It costs only $1399 with , inclusive of everything including audit . Been with them for 7 years, wish I did it sooner as soon as my balance reached $50k. Basic investing skill is all one needs. There are a lot of opportunities in asx. Even if one invests only 5-10% of super and the rest in s&p500, it can be rewarding. Being able to invest in penny stocks that have 10-100x potential is one reason we took ownership of managing our super.

all 8. I earn high income but realised that whenever I stop working there are no income (self-employed, no holiday pay). Can't last > 2 months if I would be sick. Therefore, slowly getting more passive income inside and outside superannuation. Goal would be earning enough passive income to exceed my active income when reaching retirement. My emergency fund is parked in the offset account. Wasn't born rich and understand the pain of lack of means.

What if the capital gain gets a CGT discount however your capital loss is not eligible for a discount? In your example is the nominal amount: (667 * 0.5) + (-510) = 176.5 nominal gain Or (667 + -510) * 0.5 = 78 nominal gain

A million dollars isn't all its cracked out to be nowadays. In 20-30 years it will be worth so much less, I doubt the buying power of it then will make much of a dent due to inflation and rising costs of living. But I do get the lesson here with compound interest in general.

You’ll need to fix this video by getting the couples' savings in Australia and picking the state and territory where most Australians live and deduct their incomes by the average rent or mortgage repayments. That will cripple the power of compound interests and we haven't even started on grocery and utility bills. Do the calculation and a video and you may potentially get recognised by media presenters and journalist because lets face it.....they don't do and research or calculations

Your figures are all wrong your talking about average declared income Most tradesmen and the like only declare a small part of there income Rule of thumb only declares about 30% So most tradesmen declare about 80k an get about another 160k tax free So the roughly earn about 300k to 400k Most launder the money by buy car a fixing then up Jet skis etc are good to Buying a old house and fixing it up is a good way to launder money too Most hold a lot of cash too Gold is good to hold too And because they have so many expenses a lot don’t pay any tax at all But you should pay some or you will get audited which a hassle

I open the kids account, using my TFN, dividends will be taxed to my personal income, when they reach 18, I transfer the account to my kids, and there will be no CGT on my end, except CGT on my kids only when they sell. Is this correct? 2. Do I have to transfer the account to my kids at 18 or could I transfer at a later year (i.e. 25 or 30)?

Don't be seduced by large dividends. Concentrate on total return. There is no sense in collecting large dividends if your overall investment is going down however I’d say SPYI, JEPQ, QQI and IWMI. But do your research. Personally I put down 250k on few ETFs, still diversifying. Earning season is around the corner, It was this time last year I made a huge break through with 200k. Handed it to a firm here in Texas, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. IWM will probably crush it this quarter
