In 1845 the Hudson's Bay Company laid claim to San Juan Island. In 1850 they built a salmon curing station. A few years later they started a sheep farm. The town's name originates from Joseph Poalie Friday, a native Hawaiian. Friday worked at the Pugets Sound Agricultural Company's Fort Cowlitz, from 1841 to 1859-60 and later moved north to San Juan Island, raising and herding sheep around the ...

There is a whole houseful of rooms below the Hotel building you went around so quickly. The back corner you hurried around was actually the entrance to living facilities that my father's family lived in during the '30's. I wish I could take you on the nickel tour of the below ground rooms. I know they are blocked off now and I'm sure few people have seen them bsides myself. I did back in the '70's as a kid.

you know what’s strange? I posted this video a couple years ago and within the last 48 hours there’s been around six or eight people who live in that town contacting me about how I got it all wrong and how stupid I am and how it is all above board. I did not realize that hotel had a basement that is pretty fascinating! People think just because their ancestors grew up there or settled there that there could not have been any shenanigans going on in the very beginning because they’re related to those people. If you get access, hit me up I’ll come back. That would be amazing!

I am from Richfield. My grandfather owned the small building in the opening shot of your video for 45 years. My great and great-great grandparents were original settlers of Richfield and surrounding communities. Based on what they told me about their lives, and what I see in the community, and your observation of it, I can say with complete confidence that a walk through the ocean of your knowledge of architecture and history wouldn't even get a person's toenails wet. There was no mud flood, there were no old foundations to build modern structures on. Among the things you don't take into account are the conditions in Sevier Valley before settlers first came. The area was complete wilderness. Its only inhabitants were Piute hunter-gatherers. These people were semi-nomadic, and built no permanent structures. That's partly because of their lack of metal tools. It's kind of hard to saw lumber and quarry stone without metal! From 1864 to 1892, Richfield was being settled, but by people who had to freight everything in the way of tools and materials in by wagon, or find it locally. Supply and demand undoubtedly led some enterprising soul to build a sawmill, and others established a quarry and a brickmaking facility. It was still prohibitively expensive to haul building materials into the area (even nails were scarce!), so it’s no surprise if older buildings in the area are all made of similar materials, particularly that distinctive Sevier Valley yellow brick, and in a similar style. It is no surprise that buildings of this era are similar, since there was a limited, all local, skilled workforce producing them. The many arched windows, extant and bricked out, are evidence of the same builders. Brick arches don’t support themselves until they are complete. They have to be supported with frames until then. It’s easy to conclude that the builders used the same supports over and over as they built. The coming of the railroad in 1892 made bringing in both people and goods enormously easier. More tools, and outside materials, probably led to greater diversity in architecture, although there was still a local cadre of artisans doing most of the building, so it is not surprising that the buildings have a lot in common. Your most egregious omission in your bumbling attempt at architectural history is that you are evidently completely unaware of the Earthquake of 1921. On September 29, 1921, a 6.3 earthquake rattled Sevier Valley. The quake and two severe aftershocks did extensive damage. Many of the repairs of that damage can still be seen in older structures in Sevier Valley. Buildings can be dated earlier than 1921 if they show repaired quake damage. Post-earthquake finds buildings in Utah resembling more and more those in the rest of the country. You blunder worst in your clumsy analysis of the origin of the Zions Bank building. That bank stands on the grounds occupied by a National Guard Armory back in the Fifties. That was razed and the bank built, sometime in the Sixties or Seventies. That you can't even identify a mid-century building, speaks to what an amateurish attempt your video is.

Trust me, I’ve put a lot more time into this research than you’ve probably put into anything that you’ve ever done in your life. Your ancestors found that town and likely helped steal it at gun point from the natives that had probably inherited it first - just as they did the land. You believe just because you’re related to somebody from 150 years ago (that you never met) that they must be honest because after all -“they are related to you” 🤡. That town was founded by Freemasons and Freemasons are a secret society and their job is to keep secrets even from their offspring. Wikipedia: 1870 - 4 people living there. 1880 - 1200 people living there. Get real..

Gad! You can't even be bothered to read a Wikipedia article on a building! The Joseph Smith Memorial Building was built, as the Hotel Utah, in 1909-1911, not in the 1870's. You're complete lack of research bespeaks a lack of intellect as well. Completely worthless video.

A Discourse by President Heber C. Kimball, Delivered in the Tabernacle, Great Salt Lake City, October 7th, 1852, at the General Conference. Reported by G. D. Watt. jod.mrm.org/1/294 (jod.mrm.org/1/294) “In the city of Manti, half of the houses are vacant; [who are in the other half???!!!] there are houses enough empty there to accommodate fifty or a hundred families. We will fill up these mountains, take up the land, and, as they used to say in the States, “become squatters,” and we will become thicker on the mountains than the crickets ever were.” I think it might be time you start reading some history - not written by the people who settled your town - all of which were members of a secret combination called freemasonry - every last settler was a member. Your very words are all I need to reply. There was one white man living here when the first 10 families moved here in 1864. His name was Barney Ward. He was married to an Indian woman............................In the early part of January 1864, a party of ten men under the leadership of Albert Lewis came from Sanpete County, Utah and arrived in what is now Richfield. The Mormon settlers found fertile soil, good water and wood in the nearby hills. They decided that it was a desirable site for a settlement. These pioneers made a dwelling place for all ten men, which they called 'The Hole in the Ground.' They carefully covered this hole with brush willows and other materials and made a crude chimney of rocks. This dugout was located on today's Main Street. These men spent the remainder of the winter in this dwelling, planning and preparing for the time when they could bring their families. The early Mormon settlements were abandoned in 1867 due to the conflict known as the Black Hawk War. But, when resettled in 1871, Richfield grew to become a regional center. The coming of the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad in 1891 opened the valley for expanded agricultural commerce and mining. This quote took place 5 years after the Mormons entered the Salt Lake Valley in 1852! In Iron County also there are similar advantages [there are 100 empty homes in Parowan????!!!]. If Manti was already there (which it was) then Richfield was as well. 🍻

having the same rif play over and over and over and over and over quite loud makes this a difficult listen. The slide show is excellent. Just because Tartaria is cutting edge having a menacing rap rif is not going to make this more interesting.

This is a complete human (no ai) translation/reproduction (from scratch) of the most famous Mudflood/Tartarian research video ever made from the most famous Mudflood Tartarian research channel on earth that you never heard of until now. okay, but my belief is that it wasn't a flood but rather sinking, when the earth was mixed with water and somehow vibrated so everything would sink in rather than being flooded. The only place safe was where the buildings were build on rock, like churches and castles

    • @streetsoftartaria

I’ve thought the same before but liquefaction makes buildings sink “unlevel”. These buildings are level.. hmm

Awesome to see you back! I'm still wondering about the slightly pushed open intact windows and screens below ground level without oozing mud embedded and dried into the screen or broken glass? Those look like they were buried in a hurry to avoid sky dragon fire or something. Clumped dirt that looks shovelled and total disregard to cover the window beforehand that can still be seen from inside. Wouldn't the hydraulic pressure from that much mud be like a hundred bulldozers?
