Can we cook after using car polish? Is it flammable once we turn it back on?

You need to use the right type of cookware as well… most cookware will say somewhere on the pot/pan or box it came in if it’s compatible with your stovetop. This is usually what causes the scratches in the first place. 😊 If I had to choose I wouldn’t buy another glass top, they are pretty but…. As soon as they scratch they don’t look so pretty anymore.

Why did you NOT test ceramic cook top cleaner/polish? Available everywhere, often shipped with a new cook top.

Could I fill it with expanding foam and put wood filler over it then sand and paint

Using a bit of citric acid is easy. It's not significant consumption. A splash will do when it is hot. You need to scrub your cup with soda.

This is insane. I was so skeptical to try it and it actually worked 😂 But note that some paracetamol tablets stick back when the iron gets cold, so wipe it with a dry tissue as n when it melts.. Brilliant hack thank you!

Nope.... I use water from bottles of 2 ltr that I buy... I am not going to waste every time the water left!!!! But if I clean it every time I see the lime mounting, then I do not need to buy anything, it goes away with the sponge... but if I leave it longer then no, you have to use vinager and leave it there cold for 5 minutes, throw it away and clean it properly!

All depends if these are actually scratches on the glass u cannot get rid, but if it’s water marks jiff works with a non abrasive sponge

How many people are here because their parents are coming back tomorrow and they scratched the cooker top 😅

Spraying water through the sole plate is not something that you can do safely for a long time, since it seems to be difficult to keep water and steel, even live electrics, apart. Maybe the answer for longevity is to go back to using a plain hot iron and a wet sponge or towel.

If you have markings it will work, if you have scratches (grooves) you have to exchange the complete field

Чтобы сода с водой рвботала,надо включить нагрев комфорки до температуры пока рука терпит. И заблокировать плиту. Тереть конфорку мягкой стороной губки. Грубая сторона оставляет царапины. Если вода испарилась или ее не хватило, то доливаем горячеватую воду и посыпать соды. Холодную нельзя - перепад температур опасен. Если посое мытья омтались бензиновые следы, то когда плита полностью остынет,это важно, надо ватные диски намочить 5% уксусом и закрыть ими конфорку, сверху пищевую пленку положить. Через 10-15 минут все убрать и промыть чистой водой..

what I use is a random copper sheet thingy, that I flattened on one side and sort of sharpened on some sandpaper, the copper being softer than glas, made me think I could just simply scrape the glass clean and I was right.

I was very sceptical about this method, but to my amazement, it works fantastically. Excellent hack, thank you. Just mind your fingers on the hot soleplate!
