Project by Canadian composer. Exploring sound
Renshou! - Cyberdrive
This was a short project I started after being inspired by some movies I saw recently. I was going for a retro synth feel mixed into something a little cinematic. Came out pretty cool.

This project took longer than expected as I experienced some technical difficulties in the mixing phase and ended up going back for some re-recording. It came out nicely with a lot of low end that comes through really well on speakers. Thematically I was trying to blend a dark cult-like scene with a wider bigger "spacey" quality. Resurrection (Debelier's Theme)

This piece was inspired by a poem that was written from the perspective of the character Debelier, as well as his short story. Musically I think it is one of my better pieces. I used a larger orchestral sound with familiar instruments to explore harmony and melody more deeply. I tried to add a more unconventional sound with the synthesized brass and I liked what came out of it. I'd like to expl...

Just finished working on a film sound track, it was fun and I got to work with some cool sound textures. I started this track during the film but found it just didn't fit the story at all so I put it aside. I will probably put one of the film tracks up here once we release the entire film. A return to a peaceful orchestral sound with string quartet instrumentation. Worked on more drawn out roma...

"Ominous omens of the occult overseeing my odium of a heaven restructured by a false god." I think I made some improvements with this one. It is a continuation of the video game soundtrack style I was going for with Hunt, but I think this one stands on its own more so than the previous song. This song was super oriented towards a video game OST structure. The name was inspired by the type of soundtrack I think it would be part of. Musically I've deviated from my normal compositions but I've been sitting on a lot of stuff with a more metal or gritty sound like this and it includes more instruments I actually like playing more. It was super fun making it, especially the synths. There...

This piece started off inspired by the work of Yuka Kitamura, a Japanese composer popular for her work on video games such as Dark Souls. As I worked on the piece it went through some changes and I found myself diving into Gustav Mahler's works as well as lectures on him and his epic type of music. I believe that led to his music's influence on parts of the piece as well. Naturally I cannot rea...

This piece has actually been sitting on my computer for about a week or two, I didn't want to upload all of my new songs at once, seems weird. It worked out as due to some circumstances I wasn't able to work at all last week. I just started my next project and I thought clearing out all my extra stuff would be a good sendoff. The piece was inspired by Hans Zimmer and his interstellar soundtrack...

I'm going to be taking on a big project soon so I've been writing a lot, a few songs I really liked came out of it. This one was inspired by a great joy and a feeling of color that I've experienced recently. I wrote it in C Dorian Mode because I enjoy the minor key quite a lot but it needed a more playful color that C minor didn't quite get me. Going forward I don't think I'll number my project...

This was a simple piece that I put more of myself into. A lot of my projects are growth oriented but with this one I just wanted to say something. Closer to my piano in its purpose, been thinking a lot and this piece came out of it. Instruments: Piano Synths Cello Viola Bass Synth

This piece I took some extra time with the mix trying to get a feeling of the sound passing by. I took some inspiration for the instrumentation from video game soundtracks with a heavy synth composition. Instruments Used: Bass Synth Brass Synths Drum Synths Organ Goal. A moving feeling to the sound of this cinematic mix

I wanted to move in a more cinematic direction with this piece. It came from less inspiration than my previous works but more from an exploration of sounds. I wanted to create something intense, and drove forward with ideas that aided that goal. Instruments Used: Choir - Bass, Tenor, Soprano String Ensemble - Bass, Cello, Viola, Violin Solo Violin Concert Bass Drum Synths Goal. Exploring new id...

Project 7. This was a piece inspired heavily by one of my favorite composers Guillaume David and his work on the Warhammer 40k Mechanicus game. His instrumentation for that soundtrack was exceptional, especially the organ and bass synths. Instruments Used: Organ Bass Synth Brass Synths Foghorn Synth Cello Voice Goal. Pushing my ability to write cinematic compositions. "From the moment I underst...

nice man, good song ❤🎉
Thank you!
Odium like the true god of humans from the Stormlight Archive?
The title was inspired by a poem, but I've heard a lot about that book series though! It's an uncommon word, so it's cool that it was used for a character's name.
@@renshoumusic good song anyway

Music sounds good BTW art is from a game called warhammer 40000
Thanks! I'm a fan of Warhammer
I looked at this and assumed it was a futuristic bloodborne
The art does give that vibe, would be a cool game too
That’s basically Warhammer 40K, I guess
Welcome to the world of 40k
Not sure why I was recommended but its good.
Thank you Darthman, I'm glad you like it
If it is original yours, then not bad
Yes, this is my work my friend. Haha
Excelente. I can be introspective, get into the depth of my soul, yet see beyond the eyes and start imagining where I dream to be.
