Milwaukee 3/8 and 1/4 drive sets
Переглядів 39310 місяців тому
Picked up the 3/8 Dr kit from Home Depot on their Black Friday sale. Both these Milwaukee kits come with shallow and deep sockets, extensions, swivel, and a ratchet. Great for at home or if you’re starting out.

Just caught this exact Proto set for $75...full set 7-24mm. Lucky guy I guess!
Hello, thanks for the two shorts, do you have the torque for the head bolts? Thank you very much.
hey i’m doing this job myself in my garage and i’ve got a few questions, could i get in contact with you ?Thank you!!
Now we’re talking different levels here than the nepros and snap on but thought some folks may appreciate this as I would have but Regarding flex head 25” ratchets Now the wording and translation issues I’m not 100% sure, but it does say made in Japan the Tone model Rh4fhx is hands down the best value I’ve found in terms of 2’+ flex head style, it’s not locking but it holds well enough Unless you’re using a 36 mm mpact socket or something it stays where ya want it and not only that the price is unbeatable as they can be had for under 75usd to my door
I thought blackhawks were also in the stanley family.
The new 100 tooth is great. Mine doesn't have any bad back drag, even brand new it didn't
A good piece of chain
I got this exact set, love it! I also bought an wobble fix extension to match
cool set up. where do you get the wrench stands in the second drawer?
1:55.. the newer 80's say USA but the screws are the same..they don't go through to the back...just through the plate..my new Williams do though
😮 i gave up on puzzles a long time ago 🧩
Would you say that if the fastener is rounded you can either hammer on a smaller size socket or use a turbo socket and these rounded fastener sockets such as snap on flank drive plus, Mac precision torque, and matco non slip are all gimmicks?
Craftsman V Series wrenches are the same as Facom and Mac
They are close, I don't think the V series have the knuckle saver open end.
Ya can’t say you like Milwaukee hand tools you’ll have every single tool truck guy come out and call them junk LOL I’m being satirical lol I like em too not saying their wrenches are top notch but I like my Milwaukee wrenches for what they are Nice box though!!! I ordered my hutch for my 68” epiq two months ago just playing the waiting game till it gets here How easy was it to drill and mount the hutch ???
I bought the box used so it was already done for me, but I hope you get your hutch soon if you havnt already lol my coworker it took about a year
@@tooltechreviews mine actually came in 3 weeks ago I was surprised because I ordered it back in April Last time I ordered anything big like that (my stainless steel top) it took about 9 months
2:18.. Satin is chrome..just a different process... 6:15.. to hold a McPherson strut on top so it doesn't spin..and some exhaust studs have a 9mm on top..
I was wondering if you could recommend tool that double in price wen selling for example the 1/2 Craftsman flex head ratchet i buy for. 50$ and sell for 3 hundred snap on and icon have bad resale they sell for half original price and also the Craftsman double box end wrenches selling for 400 3 times more than original price and i think they are going up
i just picked up the same set, i noticed on larger wrenches like 22, 23, 24 the open end look like they scratches or pit lines. The Chrome on mine didn’t chip off like that, well it’s still new so whose know.
How's the ratchet holding up. I to am on Japanese kick right now and have many kokens but no Nepros. I'm not a fan of flex heads over all but I'm definitely interested in purchasing this ratchet for the quality and the "nylon" bushing. What your thoughts so far after using it?
I use koken as my daily drivers and snap on for heavy torque. The only reason is because snappy rebuild kits are everywhere, and I can get one quickly. The koken rebuild takes at least a week.
nah I disagree I held both and went with the 80...somethings off with that ratchet
I was hoping to buy one. The dealer told me oh wait next week il get the new 100 tooth ratchet. So i waited and bought the new generation. Now i'm waiting for him to come back to exchange it for the old generation. No amount of teeth is EVER. Gonna compensate for the insane amount of back drag this has. I mean i bought it with more teeth mainly for hard to reach space so for less swing arc but how am i supposed to use it if i can't tighten anything because of it!!!!
She don’t lie She don’t lie She don’t lie… Koken - JJ Cale
Can we see how you mounted your monitor 👁👄👁
I have Carlyle, Snapon, Milwaukee, and one other Taiwan brand of the no slip wrenches. I also have the Wright. In my opinion the Wright grip works by far the best. Only "issue" is that the Wright are shorter than the Snapon and Carlyle. But that is not a deal breaker.
I live in WI so it's Snap-On country but I love Wright Grip wrenches. I have both metric and SAE no skips. Have the full range of ratchets and sockets too. Cheaper than Snap-on, not the best chrome but it's still better chrome than the US-made SK's I bought in 2012. I think the chrome issue is mainly due to EPA. If the metal has residue from the manufacturing process, the chrome has less of a bond to the steel. The solvents are highly regulated and are inferior to previous decades. The chrome process itself is handicapped by the EPA. I've had a lot of chrome tools flake and peel. They're all made in USA tools where the government makes it nearly impossible to have a perfect chrome job. Over in Taiwan/China, they can do a lot of things, use a lot of chemicals that the EPA & OSHA would never allow to be used.
Yes, that’s the long Koken. I have the long & short 3/8”. They are a KTC product too. I have some of their socket sets as well. Really superior tools.
The design is a copy of the Japanese koken,
No. The Koken has 3 moving parts. The pawl, switch and anvil. And a spring.
Whats the brand of the adjustable drawer dividers you got there ?
03:43 "I've boughten Ko-ken...." Heaven forbid just sayin "i've bought..."!
I BOUGHT
Who sells wright wrenches
Abolox tools in Florida. They good Wright tool distributors, I buy my Wright tools 2.0 wrenchs from them and my wrenchs arrived in 2 to 3 days 🔧🔧🔧🔧🔧
USAG sells a longer set with antislip like the MAC... I've got that Proto satin set at work...they're great wrenches
10:25... easy to service..sealed or not, if people would service their tools frequently then they will stay smooth a long time
Your Proto wrenches look similar to my Proto Professional wrenches which I bought ca. 1980, but I don't see a "U.S.A." mark on yours. Where are they made?
Use strips of rubber grip mat behind the small wrenches. You have to be careful still but it's more forgiving. Make a hanger with a hook, for the wrench tool roll when open
Thing of beauty
I was very hesitant at first but once it breaks in it will be the go to ratchet i love it and you can feel it getting better as you use it.
Great video and set up! Fleet mechanic also from the uk. Subscribed
The MAC ones are top of the line for stanely. The metal in the macs are better than the facoms and Australian brand. There are differences that your eyes dont really notice
Proto is top of the line for Stanley Black and Decker.
Same one as the mac tools one.....
Can you give me the part number on that Snap-on head lamp? I cannot find it
When I go back to work next week I will. I noticed the one I have is a little different too from some of the other snap on ones.
Echdc038r
I'm between getting the Mac RBRT and the precision torque wrenches, haven't decided
Commenting on the video for the algorithm
Definitely 72 teeth
Most of the tíme Tekton n SUNEX tell you to keep the broken tool
When the screws holding the plate on come in through the back to the front, there's a lot less threads holding the plate on. Going from the front to the back, you get 2/3 screw thread engagement while other way less than 1/4 of the threads engage. Making more stress on the end of the screws.
If they come to the UK without that old logo then I’m not buying them
Same been after these for ages but dealer being shit uninterested and snap on uk taking ages upto June I think we’re waiting
@@alexv8man are you drunk?
Great tour and enjoyed the detailed commentary!! Awesome tool collection and layout👍Subscribed
Thank you! I appreciate your kind feedback
aswesome setup. Wish mine had the 2 drawers instead of the one power drawer on the right side.
What brand of adjustable wrench’s do you have ?
Those are ones that came in a mac tools Plier kit although they don’t say mac on them and I have one pair of Fujiya adjustable wrench which is the smaller one. I’ve been looking out to get a set of Bahco ones pretty soon.
Turn your phone sideways.
I mention in the beginning I didn’t so at some point I’ll redo the video
