
Love from Patti Cornell
Sending love to you all from Patti Cornell

Love this jam !!! 🌈☮️🌈
Thanks.x
Just heard this for the first time. Wild, brilliant and fun. ❤️
Back in '24 and IT SOUNDS JUST AS GREAT!!! lol
Faboulous cover of my prefer ABB's piece...👍👍
this show was by far the best of the twelve Dead Co shows we saw on Summer '23 tour. and wow this was something I've never heard in 30 years of following the Dead it was an amazing, mind bending show. in the spinner pit where we were dancing sh** was bananas. & can I just mention once again how amazing Jeff Chimenti can be when he goes off?
The beginning of this song gives me chills every time I hear it!! Masterpiece!! I always say this stuff will be talked about like the great composers everyone heard about today!!
Phil keeps the GD ethos of reinventing the music. D&C have attracted some that appear to be heads just to capitalize on the $$. When I see stealies on designer clothes it makes me cringe. I was first attracted to the Scene. One that was the antidote to normal society. The anarchist road imo. We didn't relate to society nor all its trappings. Shortly after the music grabbed my soul. Sometimes it feels that sense of adventure and misbehaving is almost gone. But not totally. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that the music is still alive!!!
Stole those faces at Fenway park too
Allman bros. just brutal sound
I can't believe that I Missed this in PA. Are You coming back to PA? New Here sorry.
Meh
Telling us all....emphasis on 'im gonna sit right here until i die'!!! 💯
Probably my favorite concert I have ever been to. Grateful. Thank you uploading this.
We don’t believe you
I was at this show. So glad I was there!
Excuse me sir, but who or what the hell is Owsley? 🥸
I have a hard time listening to this on a bunch of fenders thru pedals, unlike the Allam Bros
Early seventies, Duane had died. The band played on, Paramount Northwest Seattle, WA. Great show!
This is righteous.
Awesome version, but needs two drummers.
I'm thinking both Duane and Greg are both grooving really hard right now
One word: WOW!
Bobby is the greatest.
drove out to Indiana from Pittsburgh for this show. didn't buy my ticket til I was in my hotel room. Pittsburgh was the best show overall of my tour, but Deer Creek and Cincinnati first sets were the best 4 set ever and I want the PRESSING
I still want a vinyl pressing from this show!!!!
Absolutely beautiful
Genialer Schlagzeuger
