What’s the secret to getting the driver pivot bracket in? It seems mine is too wide to go up.
Thanks for keeping it real!
Looks good 👍,I'll probably do the same,u now need nice set of tires and wheels
How does the steering and ride quality feel compared to stock? Any alignment issues with this kit?
Under 250 my ash. Lol 400$ just in a header and exhaust
Both works expansion chamber and silencer came on the bike when I bought it. I have no reason to lie on the cost lol
@doublewvideos3474 oh so lucky. I just bought a 2001 kdx 220r. It's all stock. I have to change the piston to a weisco. Suprised the original lasted so well. Was takin real good care of by this old man. And I'm replacing the stock exhaust and header,. Was going to change out the pwk33 carb to a 35. But was told it's not needed, if im just trails riding. So I'll keep that. Otherwise not a bad bike.
@travisl5125 thats awesome! To be honest, there’s usually less worry when you get a complete stock bike. Either way they’re great bikes. The KDX 200 was my favorite trail bike so far but the parts were way too hard to find. The 220 has more power and easier to find parts. On the carb, I’d say stock is fine, just get it jetted right and she will have plenty of power. Keep an eye out on marketplace and eBay for exhaust, can usually get a good deal.
I miss my kdx so much, I wish Kawasaki would bring it back as a 300... it was a great woods bike. I just wanted more power
I miss my KDX 200 the most! I loved it, just couldn’t find parts.
@@doublewvideos3474what parts couldn’t you find..?
@JDRockinfeller I’ll sell you mine 😂
My light flickers to
I think it’s needed an upgraded stator for the higher electrical draw but I wasn’t too worried about it.
3 year review?
Coming soon
Lmao 4 years later I came across this video. That's me on the yellow yamaha.
What size drill bit did you use for drilling out the brackets?
I believe it was 9/16 but I’d definitely recommend a step drill bit.
What is the torque for the triple tree clamps? Thanks
im about to get a 6” lift and 15/12.5 wheels for 450. this guys doing a part out and wants everything gone. only if i get it myself its 450 so ive been watching every lift video i could find lol
Great bikes
Are rough country lifts of good quality? I’m wanting to lift my 96’ bronco and am looking for a good company to buy from
For a daily and some off roading, it was perfect for me. If you are going to do some overland stuff and serious off-roading, I’d definitely buy a higher rated kit.
Sounds great😮
What brand bike is this?
This is a Honda. Same as their 250R motocross but softer suspension, smaller rear tire, wider ratio transmission, and kickstand.
@@doublewvideos3474 love it buddy its a nice bike for sure
My kids dad bought one for the teenager. I used to have one in 2006
How long did it take for the camber to adjust
I believe you have to have it aligned at a shop or yourself for it to be correct. I plan on doing that soon!
I picked up a 2021 CRF250RX a few months ago as my first dirt bike after learning to ride off road on dual sport bikes, the KLX300 and XT250. I traded the KLX300 for my CRF250RX. I got lucky. I found one used with only 6 hours. Apparently the previous owner bought it, threw $1500-$2000 worth of upgrades and bling at it, including a Magura hydraulic clutch and Trailtech Vapor odometer/tachometer and billet everything. Poor rich guy must have scared himself with it because after only a few hours of riding it and after all the upgrades, he traded it in for a side by side. I made my CRF250RX street legal but the narrow ratio five speed transmission is limiting on the street. I love everything else about the bike and wanted more of it so I also added a CRF450L to the stable so I still have a legitimate dual sport for that type of riding. Both are awesome bikes. I'll probably keep both until they are beyond repair. They're Hondas, so that probably means I'll be riding them until I'm beyond repair!
That’s awesome man! How are you liking it so far?
@@doublewvideos3474 Love the CRF250RX and it's really great paired with the CRF450L. I like to get to the trails before my riding buddies, and then I take both the bikes with me. Before my buddies meet up, I ride the trails on the CRF450L which has nearly identical ergos to the CRF250RX, but which is heavier and with more power and dual-sport knobbies, making it much harder to handle in the woods. Whenever I switch to the CRF250RX, it's like the same bike, but someone hit the "EASY" button. Getting the 450 made me appreciate the 250 all the more. It's the perfect combination for me.
Did you get any popping or creaking in the front end after you installed the lift? I have a noise like that every time my truck leans on a turn or a hill.
I do get some odd popping noises. I just make sure I check all the bolts I installed and ensure they are all tight and send it!
I didn't click on this to watch some dumfucker wash a bike, bye
Huge difference. Great looking vehicle. Iam thinking about a 4 in lift.....but after seeing this ....I deffenently have to think 94 f150
What did you end up going with? I think it all depends on your preference and uses. I wanted the modified lifted look without having to break the bank on new tires to make it look decent.
@@doublewvideos3474 nothing done yet
@thomasgeraghty5374 I hear ya. It’s been almost 4 years but I’m finally back on mine! Going all the way with it this time. From rear end to engine. Paint and all.
Love the videos, just got a 91 myself. About to do a deep cleaning, since it already runs well...but..@9:03. Why are there leaves that dry up and look like a evil witch with a big chin watching you...🤣
That is hilarious!
Why did you have to drill out the bolt holes on the new pivot brackets? I am surprised they did not come pre-drilled from Rough Country, or am I missing something. Good video, thanks.
Unfortunately, they did not come pre drilled. That was by far the worst part, drilling the brackets and frame.
Did you have any rubbing on the control arms with those tires
No rubbing thanks to the drop brackets. I believe I can still go up in tire size too.
All depend on that wheels that u used I have 15x12 33x12/50 r15 stock no lift and mine rub plus I have to trim some of my front bumper
Is 4 inches ?
It was 2-2.5”
Que piston se le puede adaptar a la kdx 200?
Wosner, wisesco, and oem brands
Na brother using a rachet strap is smart dude they didn't do the work so they can not talk about it lol
Where did you go for the bed line? Do you know where to get it?
The black spray bed liner was already on the the bronco when I got it. The rubber bed line mat I made was just a horse stall mat at a local tractor supply store for $40-$50
You installed the wrong transmission filter in the broncoand you did not drain the torque convertor. 4 x4 have different filters
Headed back out to make more videos and saw this comment. Thank you for pointing that out. Definitely learning as I go and I knew better than to put a mismatched filter back on. I’ll definitely be redoing this along with other major things. I want to get this thing ready to rock daily. Thank you again for pointing this out!
good video 👍
Do you still have this bike by chance?
I ended up selling it to a guy who does fully original restorations. I miss it everyday lol
Hey if you were to do this over again same exact lift kit size and all would you replace the leaf springs or is it not worth it? Nice video by the way I just got one but it’s stock height.. thanks!
Great question, I’m actually working on new bronco content right now and I am thinking about replacing leaf springs as well. Considering how rusted they are and the front is now fresh, I’d have much better peace of mind with a new set.
Nice work!
Nice job!
Rad, I’m starting a restoration on a 1990 XLT Bronco and use to own a 1989 Eddie Bauer
Could you link to what kit you used?
Here is the kit I used: www.roughcountry.com/product/ford-suspension-lift-kit-425-20?C&C%7Cm%7C%7Cfit_first_42530-a&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwhIS0BhBqEiwADAUhc_-LO51YufSS3n35EEyDvD-ZLIAzz6rXGv0z2ZDgLmmTHupoRd45XBoCAJoQAvD_BwE
What speakers did you use for the front doors?
I believe they were just Amazon speakers. Boss audio or something like that.
I’m curious where you got the mat from cause I’d like to do this to my bronco
I got it from a local farm store. They should have these at different farm and tool stores. Just ask for “horse stall mats”
oh okay thanks man
Nice, that pinstripe tho!!!!
Lift looks good.. just hope you torqued your lugs with more than that little breaker bar/wrench.. and with the tires off the ground (or just touching with no real weight to keep from spinning). Hate to see a gorgeous build lose a wheel on the Highway (diesel mechanic that started as a tire tech here, it happens).
Thanks for the reminder! I actually keep a torque wrench in the Bronco and check them before each drive. I had it happen once, forgot to torque them down and heard the wheel start shaking. I didn’t know what was going on!
2T all day
Do you have the link for those plastics and graphics?
Just FYI, that cone shape on the pan might be a good spot to put a DIY drain plug so it's not so messy next time you need to service the trans. Great vids 👍, keep 'em coming.
I appreciate that! I totally found that out after the fact. Should’ve told me sooner 😂
Hello..same model with me..can u check the location some part..I restored but forget where to attach the part..
Hopefully I can help, I will try my best!
Hey there looking to buy this exact kit for my 89 bronco, was just wondering how it rides down the road? Is it rough?
I haven’t had any complaints. It may be a little stuff for most but for the price I can’t complain!
Are the kx frames universal like interchangeable?
I am not sure. I don’t think they will all be but I don’t know off hand. You should be able to research and figure out which ones are interchangeable.
Nope well now we know I bought kx gas tank and plastics and no way in hell it would fit 4 stroke engines are too big
Man that sucks. Now you know though! 😂
Yo bro more bronco content! I have a 1984 that I got for really cheap. Your video on the lift install really helped me out a lot.
I appreciate the love! I need some more ideas and I’ll totally put more out.
Great video! Very helpful compared to the crap instructions provided. So far I've finished the rear tires and passenger side bracket. Moving on to the driver side pivot bracket and radius arms. WAY more work than I had anticipated (especially w/ 2 kids running around lol). Probably should have shelled out the extra $$$ to have this done. Grateful you took the time to record this, otherwise, I'd probably be up s**t creek!
Thank you! And oh man, it was way more time than I thought. Part of it was probably filming too but I agree. I doubt I’ll ever install one myself again unless I have a lift. Drilling through the frame was such a pain.
@@doublewvideos3474 a lift would be clutch. I've add to create wooden stands for my jack stands to sit on in order to lift the truck. I'd guess I've already put in 8 - 10 hours (stop and go / trial error). Of course, I'm no professional. Rough idea how long it took you to complete?
If you care about your frame then take those acerbis frame guards off regularly to clean the frame
Thanks for that!
@@doublewvideos3474 you have any issues cold starting your bike when the outside temp is a little chili?
