I would love to see these if you're able to send them ? Because it's history and low ownership I would love if its possible to get it back to it's glory days.

Next episode I'll be stripping the full interior out to get a full look at what we're dealing with. Although it's technically part of a trade series I'd love to save this and have a year with it myself. The B series engine is great and I've got an awfa love for the Honda's for reasons I just couldn't explain 😂

@@identitycarcare477 aye definitely av had a B18c4 MB6 vti and a MC2 vti Aerodeck 82k when bought the deck used minimal oil the mb6 had 150k and used a litre in 250 miles a reget buying my first one , but my mc2 was bulletproof if you go too sell it in a year let me know longshot but id buy a DC2 even if it was ropey and was fixable i, dying too buy another vti if a cant get a dc2

This runs smooth as when it fired up, no smoke or nothing which surprised me. One way or another there will be a dc2 for sale at the end of this 👍🏻

There's a lot of shell cuts available on dc2 pages which could be an option, or rolling shells for 4k mark. With a re shell and engine overhaul we could maybe end up at 8k all in without man hours into consideration and possibly get 10k in trade value against the next car 🤷🏻‍♂️ a lot of work to make 2k profit when like you say I'd probably make that in breaking it and move on a lot quicker. We're a saving channel though so we'll have to do our best to save the car in whatever capacity first.

Can you imagine the rust falling off while I jacked it off ?? Would have no car left at the end 😂😂🙈🙈

A few people have been selling big cuts for decent money but for the sake of time as well a Re-shell would make most sense. We'll see what she uncovers during the tear down because I don't think we've even scratched the surface yet in terms of rust 😆

My first experience with a car engine was working on a EK9 B16B with a £30 socket set from ebay. I'm looking forward to tearing this engine down and getting it up restored. We'll see what happens with the shell but I think it's got a few more surprises to show us 🙈

Thanks for watching, I don't have a specific upload day for videos. I work shifts at aerospace and run the garage full time as well so depending on the workload each week how quickly I can record and edit so the videos go up as soon as they're ready but I try to aim for 7-10 days. The next car in the trade is a JDM car and a long project in terms of footage for the channel. I'm hoping it's ready tonight or tomorrow I just have the finishing bits to edit. Unfortunately I don't get paid from the channel, I'd love nothing more than to be doing it full time but I need to continue working hard to get there. Thanks for your patience

@@identitycarcare477 If you want to make your videos appear in more people's recommendations you need to upload regularly, most likely once a week on the same day & same time everytime

I know how it all works but it's a catch 22, I need to work the shifts and the extra in order to have the money to spend on the cars. Hopefully we'll be at a point soon where we can make changes which lead to more and more content for you guys. I'm also always trying to improve the quality of the videos and viewer experience which is very new for me so I really don't want to abandon this and put out lower quality videos. It's a great problem to have that people are asking for more and more so it's greatly appreciated and we'll continue to work harder and harder all the time 👍🏻

It surprised me the amount of notice the cars got on a small island, literally people recording the cars coming off the ferry and everything lol

Its a closer battle with the swift than I thought. Our next battle at Knockhill will be interesting with it being a much shorter track.
