This was the shortest and most helpful video I have ever watched when it came to throwing a backhand. This guy knows what he talking about.
Time to bust out that 720...
Throw 10* anhyzer
I like Tristan. He's likeable and doesn't take 15 minutes to tell you something that takes a minute 40!
You got this. Let's go
disc golfers vs dog walkers would of been a great clickbait title lol
In your opinion, is the Tech Disc beneficial to use to help improve one's throwing skills?
If you put speed training into your weekly training routine you will eventually have a 80mph stock shot. In ballgolf speed training they say they start to hit their top numbers around 40 full smash shots. They do 30 minute warm ups and then smash for 30 minutes. 20-30 seconds between the shots.
I’ve done this before. It’s how I got to the speed I can get now!
So close
Nose angle is amazing considering the pace you put on the shots, what is your cue for nose angle? Are you pouring coffee or are you turning the key or what do you got fo us?😎
I think it’s a combo of low reachback and point the nose down with my wrist. Just my natural shot. I honestly have to try to throw nose up most of the time bc my angle is too far down
To nerd out a little about technical stuff: Tristan like many pros "skew" the swingplane downward slightly at release because their followthrough is roughly level but they swing from a slightly lower reachback. You can get there as well by simply being concious of "angle integrity" as told by Nate Sexton in this old classic 2015 clinic ironically titled "Paul McBeth tips" ua-cam.com/video/U0gzNIRxRbY/v-deo.html - While the concept of "angle integrity" may suggest this to be an error intentional nose down is mostly beneficial since it "pays" for the loss of initial lift by also cutting through the air quite well due to delaying the swirling of air in under the flightplate by keeping speed high and angle low at the start.
Nose angle consistency might be more impressive mm
I’m sorry, but hole fives basket placement is easily the worst place you could put a basket😂 like I mean I love the OB death putt and all, but more then a few cars have had to been hit by incoming discs on that hole. If there wasn’t a public roadway there, this is a 5/5 hole design.
On the list for sure!
Arizonan's aren't human. I hope you two make it out of there safely.
Does every disc golf player turn their initials into a brand logo? Is there like some type of marketing/branding person that is working with all of these people? Or did they come up with this bad idea individually, all by themselves. Lamesauce
You are right, your logo and brand looks way better!
T-Double, you just helped double my distance…literally. Went out, did this, and doubled my distance. Threw a field 400!! Thanks my man!
Awesome to hear man, that's what I'm here for!
Fun to watch you guys play same courses I play. To anyone who lives in Arizona, I definitely recommend private lessons with Tristan. Rare to get coaching from a top pro player. 🥏
Second
Look on the bright side! Not done yet=more content :D
Subbed
utilize off arm more? you can do it!
Working on it!
Do you notice if you use shoulder protraction on throwing arm? I've been seeing a lot of videos of that to give space and allow arm to get through without body colllapsing
loving ya'll green-side manner
Great channel great vid T, keep up the great content lads :D
Thanks, we appreciate it!
You got this!! What’s the fasts non-360 that you know of?
I think eagle threw like 86 a few years ago at beaver state fling. Nuts
On day 7 try a 720
Hopefully I don't make it to day 7 but if so, I will!
Looking good
Thanks 👍
For sure tomorrow!
Great video quality, nice watch!
Thanks for watching!
Great video, I like you guys playing different courses. But regardless I will still watch cause you guys are awesome.
Glad you like the series, we're having fun with it!
how have you not cleaned your camera lens yet? or is there damage to the lens? i see spots on the screen in your videos
It not the lens its actually the sensor and I haven't had the chance to get it professionally cleaned...
Those were white ducks…. Not geese gentlemen. 😂
We were being optimistic
your trail leg isn't swinging around -- it's a better buttwipe
*warning* unsolicited advice incoming: It's wierd saying this to you Tristan but I always preferred seeing your calm and measured form on the course basically one-stepping fullpower drives. This "new chapter" in your form certainly holds potential but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that one of the best throwers in the world who is a frequent co-creator is NOT necessarily a good technical influence. I love Ezra's game including his overall form but he has a shallow/early powerpocket that he powers through anyway because he has the strength for it (and a hard enough brace), for most people even 99% of pro's I think throwers such as GG and Wiggins are better examples when it comes to the depth & violence of the weightshift + the pull it triggers and catching the disc deeper into the pocket in the transition from pull to swing and that "pull" is something I'm not really seeing in your throws here, kind of like you kept that part of your slow measured one-step form. I'm looking forward to seeing your 360 where none of those points will matter. (footnote to anyone triggered by this: Yes I AM a nobody compared to Tristan and all the others I mentioned, doesn't mean I'm wrong though :D )
Ezra and I have very different form and I am not trying to change to his form or influenced by it. The big “pull” is something I am trying to not do anymore bc it is caused by early reachback timing. I have no problem generating power. Just need to improve consistency!
@@tristan_tanner13 awesome to see your reply. The title of your video kind of sends us in the opposite direction from "consistency" though =) This would be the time of year when some olympic athletes spend hundreds of hours experimenting with their form so I kind of thought that was your goal, especially since you seem to go at it with more linear speed in your runup. Your reference to the reachback timing did spark somewhat of an overlooked lightbulb moment for me though in the sense that you are different from most players and so is your technical model (torso-hip "sync" when reaching back rather than counterrotating, if I saw this in a new player I would strongly advise against it but I think we can safely say you have done "ok" with it :D. Though if I allow myself to speculate further I think it is probably the main reason for your preference of a slow walkup on the course). *here follows more unsolicited stuff primarily directed at "hitting 80" and not future consistency* Looking at your form videos from 4 years ago with the slow walkup the main source of power seemed to come from posturing against/rotating away from the centrifugal force of the swing in a way you're not quite timing in your current techdisc throws with the faster linear runup. I primarily blame the "softer" brace, compared to other players it's not really "soft" but given the unusually high reliance on "the centrifuge" it's inability to stop your torso from sliding forward after a linear runup shows. Another possible cause is swinging the disc closer to the body thus delaying the hit of that centrifuge as well as compromising its power (this "line" of disctravel is a lot more "conventional" but one of the reasons it has become so is the presence of a "pull" from reachback for most players). I'd be interested to see your numbers if you tried to simply do a slower walkup with more of a widerail style "reachout", basically your "good old style" :D.. if the numbers are about even I'd say the solution should be to focus on a harder brace (dropping hip/knee, managing back leg orientation so it functions as a counterweight midswing instead of after release).
Fountain hills is a great course. Favorite course in that area. Goosepoop reclaimed the 🪿 💩 disc, thats the circle of geese lyfe!
Oh man that’s the life
You guys should do a doubles match. You two vs Ricky and AB! Also glad y'all are doing these they are a lot of fun to watch.
Uli probably in town....

Wilderness Ranch!
On the list?
Yes! Or somewhere up in Flag. 👍🏽
Good series, I was praying for Ezra to slip and get goose poop on his nice white yoga pants. Maybe next week.
Haha me too now
A+++ edit and vibes! Love this series!
Appreciate the love!
We ever gonna see you two play sarah ann in the west valley?
Maybe next Sunday😉
That was a white pelican. Wingspan 110 inches!
Woah
This looks like from last year. I know Ezra Aderhold had a putt between those Royal Palms
More courses would be cool if possible. 🤷♂️ If not I’ll still watch for the banter and great edits like the skater “follow flight” was top class 😂
Glad you enjoyed the edits. More to come!
The ducks in the water look like Gadwalls. The white ones on the bank are domesticated
For sure
you guys are some stylish mofos
😎
From straight on Tanner looks like Isaac Robinson 😅
I get this a lot
