I’m confused, you said that the temple was finished beingn rebuilt in 516, but how does that square with the 70 week prophecy?

Well I think this is just a simple misunderstanding of what I was speaking of with the dates. Let me try to clarify.
The 516 date actually correlates to the Jeremiah 25 prophecy of 70 YEARS where it says:
“This whole land will be a desolation and a horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years. ‘Then it will be when seventy years are completed I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,’ declares the LORD, ‘for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it an everlasting desolation.”
      - Jeremiah 25:11-12
      So 586-516 fulfilled Jeremiah’s prophecy
What you are referring to is Daniel 9’s 70weeks which is counted “from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince,…”
Most of those who say that the weeks correlate to 490years would date the command to rebuild Jerusalem was given around 457 BC which would then have the 490years equal 33AD
I personally don’t take the 490 years approach though 😬😂
Hopefully by time I get to Daniel 9 my view will be made clear 😁
      God bless brother!
