I like watching these Won’t Get Fooled Again reactions for the reaction to the performance, but this was really interesting with the attention to the incredible, unfortunately timeless lyrics. And it’s nice that, when watching The Who in this, every first time viewer seems to see John’s stillness as just as cool as the other’s energy.

I grew up listening to this and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your appreciation for the notion of losing 10 years it happens a lot. But it can be avoided if you remain present.

If you really want to give yourself a treat start the album from the beginning, lights out, headphones on, laying on your bed , or sitting in your chair. And then just enjoy the whole thing. Dark side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall are all meant to be played from beginning to end without interruption. You'll absolutely love it. It will have a deeper meaning. Nothing is wasted with Pink Floyd. Every note, and every word has meaning. Long time Floy fan here. Enjoy!!

This song gives me a huge existencial crisis.

This song is from the album that went on to be a feature movie, The Wall. The entire album is incredible! The movie is a great way to understand the meaning of every song. Comfortably Numb is about the main character, Pink, who OD’s in a motel room. (Pink is the lead singer for the band the story revolves around.) The band’s manager finds Pink in his hotel room and couldn’t care less that he’s dying. He’s more concerned about getting him to the show and fulfilling obligations. A Doctor Feel Good is summoned to administer counter measure narcotics. Lyrics like “A little pin prick.” “That’ll keep you going through the show.” Pink remembers his near death experience when he was a child while Doctor Feel Good administers the narcotics. As a child he takes an infected rat as a pet. “When I was a child I had a fever. My hands felt like 2 balloons.” Again, for more clarification on songs from The Wall, watch the movie.
