@@ak47em don’t mess up
@@ak47em jk but take you’re time. And triple check there’s no holes after you seal it. If it leaks it’s a pain to dry them up to reseal it.
God Is Good 🙏🏽✝️✝️✝️
Niceee
This is the sound of someone having fun
So wait you used rtv or what kind of sealer?
Yea pretty much. Any sealant that’s waterproof and can adhere to plastic. Usually silicon based. The one I had said “RTV Silicon.” I didn’t choose that specifically, just had it lying around.
Ty bruv, very helpful. I installed it successfully and it's working but every time I'm starting my car it makes a really loud noise...do u know how can i get rid of this ?
You talking about the beeping from the gauge?
@@dSDaysYes exactly
@@Noah-ty6of to turn it off, Push and hold the button-Turn on the ignition-wait for the ceremony to finish- release button. Or You could also change the value of when it beeps. I think it’s at 10 psi by default. I lowered it to like 6. While car is on, you gotta hold the button until it flashes and then you can press it again to change the needle. Put the needle on the number you want the beep to activate at and then just let go for like a couple seconds to save it.
These look a lot better than the aftermarket ones, gotta try this out with mine
Great explanation of how they work and the pros and cons of each. I was gonna go GKTech, but I don't like having to worry about the nuts coming loose or the heim joint wearing out since the 86 is my daily. I also don't like the idea of cutting and welding the knuckle. Maybe I'll just stay stock for now.
Que isso cara kkk
you should clear vland dragon scales. i really want to see what theyd look like. they have a clear version for the gen 2 but not gen 1 :(
Ooo interesting. Just looked it up. First time seeing those.
@@dSDays yeah I asked epiclightss on ig if he would be able to clear them and he said he can’t. Not sure if it’s just harder or what but I’d like to at least see an attempt. Especially since the gen 2 has a cleared version and it looks hella clean
do you know if anyone sells clear tail lights, i dont have the stuff to do it myself
There’s a couple guys in the US that do it. You’ll have track down their names. Probably find it in the FRS Facebook group. I do it here in Canada but just locally.
@@dSDays oh i live in australia so i probably wont have much luck, thanks though
Watching this somehow gives me confidence to do mine and in the process possibly regret it
I’ll admit it’s on the difficult side of diys just cause it takes loads of patience to put back together. If you’re willing to take the time you’ll get it done. Just don’t get frustrated and force it.
Great video, Im still confused about how to adjust the toe correctly but overall great video I’m installing scp rlca next week on my car and I’m going to try to get -3 camber in the back, do u know how much camber u had when it was maxed out in the rear
Toe is tricky to do in the back cause the “toe arm” in the back actually affects camber as well. Need an alignment shop. Didn’t measure but my guess visually, I maybe hit -4 at 12:47. Maximum depends how low you go. The lower your car is the more camber you’ll get. The SPC arms can only add like 2deg but it adds that on top of your natural camber from lowering. If you’re not lowering the car im not sure you can hit -3.
@@dSDays ok cool I have the same coilovers I’m gonna max them out then adjust the rlca to get -3 then I guess I’ll just bring it somehwere to get an alignment
btw my prosport gauge was made in Taiwan and looks great
Very helpful - gave me the confidence to get out and do it. Had to use a breaker bar to shift my blanking plug then torqued adapter to 80Nm and sensors to 30Nm - no leak so far. I’d removed the sound generator so was able to use the spare hole for sensor cable. My supplied power cable plus piggy back fuse holder fly leads were just long enough to reach air vent without extra wire. The 3D printed vent insert was perfect size and I was able to drill and grommet a hole in the removable section of the vent to pass the wires through - great result, thanks for your suggestions, Mark
No plastic welding this time?
That was around the 5:15 mark. I think I didn’t explicitly say it this time. The fitment on the cuts actually came out pretty good so didn’t need as much extra plastic in this case.
jus bought 17+ clears from some dude n they leaked even after i sealed them 3 times lol
Damn unfortunate. If you haven’t already try removing all old sealant and reseal. Sometimes stacking on old sealant doesn’t stick well. Or even try a different sealant brand.
@@dSDays What sealant do you recommend. I took them apart and i’m about to remove the old sealant.

so sweet looking, creative af, i might have to do this
Something different compared to the normal aftermarket options. Definitely needs patience tho lol. Worth taking as much time as possible with piecing it back together
Can you give me the link of where you got it from?
Just added it in the description
I order one. I will making a tutorial on how to make a different bracket position for it. I will send you the link once it’s finish.
@@dSDays do you have a oil pressure gauge in your car?
@@saulrubio7047yup, I have it mounted on the driver side vent. Added that before the cooler just incase the cooler lines failed or something
@@dSDays do you have a video about it? And if not do you mind explaining what your set up is please
Awesome! I just got into 3D printing also, I was wondering if you could share the STL or even the original file? I'd like to do a similar mod myself (I'm learning Fusion 360)
Sure. I’ll try to upload it somewhere by end of the week or so. Currently out on vacation. Dm me on insta @ds.days and I’ll let you know when it’s up.
If u were to install either the cut/drilled knuckles or GK tech angle together with the inner rack spacers, is there possibly to get more than 60 degrees angle?
I think Gktech + rack spacers will surpass 60 but i bet you need their front lca cause their tie rod hits the stock arm which limits the angle. At least in the V2. The cut knuckles will depend on how aggressive of a cut was done. Drift knuckles site says 60+. I assume it’s with spacers.
I already have aftermarket front LCA by Hardrace, will it work as well?
🙏 P R O M O S M
Did you keep this angle kit and what your experience driving it?
Yea still on. Works as it should. Did great at events. I took it drifting and open lapping. Only "downgrade" I'm finding rn is that the car can't self steer back to center at low speeds very well. So when drifting/tracking it feels fine. But like in a parking lot I gotta help the wheel to center. It's more apparent at like a 180° turn of the steering wheel. Less than that is fine. I'm going to put back my Gktech angle kit next summer and see if that issue is there cause I honestly can't even remember. Right now I suspect its the height of the outer tie rod, since the gktech has bump steer adjustment built in. This is also caused by lower the car so can't even blame the angle kit totally. If that's the cause Im going to get the Whiteline bump steer kit that will lower the tie rod and hopefully make it better.
There’s an easier way. There are female to female connectors that don’t need flaring. Time saver. Just cut the lines and connect the new ones.
The steering on the brz is perfection why would anyone do this
car has barely any angle when its stock, ive just gone with extended inner tie rods to start with and car still drives the same but also has that little bit more lock
Are you sure that’s M12 ? Looks kinda big more like m16 oder 18
M18x1.5 I misspoke, good catch
would valenti revos be around the same process? been trying to find people that do them but no luck, trying to do them myself
I’d guess it’s more like doing the 2013+ tails. It’s a much easier fit than these 2017+. I’m currently chroming the Toms v1 tails which I’ll post in a couple weeks. I think it will be the same. Also have a older video on chroming the 2013+ which I bet is similar too.
What size wheels are the enkeis I have 17x9 rays and I’m curious on how big of a spacer I will need to run
Those are 17x8 +35 and they rub with a 25 and 30mm spacer. But if I remember it was rubbing on the fender liners and not the car itself. So you pretty much have to take those liners off or just let it rub.
Can you add a link to the kit you got and the rest of the stuff pls
I got an ebay kit $150 Aud my temps are down and I am boosted overall I was pleasantly surprised at the results.
Yuusss.. I liked the GKTech! I'll have to put on my V2 now that my V1 had cracked. Was looking at the V3 as a replacement tho. You mentioned a modified knuckle on yours now, how do you like that?
Been having self centering issues. I have some footage drifting with it but I’ve been trying to figure out why my wheel doesn’t go back to center at slow speeds like in a parking lot. If I solve that, I’d rather keep the knuckles. Gonna try raising the car height and see cause the Gktech kit was with stock suspension and I had no issues.
If anyone has the file for the side markers, please share it. I've been looking online for some time now.
How have they been holding up?
They’re still alive on another car. It got passed around on a few local cars now.
Thank you very helpful. Been trying to figure out a problem for a few weeks and this helped find the code 👌
Hey man great vid its been awhile since you posted it, have you had any trouble with that bracket bending that you mentioned about 30seconds in?
No it never bent with me. It did for some other people and I reckon it happens on rough bumps or dipping a wheel of track which I never dod. Gktech also sent me their updated bracket since then, which I haven’t heard of anyone having issues with. Currently switched out from the Gktech kit for a modified knuckle so I didnt end up trying the new design. Still have it but not sure if/when I’ll go back to it.
@@dSDays alright man Thankyou for the reply have a kicka$$ day
Hey bro weird ass question but what gear are you in most of the time?
2nd gear 90% of the time. I go into 1st only when I mess up and lose too much speed. And I want to start practicing 3rd for bigger turns.
Anybody know the brand of socket to get for 27mm bolt that holds down the sandwich plate? My car is just sitting rn cuz I can’t find a socket that will fit into that tiny space
For emergency just use an adjustable wrench. I used that a couple times now and just tightened as much as I could. And it held on track. Cause one you put the filter on it will also add tension to that bolt and will help lock it in. Otherwise I think if you search up thin wall sockets you may be able to track one down.
useless thing imho... u can use diff for jack up
I agree no point in spending money just to jack it up. Makes sense now for me cause car is lowered and added an OE diffuser. My jack is too tall to reach the diff without hitting the diffuser.
@@dSDays 🖖
How much lower were your temps?
Honestly never paid attention to the max temps before the cooler. Got the cooler just for piece of mind. And now I just make sure it hits at least 170-180F operating temp before reving it hard. My guess is max temp dropped 10-20 deg. I am drifting this weekend, I will try to get some numbers.
Update: Highest I hit during a run was 112C (234F). That’s with reving 4.5k to 7k rpm for about 2-3min. Don’t have a reference for without an oil cooler. My guess is for sure drops it 10deg if not more. When I first put it on I noticed on highway driving it was 25deg cooler sometimes.
@@dSDays thanks for the info🤙🏻
Some good info in here! I was thinking about trying the gktech kit but the car is still a street car so I’m glad to hear that it’s drives fairly normal
So there is a benefit for the V1/2 kit on stock suspension?
Yes, you still get the increased steering angle. And you get quicker steering, every input you give the steering wheel your wheel turns to a further point quicker (if that makes sense). The downside to stock suspension is you don’t get to add camber which would help increase front grip and larger wheel fitment. The steering angle causes front wheels to gain positive camber as you turn the wheel more.
@@dSDays So more understeering near full lock on stock suspension if I’m pushing it harder on turns?
@@colevq yea I would say. Although for me I didn’t find it being an issue in 2nd gear speeds. Maybe slight understeer but not enough to ruin the fun.
Genuine question, will the car roll with e brake up and in neutral while jacking up from the rear? Lol
Yea it can. But usually jacking on flat ground it’s still balanced. Obviously safe option is to block the front wheel with a piece of wood or something
Review the B knuckle next
Appreciate the details. Talked me out of all these option though lol. Will just replace all the arms with fdf or wisefab kit probably
Haha yea, you will definitely get the best driving feel out of a full kit. Their geometry usually is better designed than stock control arms for drifting.
@@dSDays just dont think it will be quite enough 😅 looks like gktech makes a full kit too
@@DrivenMars I can see how you would want more but I stopped here cause I’d have to either get wider fenders or aggressive camber to support the angle those big kits give you. Just doesn’t seem reasonable for a car I take to work lol
is good quallity or china company?
A year later and it’s been perfect. Prosport has been a well know name for a while. AEM has probably taken over recently. Possibly made in china but they do it well for the price.
why would u do this? u ruined 2 good pairs of factory taillights
No worries you can buy them new from the dealer. No shortage of them.
@@dSDays yeah but they cost more than your aftermarket taillights. they have a taillight that looks similar to this with a clear lens. I would've taken that route instead of having trouble doing all that and taking it apart and having the internals exposed to contaminants dust and debris, fingerprints, etc, and caking the sealant on the back like that.....
@@johnnycage5513 Yea I guess so. Fair enough.
1:38 HAH! GOT EEEMMMM!
Lmao this guy 😂
@@dSDaysI'm sorry, I had to 😅
Hey bro, you can’t just take off the red from the 17+ tails?
Unfortunatly not. The plastic is red through and through . Can't just take a layer off.
@@dSDays aw I see. I have my stock 17’ gt86 tails just sitting around and I wanted to try make clears with it but it seems like a lot of work lolol. Wondering if there is clear lenses for the 17’Stock gt86?
@@AyekevZ There are some companies that mold new lenses themselves. I've seen videos floating around of them showing how they make them for any car. Maybe finding one of those guys will help but no clue what that would cost.
How has the GFB blowoff valve been? Any issues? Any positives? Thanks.
Nothing to complain about. To be fair I also keep it on the recirculating setting 99% of the time so I don’t play with it that much. Not sure if you were to be constantly adjusting, if it wears out faster. But I think most people set it and leave it.
