Something I hadn't seen you do in your series that I found helpful was buy iron anvils from the merchant. Since money is not really an issue in shimmer block, a large amount can be bought, and each anvil decrafts into 5 iron bars. This then decrafts into 5 iron ore, which allows you to get tin, copper, stone, and dirt rather easily.
Also, I found out that you can shimmer dynasty wood into regular wood, so if a traveling merchant with dynasty wood shows up, then buying a bunch of that and shimmering it allows for easy wood

Downloaded the map, it is a load of fun. Just managed Eye of Cthulu last night, so the Dryad's finally here.
Felt the mediumcore restriction a tad too grindy to be fun, so I started a character with a small bit of dirt, acorns, and a couple grass seeds. Seeing the world grow from nothing is adding new life to a long favorite, much appreciated!
