I get this error when trying to import office word or excel (pdf and others work fine): test.xlsx: Error occurred while consuming document test.xlsx: Could not parse /tmp/paperless/paperless-ngxuvaq9ff2/test.xlsx with tika server at tika:9998: Request URL has an unsupported protocol 'tika://'. Looks like tika is not setup correctly. How can I fix this ? Thanks.

Man I can't begin to tell you how much this helped me. I went down a caddy rabbit hole for about 4 days trying to get this to work. I'm using Unraid and while there is an official docker container there isn't much documentation for it. I found your video and followed the steps and it works perfectly. Only thing I did differently was change paths.

I followed this and am mostly up and running. My problem seems to be that email can send and receive, but for some reason, gmail in particular will not receive an email sent to it. I can send from gmail to the mailplus server just fine but not from mailplus to gmail. If I test this with another email provider, I can both send and receive just fine, so the problem seems to be specific to only gmail, and only gmail receiving emails from mail server. Any ideas of where to start troubleshooting?

Will have to check how many U's I will need now and in the near future. I plan to integrate a normal Consumer Synology in the rack. Curious how I can do that, so that the NAS is locked in and can not be tipped over or something.

seems like everyone glosses over that you must use an ADMIN account on the target server.. seriously ?! So if your source server gets compromised expect the target server to get hijacked too.

My problem is that I don't have a docker setup. It's just a raspberry pi 2 so I guess the command would be different to reset the password or to even gain access through ssh.

It doesn't work for me. I created a Git repository on the NAS and tried pushing to it or cloning it to my local machine. It processes for a while, doesn't prompt for a password, and then just shows 'access denied' in the logs

I have been pretty mystified by Git for whatever reason. I've used other version control systems (cvs, svn) and while I was never really a power user of either, I at least understood them. Basically :) . I've been doing music production for a few years now and have been bitten several times by the fact that I haven't had my work under version control. I've tried to set up Git on my NAS more than once and failed. I've even tried it with this video before, was baffled and failed. I've spent the last week trying again, using The Internet as my guide. Oy. I was about to throw in the towell but decided to try again with your video. I went slowly, paid attention, and backed up as-needed. And...SUCCESS!!! The process still seems pretty convoluted to me but I'm not going to argue. Anyway, THANK YOU for making this video. Peace.

Great video. I have both a Synology and a QNAP but run my VM's on the QNAP. The Synology is a bit more clear for the installation process especially the Virtio although your guiding hand made it just that much easier.

This add on did the trick and finally I got my certificate back. Now I have set this up how do I go about setting up a website on the nas? does having the reverse proxy alter the hosting setup? I just can't seem to get a secure connection to the website.

Is there a way to see it anywhere else?

I had to remove the :latest from the image name to get the yaml to work.
