    Good video. Three quick things:
    1) I think DeWALT has decided that impact drivers aren’t impact wrenches and have designed them accordingly. The 860 usually smokes the competition on smaller screws assuming similar batteries, and DeWALT impact wrenches are usually best in class.
    2) I believe TTC still considers the DeWALT 6ah battery with 21700 cells to be DW’s best performer. I doubt it would push the 860 over the gen 4 on the larger diameter stuff, who knows.
    3) the screw that wasn’t close, clearly the DeWALT hit something. Notice as it went further in it got faster? The testing broadly was fair, but that test in particular was an anomaly.

Yeah I never saw that go that slow. Even holding the DCF860 while pulling the trigger you could fill the difference in power over the 5ah powerstack. It's got a bit more torque. Most channels show the 9ah as the best in driving things over the 5ah powerstack. I appreciate the comment. I'm not putting my hopes in the 8ah powerpack or the 6ah xr. I've tried the 5ah powerstack, and 9ah flexvolt and 12ah flexvolt. Dewalt just doesn't make the best impacts driver. What makes me upset is they lied. Watch me newest video.

      @@ChristianElectricianyeah that’s fair.
Although I’d bet you a good amount of money that 860 will outlast the Gen4.
Lighting and Ergo are also better, speed 1 is better, lighting control has more options, etc.
I love the torque and speed but they do you no good if your driver smokes itself out

@burningstraw1523 hey it was fun to chat with you on the livestream! Appreciate you man.
Milwaukee has the 5 year warranty though which buffers the longevity worry factor. I hear you though.

@@ChristianElectricianAs a guy that has used tools in a different trade. I bought a tool with excellent warranty but failed regularly. In the end I went with one that didn't fail and got the job done. No down time or returning to stores for warranties. I guess it is all a balancing act for efficiency and which performs better overall.

    I'm receiving my 860 today.

More torque rating doesn’t mean faster in many test, but it will have more chance of finishing a bigger job. For example, 860 will surely do stubborn nut busting better the gen4 in case you use it as a impact wrench substitute.
I believe Dewalt intentionally design it not too powerful otherwise it will very hard to control. On the other hand it could do more job than the competitors covering small to large fasteners.

A company with that much money should know how to market. I'm tired of us Dewalt guys being the clean up crew. Maybe dewalt meant this or that, enough of that. If you look on the box it comes in it states 2500 in-lbs and shows a nut being turned clockwise which is to fasten, not loosen. They didn't market it as such. When you spend thousands of dollars on a tool company you want them to be honest and transparent, that's where they are lacking. Don't you love explaining Unit Watts Out on the drills instead of simply talking about torque.
But please feel free to carry on with being their spokesperson, they'll never notice you, I've done it for years.

@@ChristianElectrician They are not that smart for communication I know since Powerstack, but just try to think why would they do that kind of design for the tool. Anyway 860 is still a very good tool to use, I try it comparing to many other impact driver. It is smooth, low vibration, yet powerful. However if you have a chance to try Makita's, it always the best feeling tool but much less powerful and never win any competition of speed.

I prefer reverse this will make a perfect 3/8 or 1/2 inch conversion tool.

I think Dewalt put the spring in backwards. It needs the torque to put screws in, not remove them.

Reusing the screws can affect the test as well

Does your DCF 860 have a small gap at the top of the hand grip?

    • @ChristianElectrician
      @ChristianElectrician  4 місяці тому +1

Little small gaps in the rubber seals all over. Nothing bad though or concerning

@ChristianElectrician Thanks. Yeah, I picked one up and thought it was a defect. But I got another, and it was the same. Must be part of the assembly process for these because my 887 is tight all around. I'm still really impressed with this! Great vids bud!

None of those win. There just to over priced everyone is buying the lower brands. Low price same results

Well none of your statement is true, but nice try. Dewalt is still the biggest sales in the us and I’m pretty sure Milwaukee is close behind. Doesn’t even get into, “ they’re all the same”
