In this episode, I'm on the hunt for an isolated old homesite I believe to have existed in the 1800's. When I made it out to the area I suspected, I started seeing the broken pottery shards and bricks, and the finds began to pop! Thanks as always for watching and following along! SWEET CW FINDS
I find a lot of those St. Louis Arsenal and Merrill carbine bullets here in southwest Missouri. Another rare bullet that turns up here is the .69 caliber French triangle base, I've been fortunate enough to find 9 of those. Great video and i will be subscribing.
Awesome
That half spur is awesome
what are you using for spray?
I love your channel. One suggestion. Don't keep rubbing what you've found with caked-on layers of mud on your gloves. It doesn't show anything no matter how many times you do it. Plus it makes the video so much longer! Bring along a cantina of water and a rag. Your gloves are a hindrance.
First time watching your channel Your enthusiasm is contagious Good things happen to good people Keep up the good work my friend Ernie from Montana
Nice finds. I’m currently working a farm here in NC. So far I’ve dug an old colonial belt axe( just the axe itself) and a friend of mine has dug some pottery and an old wagon wheel frame. The owner told me there was an old home on the sight at one time. I’ll keep you posted of any more finds.
@@RobbSanderson based on your finds so far, there's definitely good stuff there. Be patient and swing slow. Keep me posted!
@@IDigHistory So far found some horse tac. Half a horse shoe with a square nail through it. An old round ring, and two forged spikes.
@@IDigHistory So far a lot of horse tac. But Wayne and I have only scratched the surface. The owners Grand Father told me that there once was an old 1900 home built on the property. I’m hitting a lot of old brick as I’m digging. So I’m trying to dig around it.
@@RobbSanderson Gotta be some silver there somewhere. Hope you get on it!
@@IDigHistory Yes there has to be, we eventually will find it. It just takes patience and time.
great video ,i would love to see one on how trash shows up beer cans, pull tabs and such
It's been a while... do you plan to release any new videos?.
@KidDig It has been! Yes, I'm going to start back again next month. Had some big life changes to get thru and I'll be back at it. Thanks for checking in!
@@IDigHistoryGreat to hear!! Hope all is well though. Take your time getting back, we will still be here!
Que detector utilizas para tus búsquedas
I use the Minelab Manticore. It's a great detector.
@@IDigHistory Gracias por decirme. Recibe saludos desde México
Recently I dug an old colonial belt axe on a farm here in NC. What is a good reference book for looking up old axes any help would be appreciated.
Hola.
Hello
awesome finds what new detector is that?you keep saying new but never say what it is?i own the mine lab equinox 800 and for kicks i bought the xterra pro which is very compatible with the higher end detectors
I got one
Definite canteen spout. Common in Louisiana and not necessarily CW because workers and others used canteens for water on hot days
At 1:53 it was a trouser clasp and it was supposed to be bent. They’re still in dress slacks and tux slacks to this day
At 2:32 it’s a concho
You had a fantastic day thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Clay is better with marbles!
What maps are you using online to find old home stead’s?
@@RobbSanderson I mostly use Historic Aerials. There's a paid side, but you can do most everything you need for free on there.
I’m glad you reply to all the comments that I can see. Some other channels I have commented on I haven’t gotten a response. I realize that it would be impossible to respond to let’s say a thousand comments. Keep up the good work, enjoy your channel.
Thanks!
This is the fixed jaw of an adjustable pipe wrench
Thank you for getting back to me. I plan on metal detecting a 500 acre farm sometime soon, I will let you know what I find. I’m also looking for a better metal detector, with better discrimation.
First coin i think it is 1869
Truly enjoy your channel. I will be digging a 500 acre farm soon, was told it had an old Grist Mill and an old Indian encampment.
Thank you! That sounds amazing! Holler if you need some help!
What's the solution you use to spray/clean your coins in the field? Enjoyed the video... Nice job.
Appreciate it! I just use water.
Screw holes on the spur. That one the soldier screwed onto the heel of his boot.
Bro!!! Im a teacher, last day of school is Thursday, you obviously need help digging all that lead, I can be there late Thursday night!!
Awesome finds
You talk to much. Dig dig
Would like to win

Is there any way you would be able to trace this badge by finding out who May have in the area with that type of badge style dating it belongs to this badge. I would think that it was probably stolen and accidentally dropped. Who knows how long It's been "lost"😅
Watch Part 2
“Also known as jump wings” lmao to be honest I forgot that it’s called a Parachute Badge
