Why no oil on push rod tube orings?

The oil pump you took out has already the 2020 oil pump with the rear seal. Why would it need to be upgraded? I was told by Harley that if it has the seal it’s the newest pump ..

This is nonsense. Injected motorcycle, has O2 narrow, has MAF and many more sensors to make 14.5 or 14.7 AFR on the fly in any given rpm using fuel trims short and long. Bike knows always what you changed. Especially when we ride in different conditions, high altitude, low.

He should have a chart on TORQUES for what fastener. he spends forever looking up Torque specs. & He needs to learn to use a adjustable screw gun wasting time here...

IMHO opinion, fuck warranty. Got a 24 cvo st and as soon as a stand alone ecm is ready, my bike is getting the works. Warranties are for people who are scared.

You never ever use the stock push rods with a new build spend the money & get adjustable, you will be sorry all it takes is 0.030 difference with a valve stem Protrusion, or a thinner gaskets your fucked , valve will hang open ! i lost count of how many dealership i have to fix it fucking Ridiculous

if you aren't going to upgrade passed a stage 1 and have a Dyno tune. Do you still need a tuner?

I've yet to tear into my bike far enough to require a torque spec book. However, I do have a couple of questions. Why are the specs "variable" and why is the gap between the numbers SO wide ? Thank you in advance for a reasonable explanation. ~ Bear

it's a beauty. my first hd was a 1980 blue electra-glide with the comfort flex seat. if i had the money i would get one of these.

The whole reason to torque head bolts os to have it tightened precisely flat and even. That 90 degree bs totally defeats the purpose. I know it's Harley's "specs" but to me it seems inconsistent.

By now Harley should be installing breather head bolts into a catch can to prevent a whole bunch of carbon and caked on oil on the tops of the pistons, Other than that, great job!! But, I understand that Harley is beholden to big government EPA who thinks they know better.

In process of doing a 124. If you do not apply heat to the lifter guide bolts, there is a very high probability they will break. Ask me how I know. They feel like they are coming out fine up until the point they snap. Also had a lower rocker bolt break. There is way too much loctite on many of the fasteners. Little O

Regarding the plastic lifter cuffs: If Harley say's it works it's gonna work... Harley knows that the average bike owner only puts 3000 miles a year on a bike, and so they are confident it will work for the 6000 projected miles before the warranty is done. They then sell you another plastic part that will work within the same time frame. Spend the extra money and get better than just what Harley says will work for longevity and better performance. Harley also says in the service manual that it is acceptable for a V-Twin to blow up to a quart of oil into the intake out of the breather bolts every 1500 miles... Harley says....

good video Chris but a couple things get them dam wires zip tied that horn wire is a pain i didn't see you check the oil squinters most i have done have been loose. And you don't oil the cylinders or rings before install. Great video for people that don't no how these work
