CB500X Powerbronze windshield and GPS bar
A quick look at my new Powerbronze Touring windshield on my 2015 CB500X, as a chap on one of the forums asked to see it - hope it helps!..I've fitted it with 20mm spacers at the top and 10mm spacers at the bottom. Time well tell whether it will help with wind buffeting, so I may play about with the angle of the screen and adjust these in the future. The GPS bar was 'fettled' from a NC750 GPS bar that I bought on AliExpress. It almost fits but I had to remove the lower portion of the bracket and fit it just using the top hole. I also lowered the position of the bar itself as it was sat too high for my taste. I removed around an inch from the top of the bracket and then drilled and re-mounted the bar in a lower position.

Hi, this will be the last allotment update on this channel. I've decided to keep the bike videos and allotment videos seperate as I think that'll be easier for people all round. I've started a new allotment channel called 'Allotment Growing' - it would be great if you would consider subscribing to that one if you'd like to see more allotment videos please...you can find it at: ua-cam.com/channe...

Interesting... congratulations 👏🎉...I had a long black chunk of screen one time...I accidentally left a chunk of video...no, a minute slice of video... On my timeline 😅 when editing.
@@PurpleOnThree ha ha, yeah, it was only meant to be a couple of minutes long, god knows what happened there lol..out of practice with editing I guess but getting back into it!..ta for taking a look!

Soooo is that a second bike or did you trade the GS in🤔 Cliff hanger ending to the video with the black screen for so long . . . then a message to finish on👍😂
@@bikerantics5001 lol, apologies mate, don’t know what happened there, it should’ve only been a couple of minutes long ha ha 😆..jeez, out of touch with this editing malarkey clearly. Aye, traded the GS in, it just wasn’t for me to be honest. Not a bad bike tbf, but not for me..loving being back on a 500x again, I had one about five years ago and regretted trading it. I’m amazed you’ve hung around on here for so long whilst nowt was happening..appreciate it my good man!..ps, you’ll have probably noticed after umpteen name changes that I’ve come full circle and gone back to my original name lol..kind of like when my missus goes clothes shopping I guess 😆👍

Hello sir! Very nice job by all means! thanks for sharing. May I ask what type of glue did you use for the reassemble of the PVC type case? Cheers
Hey mate, thank you! - I just used common everyday superglue and it worked ok for me. I would suggest using it sparingly though as superglue can easily fog up the glass lens with a kind of white residue. good luck mate
Hi Mark, Great video mate. I came across your vid whilst looking for ways to do the exact same thing. I really appreciate you taking the time to put out such useful information. What was your main reason for doing the alteration? Was it to have a more upright and comfortable riding position? Can I please ask for the handlebar width and rise dimension, the link you gave for the ones you used doesn't seem to work anymore. I want the exact same type to be sure I don't need to extend the brake hose and cables etc. Cheers
Hi Paul, cheers for the kind words and pleased if it’s of any help to you!..as you say, I’ve just checked eBay but they’re no longer available. I’ve checked the original listing and here’s the details if you can hopefully find an alternative… Diameter: 7/8’’ - 22mm, Width: 69cm, Center Width: 15cm, Rise: 5cm…hopefully you might find something and yes, I just wanted a more upright comfortable riding position. Thanks for watching, Mark
Thanks for the quick reply Mark, I will do a bit of looking around and hopefully find something similar. I see you did this conversion a while ago now, how have you found the new handlebar position? Cheers
@@paulcowd6310 I much preferred it to the clip ons personally, but I sold the bike a few months later so I can’t offer any feedback on it long term. @@ShortCycle. hi again, no mate..I just used nylock nuts and they were fine for me. I'm fairly sure most others would also use them. It's a Suzuki, so I guess its the same plastic than your and it's definetly NOT ABS, Superglue may do wonders except if it is some spécial matérial... HHEELLPPPPPP ! Pleaase...
@@yveslegrand9826 hi there, I just used standard superglue and it worked fine on mine. I'd advise to be very careful though of course as it's very watery and when it dries, it can leave a white powdery substance on the clock glass. So my recommendation would be to use it sparingly, and be careful not to let it run of course. But in terms of gluing the clock back together, it worked fine for me.
Great upgrades - I love the risers on my GS! Glad you got the bolts sorted out, crazy how hard it is to get the right size length and head 🤯
Cheers Euan, aye its mad isn't it...
