What do I need to change in the firmware generator page for a 4.2.7 board. I've posted and looked all over, but I can't find any information like the clock reference, the usb vendor ID, the usb device ID, or the GPIO pins
my terminal doesn't open
I have just tried this on my ender 3 with btt skr mini e3 v2, when i install the firmware.bin the sonicpad creates, it installs, as changes to firmware.cur but the sonicpar can no longer connect to the printer on the usb. Tried several !PA14 is set but nothing, i put marlin back on Amd works fin and usb connects as expected, any ideas please as i am now stuck!

I got same issue pal, usb is fine when on marking sonic pad sees it, as soon as I install klipper usb is dead and sonic pad can't talk to it, did you get yours going at all?
Is it possible to get the SonicPad to communicate with a printer with a CRtouch installed that didn't come with it by default (in my case a CR10V2)?
Great question, you most definitely can! In the printer.cfg you just want to make sure that the bltouch is enabled and that in [stepper_z] you have endstop_pin: probe:z_virtual_endstop [bltouch] sensor_pin: ^PD3 control_pin: PB5 x_offset: -30.7 y_offset: -40.2 probe_with_touch_mode: true stow_on_each_sample: true pin_move_time: 0.4 pin_up_touch_mode_reports_triggered: False speed: 20 lift_speed: 5 samples: 4 sample_retract_dist: 8 samples_tolerance_retries: 4 [stepper_z] step_pin: PB3 dir_pin: PB2 enable_pin: !PA5 step_distance: .0025 endstop_pin: probe:z_virtual_endstop position_min: -2 position_max: 250 You just have to tune the settings, like the offsets, but these are examples on what it would look like in your printer.cfg (I have the ender 3 v2)

@@LittleLoudPrints Does all of that code need to be included? Or just the first line "[stepper_z] you have endstop_pin: probe:z_virtual_endstop". In my config file it just said to uncomment "position_min: -4 endstop_pin: probe:z_virtual_endstop" if I have a Bltouch/crtouch as iirc the way the code works the printers makes no delineation between a bltouch or crtouch and the code would work the same.
The bltouch section and stepper z section do have to be included in the printer cfg, but the values might differ slightly depending. The pins should be the same. I have a Crtouch as well. definitely make sure position_min and are not commented as well as that position_endstop in [stepper_z] IS commented, #position_endstop. Because the Crtouch will not need that. The printer cfg doesn’t need the Crtouch specified, bltouch in the cfg will still work with it
Thanks for the video, but I want to ask something. I have done everything, I have inserted the sod card with the bin file to the skr 3 v3 but when I try to add the printer from Sonic pad it can’t find the printer.cfg file. Any help?

Did your printer flash the firmware without any problems? My Ender 3 Pro is stuck on the flash screen and there is nothing about klipper in the serial ID. Do you have any other experiences?
@tristanhein3744 no I don't have a lot of experience really as this is also my first time working with klipper. By "stuck on flashing screen", do you mean the LCD screen is blank? This is intended because when you flash firmware for the Sonic Pad the printer doesn't use that screen anymore but only the Sonic Pad.
yes i know, its blank. But how do i know that the Klipper firmware ist succesfully flash on my printer. Im stuck to the point where i emailed myself the .bin file and flash the printer. @@JulianGaming007
I have been searching everywhere on the internet for months and asking for help, but finally found this video, very helpful and has given me the courage to go again. I have an ender6 with BL touch and want to use the Sonic Pad, but it doesn't work properly because BL touch no longer responds, probably needs adjusting the printer.cfg, your video has given me a direction to continue my search, thanks!!

I have a cr6se with a bigtreetech cr6 mainboard and Pheatus Dragon standard flow hotend with orbiter v1.5 extruder. I would love to get this working with no issues. Does anyone know how to get it in that machine? Thanks in advance.

Hello, may I ask you? I don´t see processor STM32Gxxxx I have visible only STM32F a H? Where will be problem?
You need to compile the firmware for that processor yourself because Creality Sonic Pad uses outdated Klipper software and doesnt recognize a lot of the newer processors. That's literally what this tutorial is for.
For all of yuo that font understad , i sugest to read the Klipper Manual , its very good and after reading yuo gone see that its not so complicated , good luck😊

Greetings, Well Done and again thank you for your efforts. One item though, you did not cover the Self-Test features for Z-Offset, Bed Leveling or the Bed Mesh. It would be nice to see how you did them with the sonic pad or how to successful use the Klipper UI to run the commands for those features. Once again thanks well done. Doc'

The board flashed perfect and after some mix and match effort with building a printer.cfg file, BTT pin out configurations, I was able to get the Sonic Pad and the SKR board to work. I do have an issue with the Self-Test feature of the Sonic Pad. Hello, is there a possibility to compile Sonic Pad for Prusa MK3s+ on the Atmega2560 processor? I've been struggling with this for several days, but unfortunately, after uploading the firmware, the Prusa hangs even though the slicer shows that the upgrade was successful. Did you find a solution? I am at the same point with my MKS gen V1.4 mainboard using a Atmega2560 processor.

I too did not find the little GREEN Code button to download with until I resized the Firefox window by moving it and then resizing it in the Ubunut window. After figuring that out it went well. I hope that was some help. Doc'

@@troybelanger5049 with the browser open I clicked on the right side of the title bar and pulled it down and to the left a little so I could see the top left corner of the browser. I then clicked the corner to get the diagonal arrows and re-sized the window to make it smaller. I then moved it to the left almost all the way and exposed the right hand side of the browser. I then clicked on the right hand side of the window and extended back to the right until it showed the green button. It took some practice but I was successful getting to the green code button. After clicking it I needed to move the window again to show the zip file and once it was there just click it and the download started. Boy that's a bunch to do to get a file. What would be much better is if the Application would allow a full screen feature...maybe it does I just never fount out how. Any thoughts LittleLoudPrints ??? Doc'

Hey everything went great but i have 2 problems. Every time i turn off my printer and then turn it back on i need ti setup the printer again like i just bought the sonic pad. And also the cr touch when homing turns from purple to blue and doesn’t eject the probe and i get an error. Can you please help me ?
i got to the point where i loaded the firmware into my ender3pro, screen is blank now, Got the pad up but which file do i need to load? the skr or the ender 3 pro cr touch cfg
Nicely done! After flashing the printer, on the Sonic pad you would want to have a usb drive loaded with a printer.cfg tuned for your 3D printer. I have a video on my channel showing how to set up a printer.cfg. It would be having that file loaded on a usb drive and plugged into your 3D printer and selecting custom firmware on the Sonic pad and it should be recognized on the Sonic pad as being on the usb drive. Let me know if you have any other questions, hope that helps!

Dumb question, noob here How do you enable and disable say z homing with a cr touch, how you go about enabling the probe and disabling the end switch, and vise versa, I'm kinda used to commenting and uncommenting like in visual studio with Marlin... But this is all new to me and not finding the noob guide to using the firmware I guess
There are no dumb questions here! I started at Marlin too! Let me tell you, I do not miss compiling and flashing lol In the description I have the printer.cfg attached ready to go with CRTouch and the z end stop is disabled and ready to go. You’ll just want to switch the pins and customize everything else, but it does have the probe as the primary means of homing. It’ll say bltouch, but it won’t make a difference actually 👍 Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help out!
Thanks for the reply! , I came to your videos through a search of getting the skr mini e3 v3 to work with the Sonic pad, it's not going well lol. Seems impossible i get one step forward then the pad throws it back 2 lol So am I right in that there is no commenting what is enabled and disabled in the config then? Like it's coding languages instead of a comment right?

This is definitely not easy stuff, I'll be making a video on compiling the Klipper firmware for the e3 v3 and I'll be using the sonic pad! I'll try to get as much done as possible today. Would you want to be a tester for the firmware I compile? I unfortunately don't have the e3 v3 :/ On my list of boards to get though haha. You can comment out lines of code using this, "#". The hashtag symbol. Similarly like how in other languages it is the, "//"

Cfg kinda working, now it whent from probe errors, and fixed that, now it's mcu pc40 pin , and klippy not found I'm thinking the firmware on the board is not correct, though I get a connection the pad gives me a dev USB serial port number etc Thank you for the hash, was so confusing trying to figure out the comment uncomment I just flashed Marlin back on it, but will definitely tinker with what you need me to

Hello, I am going to install a sonic pad on my ender 3v2 with the Sprit extruder. Is it possible to take your printer.cfg file en put that on my sonic pad just simply using copy/paste? zo al the settings like offset of the touch and other bed settings or used ??I hope you answer and understand my question, Don't have the same motherboard as you have I believe
I think the things I need from you printer.cfg file are the settings needs to be changed like offset cr-touch , max -bed etc, settings I changed without the sonic-pad
I’m working on a video that is almost done, I’m hoping to release it this week. That is a great question you’re asking! And I answer your question in the video actually! The answer is yes and no, it’s hard to answer completely through a comment. But the answer is yes if you have the same motherboard. This will mean the pins will match up and functionally, things should turn on. But exercise caution. Not everything will work properly due to my printer not being a stock ender 3 v2 printer. I have modified my printer a lot and chances are you’ll have to change a bit. If the pins matched up and we had the same board you would have to still define the bed mesh minimum and bed mesh maximum - as well as the z offset. It could damage your printer, so please exercise caution. I will explain this is great detail in the video. But just know it’s possible that your printer could try to home to the right or maybe the crtouch will try to go through the bed. So if you try my printer cfg settings, you need to be ready to turn your printer off in case things look funny. My printer cfg settings are definitely made to be a reference point and made to save you time, but it still needs tweaking. My video will show you how set it up and tune it for your unique printer. And the best part is, it’s easy!!

Hey everyone. Just posting an update on the state of the channel. I was recently affected by the tech layoffs happening(I have recently gotten a new job though) but before that I was hustling it to get a job, that combined with having a 1 year old has just made it really tough to upload. However I uploaded this video because I want to make fun and helpful videos and the goal is absolutely to do that full time. Thank you so much for the support and I hope this video has helped you all in someway. Currently I plan to get a routine down that allows me to upload every week. I am currently trying to upload a video about the printer.cfg and how to set that up. I also want to respond to all of you in the comments and give you all a good response and solution for issues your facing. I’d also like to make this video again and give you an updated process. I hope to do this asap. I’ll continue updating the description with as many printer.cfg examples as possible for as many boards as possible. Thank you again!

I'm stuck for the skr mini e3 v3 :C There's no option for the processor model for the stm32g0b1 even with the most up-to-date Sonic Pad firmware itself... Can anyone help??
I ended up returning my pad now that BTT is releasing their Pad 7. Hoping it'll be a much smoother experience.
Can confirm, the Pad 7 is much nicer for BTT boards. SKR mini e3v3 works like a dream with it.
Sonic Pad is great if you have a stock Creality printer but i'm using an SKR 3EZ to run a 3V2 with DDX V3 / Mosquito and .9 degree stepper motors. If I would have known I'd have to setup a virtual machine I'd have just used an old laptop I have laying around

Doesn't work with SKR Pico.
So, I followed the steps from your tutorial. I have a 4.2.7 board (new and verified) in an Ender 3 Max. I used the Github 4.2.7 board sample and edited only the items (dimensions) as it pertains to the printer for the print.cfg file and it still won't work. I just throws an error about "cannot infer homing_positive_dir in stepper y". I also get some sort of connection error if I navigate to a setup screen. I tried updating the code with homing_positive_dir = true or false and neither changes the outcome. Any ideas?
I got an idea , i have similar errorrs in my raspberry pi -klipper install , try to change the y offsets of yuor probe in yuor printer.cfg , when the compile is ok , try to make home
