Quick update on the ranger build: fabricated steering column and linkage, mounted king hydro bumps in the rear, mounted sidewinder reverse valve body gate shifter, mounted my turbo 400 transmission, and got some 40” bfg tires to mock up.

Any of these weld together kits for a f150 my frame is basically gone from the front of the leaf spring mounts back

@TREYBILLIOT123 ya if you want to do your own kit kinda like I did these are the coils to get them you put whatever shocks you want. I’m happy with my setup

Hey man. I have a 6inch lift on mine and im looking into doing a raptor swap. You used gen 1 shocks. Were you happy with the performance on and offroad or is it worth installing buckets and gen 2 shocks. Want a mid travel kit but just costs to much for a good kit. Thanks for you time!
Raptor gen 1 shocks were plenty good. Worlds different from stock

Well Roy no, cost about 3500 all together and everything fits perfectly as a raptor is an f150. All tiered and arm mounts are identical. So you’re still wrong but feel free to try to look cool and deeper justify how you’re right.

Nice setup! Have you found a resolution to the rub on the resi? What are the specs on your wheel and tires?
Flipping them around “opposite” side. 0 offset 12.5 17r 37”
@@JDKFABRICATION So you actually moved the resi on the shock body? Or put each shock on opposite sides of the truck? I've got this set on the way but couldn't find much info on this before I ordered. I'm sure I'll figure it either way..

Hey bro i need your help so im building my f150 conversion and i got the gen 2 lower and uper and shocks aswell do you know if i have to change the axles and tie rods and if i do, do you know what size or what tie rods to get? Please help lol 911
so from what i’ve heard you will need taller shock buckets for gen 2 shocks

It’s a raptor swap. Raptor tie rod raptor axle raptor brake lines everything

Look into Carli suspension as well for other suspension components to clean up the ride quality. An adjustable track bar would be a good upgrade to center the axle again.
Yes Carli is good just way over priced. And my axle is centered, you really don’t need it when leveling your truck.

Wow 🤩 this is freaking awesome!! So glad I found this video! I want that raptor suspension swap instead of leveling struts! I didn’t know first gen shocks worked. I imagine the ride is good.
I have not built any suspension systems, yet. What is the purpose of the misfits, alignment? Anything like an eccentric bushing?
Misalignments allow the bearing either heim or uniball to achieve full range of motion on suspension or steering items.
I have raptor bedsides if anyone needs them for bed size 5.5ft
I’m at 7. But want to possibly try 9 degrees and see what happens.a lot of I beamed 1450 trucks look like they run A lot of rake. You do know what take is?
I do…. A lot of beam trucks rake their shocks back not their frame. This is an A-arm truck and yes the bulkhead is raked up “back” a little to absorb hard hits. I didn’t design the chassis, but I know they work very well we’ve had about 12 of these fusion chassis and every one of them works incredible.
Very kool! How many degrees are you running for rake in the front? Looks like a lot! The shreddy bug/TT has about 7 and you have to be more than that. Rake is very over rated from a geometry standpoint point and I am very curious

Let me see if I got this right! I have a 2015 lariat so the set up I need is a 1gen coils with gen2 upper and lower control arms. Now I have a 4”lift with factory axel. Do I need longer axels? Or I can use mines ?
You’ll need wider axles as the raptor arms are wider. Same with tie rods. Both gen 1&2 raptor axles will work.
