2:50 The helicopter pilot reported the mystery drone as being able to maintain a speed of 100 mph while travelling directly into a headwind blowing at 40 mph.

I believe I had read somewhere that Davis-Monthan Air Force Base control tower was in continuous contact with the helicopter helping them track it, and there was a Customs and Border Protection helicopter involved in the chase as well. Nearly five years earlier, there was a similar incident involving a highly advanced drone that seemed to outperform all other manmade drones at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, and it too managed to flee from the police. Now, with all of the recent activity with drones all over, particularly most of which seem to be focused around the East Coast, how do most of you feel now??? What take do you have on all of this? Is it the same when you commented on this video, or have you changed your beliefs slightly, or drastically???

Fixed wing could have that type of flight time and altitude.

Or, it could be that 2 dudes have 2 identical drones. They lost sight of it multiple times, yeah? So when one drone runs low on power, it flies to the spot where the other is waiting, and one lands for a battery change while the other takes its place. Or it's a highly maneuverable fixed wing. These are possibilites.

All the battery and speed issues that mentioned in the video do away if someone have built a fixed wing small drone with a DJI o3 air unit. One hour flight time for a fixed wing it’s nothing.

Wouldn't be a multirotor drone. Couldn't fly that fast for that amount of time. But definitely could have been an RC airplane.

That fast for over an hour? And with low density altitude that battery life goes down even more. It’s almost impossible for it to be quad copter.

these hobby droners are very smart, they got themselves some nice parts 100 mph will eat up a regular battery in 3 minutes, my avata at 20 mph 8 minutes tops, my pro 2, 18 minutes tops, that is a very well made drone and its very expensive,

it’s close to the border & it was first interested in border patrol that it almost crashed into a bp vehicle & with endless amounts of money with no regard for the law & a rookie pilot making noob mistakes hmmm who can it be? 🤔
