    Other thing, the pickups are flipped but correctly branded by Dimarzio. So even if they are flipped the Dimarzio logo reads properly. This was specially made for this model.

    One thing worth mentioning is that the JPM Neck is different to any other neck produced by Ibanez. I checked a table of models and measures of necks made by Ibanez, and the specs of the JPM were never replicated on other model. There are other neck models, like the Ultra, RBM Reb Beach, the Wizard 4 that are almost identical but not the same.

    This just blew my mind, thank you! Can’t wait to practice. Do you suggest sticking with the middle notes of most scales most of the time? The high strings are a little harder to bend, etc.

    • @PaulWarrenMusic
      @PaulWarrenMusic 11 днів тому

      Thank you for watching! No, I would just recommend limiting yourself regardless which scale or arpeggios you might use. Try the E and B strings. Then maybe the D and G and finally the low E and A. It's all helpful in this application. It's super hard to just stay on 2 strings for a guitarist, but if you can do that as a means of practice, it definitely will help you think about being more melodic and creative with whichever fret positions you've chosen to use. Best of luck with it!

    Theses are triplets ,not arpeggios??? I thought arpeggios were just broken chords. Please explain how this riff is an arpeggio dude plesse,i learned this solo back in 99,never heard anyone call the intro to the solo this,i need to learn more terminologies 🤘

    • @PaulWarrenMusic
      @PaulWarrenMusic 14 днів тому

      They are triplets, but they are also arpeggios. You are right that an arpeggio is a broken chord played one note at a time. But you can play arpeggios on two strings. It doesn't have to be across many strings. The two arpeggios used here are Cmaj13 and Cmaj7. The Cmaj13 chord has C, E, B and A notes. The Cmaj7 chord has C, E, G, B notes. Hope that helps!

    This would be over if Ibanez just released a replacement for it…meaning same woods (thicknesses), and same neck which is what you can’t get from an RG nowadays. And I believe the 90th anniversary just used a regular RG neck (check out THE VATICANTS video regarding this). The neck on the original P1, P2 etc was the best in comparison to what we can get nowadays. I had two P3’s neck was way different than any other RG. Ibanez could bank on this! Imagine something like a MPU3 (Model Petrucci Used 😅)

      @@PaulWarrenMusic...or just tune down to "low A flat", add a boatload of gain, waggle a single finger around the fret board while raking the strings as fast as possible with the right hand! No one would notice. On a serious note, if I paid $4000 for a guitar, I would expect unobtanium carbon fiber supports in the neck so strong could use the guitar for a diving board and not bow the neck. Meanwhile, on my $149 guitar that I have already completely upgraded, setup, fret leveled, etc. two years ago, the second fret has become "proud" for no apparent reason. I can't visibly see that it has raised, yet there it is, completely killing every note played on the first fret. Grrrrr. 😡

    Hoping eventually the average price will trend downward. It's a bucket list guitar for me since discovering JP, particularly the albums and live vids done with the JPMs, was what got me into playing guitar seriously in the first place. That being said, I wouldn't be willing to drop the kind of money JPMs are asking these days on a brand new guitar, much less a used one in suboptimal condition. I've seen so many listings that are priced astronomically and the units in question are totally beat to hell. I can still see on Reverb that about 10 years ago an "excellent" condition P2 with barely any noticeable wear was listed for $1795. Hopefully one day down the line that'll be the norm again.

  • @GuillermoSmyser

    I got the other RG ART1 listing, not the one from Australia (they ended up canceling on me) and it has the same vibe as the JPMs I've played (I've also had a guitar with JPM stickers on a black body lol). I love that the ART1 is maple top with multiple colors. The JPM with multiple colors have no maple top and the one WITH a maple top is only 2 colors. Sometimes I'll just find myself staring at it. It must be like what people who pay a lot for fine art paintings feel.
