As of writing this, we are currently tied with 2005. Zeta formed early this morning.
We need Eta to form to officially tie 2005. Remember the unnamed subtropical storm in 2005.
Probably it will surpass 2005. Most named storms in November wouldn't surprise me at all. It needs 4 or more to happen and there is a good chance that it will happen.
Theres an invest on the carribean it had 80% chance to form
Eta formed, hit Honduras, its a tropical rn. Theta is developing.
And that's a point for prenaming a system. That disturbance currently has a 10/20% chance of developing. I wouldn't call it Theta, yet.

Looks like it formed over lake Okeechobee LOL.
Hurricane can indeed develop an eye over ground Its called "Brown Ocean Effect" it happened to cyclone kelvin (2018) etc.
