Then he said one day we'll have to stand before God and account for why we believed what we do about eschatology. What? Let's see a verse for that. It's false, and especially odd to hear it from a Calvinist. God already knows why I believe what I do. There's no Bible Trivia Quiz to enter heaven. There's nothing in anything Jesus ever said to suggest we must have the correct view of eschatology. How absurd! Why would he say it? Here's a thought...If Paul taught or believed in a "grave busting open, bodies flying upward, earth burning end of time event type resurrection", (like what is taught today in most churches), wouldn't he(Paul) just have to say "look out the window, that hasn't happened yet"? This shows he was calling them(Hyme and Phi) out about the timing of the event and not about the nature of it.

This was a great episode. I love how he defines minimalist dispensationalism. His colleague, Dr. Bookman, puts it this way - “Dispensationalism is nothing more than a commitment to operate by the normal rules of human language.” That’s the commitment we should have to the text.

I notice this same smoke and mirrors hermeneutical technique to shroud heresy in the veneer of an innocuous term so to sneak in unbiblical practices. The church at large has done this with the heresy of antinomianism.. many leaders (I suspect present company included) would say “oh I follow God’s laws but just not THAT law because that law isn’t ideal”.. so they end up cherry picking what laws to follow and what laws to reject under the guise of following the “law of christ” while at the same time embracing the actual practice of antinomianism.

I really do think we are headed toward The Great Awakening all the mystics have been speaking about for thousands of years. Christ will return some day -- He is Lord and Savior. But I don't think that's happening now. At least, not yet. There is yet to be a Great Monarch in France, and an era of peace. We may actually be living in an age which is a precursor to where the Hebrew's kingdom is finally restored -- and we live in OLAM HA-BA. And if I am correct, this next age would be Mary's Age, and would be a precursor to the Second Coming of Christ.

In John ch6 vs 39,40,44,54 Jesus tells us in the four verses when the resurrection of the dead in Christ will happen he tells us that at his return he will raise us up at the last day at his return. Paul tells us when the resurrection of the dead will happen we will be changed in a twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet and we know that the last trumpet will happen at his return on the last day. Lazarus sister came to Jesus saying master if you were here my brother would be alive. Jesus said that he was sleeping and Martha said I believe that he is sleeping and will be raised up at the resurrection of the dead at the last day. Jesus the prophets the disciples and the church fathers all only taught one resurrection of the dead and Jesus says that it will happen at the last trumpet at the last day at his return.

God had moved me form the States to Dominica back in 2021. As I worked with all the different churches that we would accept in Christendom, nearly all of the pastors have a Dyspen Premill mindset. To the point that they no longer wish to effect culture or admonish the government because "end times"... It's really frustrating when we can't understand basic English. Good summary. God bless.

If you have a minority position interpretation, it's in your interest to acknowledge it and then justify why your read is better than the majority. A quick review says the Apostolic Fathers, the Medieval interpreters, the Reformers, and the Puritans almost universally interpreted the 'tribes of the earth' as 'the world at large' and not 'the twelve tribes of Israel'. It seems accurate to say that this minority take didn't gain popularity until the Dispies adopted it, but that should be a red flag causing you to at least go back and check your notes.
