North Central Florida was COVERED in these "drones" all night last night. Somebody spotted 100 of them at once in Colombia County. They were in Alachua & Marion county too.

I'm a radio amateur up in Canada and was checking the Sarnet stream from time to time during hurricane Helene and was wondering why I wasn't hearing anything on it. Now I understand. I was getting most of the information from the Hurricane Watch Net. Thanks for the info.

I have the UV25, evidently the 10 watt model. I simply love it. Tx and rx 2 meters, 1.25 m, 70cm and GMRS. The UV pegged my 10 watt meter on all bands. The only downside I have is not with the radio, but with Amazon. Had I been a prime member I would have received the radio in a week or less. Ordering on regular Amazon it took 2 months to get it. I have many baofeng radios from Amazon, but I am questioning buying radios from them in the future. I love my Chinese radios they all perform. They have been reliable. 73 AI5QR

It’s a bunch of LIDs anyway. Why do Hams think they are important? Many of them think they have some sort of actual power. It’s just a hobby. It is no longer necessary for emergencies. AT&T removed it as a back up for anything. It’s only a hobby. And a dying hobby at that. SARNET is run by a bunch of dorks. Get a group of people and start complaining to the state. Watch how fast they remove their access to that wireless microwave network. The FCC is not going to do anything about kerchunking. These people are dreaming. Don’t lose sleep over a hobby. That’s all it is!!!! I’m 45 years old and have been a ham since I was 12. It’s always the same thing. Hams think they are important and they aren’t. They are pains to law enforcement and emergency services. They are irrelevant. Enjoy the HOBBY for what it is. Ignore the whackers who think they have power. Complain to the state. Get a group together to show them these things. Watch how fast SARNET loses that microwave access. The state tends to not like things that bring turmoil.

Ham radio is a hobby for tinkerers. With that in mind LOTW fits right in.

People have been conned into thinking the ARRL is voice of ham radio. They are not.....we hams are. If they want to set books and magazines, fine. But we hams don't need the ARRL to speak for we hams.

I really wish some of these Chinese radio manufacturers would make a tri-band 10, 11 and 12 M walkie-talkie that is all mode, am, fm, and Side Band both Upper and Lower Side Band, there was radios like this 30 years ago but radio manufacturers stop making them and you can't find them anymore, I would love to find one of these radio manufacturers like baofeng come out with a radio like this, I know a lot of people including myself that would buy them, I wish I could convince them to produce these type of radios at a really affordable price like the uv-5r

As I understand it is that Scotty's office was at upper right of the core with the same type of screen used in front of the core. It's at the same height as the second tier at left. There is a video here on UA-cam that's a virtual tour of engineering showing this office for Scotty. Plus there's another counsel to the immediate right as you enter engineering. Pull out panels and charts in the wall behind desk. Panel on wall with trident analyzer. I don't know which season or episode but I have seen stills of him up there in his office with some female lol.

I have two of these. One has been rock solid and one had problems. The rock solid one came from Amazon and the bad one came from Anysecu, who have terrible customer service. Anyway, I will get another from Amazon shortly. The speaker is absolutely amazing on the is radio. It is clear and powerful. That gooseneck antenna is good but that tacticool cap on the end is empty. There's no coil in it. One of mine fell apart and the antenna with the standard whip construction fell out. Amazon has other similar tacticool antennas if that's what floats your boat but any other dual band will work fine. I also like the form factor of this radio. The battery is also awesome and the radio takes the standard Baofeng/Kenwood programming cable and mic connection. You can also upload an image that flashes at power up. Overall a very cool radio. Great video BTW!

I have 3 Baofengs and have not had a problem with them. My first night at the technician class and couple of the instructors were bashing them andliy just didn't sit right with me

Good review I just came across your channel while watching other videos. I'm new just recently got my GMRS license and am working on my ham. I have a few Baofeng radios we use and I think I'm going to get a couple of these. My latest radio is the AR-152 and it's been sort of a pain trying to use

First I want to give you my two cents about HOAs. Some people are limited to their choice in where they can rent. Skyrocketing housing prices in my area make it impossible to find non HOA rentals. So that said I agree to a point. Lack of interest in ham radio I think can also begin at the club level. My club is 98% over 70 and they do not have projects that build antennas or kits. Many folks love Flex radios but I think it takes away from the hobby. My club has three of them and only one radio with knobs. When you remote in all you do is point and click the mouse and that is not ham radio in my view.

I don’t remember where I read this but, the UV25 PRO MAX transmits on the 220, and the UV25 does not. Anyone correct me on this?

I have the digital display version. A++++++ radio, amazing sound and features and build quality for minimal cost.
