Nurse cheese is valid sometimes, and I’ll convince you why. The UA-camr Gungnir does challenge videos not necessarily based around no hits or boss rush or any of that stuff, no bases instead around “Is beating Terraria with X condition possible?” In one of his videos, I think his “beat terraria with a sand gun” video, he discovers that the nurse heals moon bite. This is vital to the run as it prevents Moon Lord from healing, which would otherwise nullify the damage that the sand gun could do. In this case the nurse cheese was not used to keep the player alive, but instead used to keep the boss more dead. Using the nurse in this way, to make a challenge with an otherwise impossible weapon possible, is a creative use of Terraria’s mechanics to circumvent a difficult problem. In this, Gungnir demonstrated ingenuity, not a lack of skill, by discovering a method he could use to overcome a hurdle. So in essence, there are rare instances where the nurse cheese is acceptable in my mind, but they must be used in ways that enhance the challenge rather then detract from it. Gungnir has only done this one other time, despite being pushed to fight ML in dozens of challenging ways, so no one is doubting his skill. Thats my two cents, I’d probably have gone neutral there, as Yardis is right that it usually is contrary to the point of a challenge video, but when the player skill isn’t necessarily the challenge, there might be more leeway.

just a suggestion, you can add lava at the bottom of the farm to prevent other mobs spawning there such as the skeleton archers

Shame you didn't do this before the rusty beacon got nerfed to all hell, but it's still viable which is funny.

You can summon the bosses of the evil biomes with vile mushroom or vicius mushroom and the material dropped by the mobs of each biome

Farm worked great as a hallowed farm until I placed NPCs next to the AFK spot to let me use a pylon, and now the only thing that spawns in the trap is crystal critters ETA: I did not know what "nullifies the positive effects of NPCs" meant, so I had not placed a shadow candle. User Error.

I swapped to a granite pad and standing blocks and put npcs down there at the same time, and I don't know if the granite helped, but I got a lot of gem critters before I put down a shadow candle

I'm kinda disappointed that you didn't make the Arcanum instead. That thing is absolutely monstrous, incomparably better than the nebula blaze imo.

For the true melee conundrum, i wish there was an artifact that increased your damage the closer you are to your target, incentivizing using melee weapons at melee range

As a summoner main, I play summoner everytime. I have not beat anything post-mech bosses with summoner. I ALWAYS have to switch to melee to do any damage. (Can’t really say anything about magic or ranged since I’ve never used them but in my first run my brother chose magic and joined me in the melee class to beat post-golem.)

The patience and determination to go through 171 attempts on the DoG while having to manually farm for every potion is something I don't even think I could do. I need to play without alchemist npc lite for my next no-hit-only calamity infernum run. Make each fight that much more important and give some time to think in between rather than spamming fights while tilted

That whole melee argument is dumb By the time you get into hard mode, hell even just the wall, most bosses will do way more damage than you can tank by touching them. The only reason most melee weapons are viable is because of that short range projectile most have, but that doesn't make them ranged weapons because those projectiles don't deal the full damage of the weapon. Plus they're pretty slow, sometimes are difficult to aim, and not all will pierce through enemies or boss parts. I don't hear any arguments about how mage is just ranged magic, or summoner is also ranger but with extra steps. If you want to be able to dodge attacks while dealing damage, you're going to have to have some amount of ranged attacks yourself no matter the class.

I'll be honest, I don't really see why the nurse even exists if it isn't to heal you during boss fights. I have literally never used her CORE MECHANIC once outside of a boss fight. I don't think it's really cheese if it's intentional game design.

The base design of terraria allows you to conpletely switch your playstyle completely whenever. So realistically, if you wanted to have more range than a true melee class, you can switch to ranged/magic. But those have costs to, yknow? Melee is good rn, but there's nothing wrong with remaking it into a true melee class.

First question I strongly dissagree I would dig out of the map the only reason why I would ever want to play melee would be the sick weapons (murasama in calamity overhaul is my fave but also the terrablade is iconic) Edit I exclusively play mage cause I am a lover of magic in games the only time I have not done mage recently is my current thorium calamity healer playthrough (with unofficial healer and Bard and ragnorock)

Events I would get an omega core and switch sides constantly 9 goblin armys before wall make them just a pain but the tinkerer and some good events make them a good thing the thing I hate is the bullshit of them happening multiple times at random

Learning to no hit lunatic cultist and golem made them SO much harder, When I started my own personal challenge they took me longer than learning bosses that I had previously struggled with like provinince or yharon Your struggles seemed super similar but with weaker gear

Do the Mourning Wood, Pumpking, Everscream, Santa NK-1, and Ice Queen not count as bosses? I admit they don't quite feel the same as normal bosses when you get to them, but they are included in boss lists, and have relic and trophy drops. Even so, incredible run! Looks like it was a ton of work.
