I have a 95 ranger that I bought in 96. It had a little over 12,000 miles on it. It now sits at 367,000 miles. I still get 23 to 26 miles to a gallon. I can get 380 to 420 miles on a tank of gas. I dont want any piece of crap electric car or truck.

Bought my 03 Dakota Quad cab SLT 4.7 in 04. Was a Hertz Rental, 21500 miles on it. Now has 214000. Reg oil chgs 5000 mi, 2 water pumps, 1 Alternator, all ball joints, 1 battery, rack n pinion, 1 set of shocks,, reg svc. I'll keep her till she falls, then I'll rebuild her. Love my Dodge. No complaints.

Does anyone know how to read GM Chevy obd1 transmission codes that may be stored? Hoping somebody had this exact issue and knows the proper fix. 4L60E automatic. 228,000 miles. Tranny shift delays from 1st to 2nd, when at any temp. Will hang in 1st until 2,700 to 3,000 rpm, and shift softly when it eventually upshifts. I can also get it to up-shift by slightly easing up on fuel pedal, at about 2,400 to 2,700 rpms. It will downshift as it should when going up a hill at around 15/20mph, 2nd to 1st. Reverse and 1st always work good, cold or hot. 3rd & 4th work fine. Fluid is exactly Full and clean, when hot/level. No Check Engine Light or any other warnings or issues. Anyone have this same thing? Thanks!

I've had a major problem with my 2005 Pontiac vibe. I bought the vehicle in 2010 with 5600 miles. I paid $ 1800 in a estate sale and now have 76000 miles with no problems, except for a computer chip fault. Now I have a major problem in that I have one broken front seat belt. It's the best car I've ever owned (I'm 78). It was completely made by Toyota and Pontiac stuck their emblem on the front. You can find worthy vehicles out there, but you have to search. 😅😅

The Toyota RAV4 does NOT have CVT transmission. It has an eCVT transmission which differs substantially from a CVT. I suggest you research that more for yourself.

You mentioned the encore offering 25mpg being reasonable I had to laugh as with my citroen I get on average 52mpg
