In my opinion, no. But it also depends on location. I ended up selling this one for only a couple hundred more and it was ready to ride and was an 03. I’d be patient and keep looking. If it needs seals and bearings, you will probably find more issues as you break into it.
@Stryker HP For around my area. You could pickup a perfect condition 250 for that price. I bought my 98 and 97, yes I know a bit older, both needing plastics and small things, for $1100 (both of them together) running and riding. And my 08 yzf250 with stage 2 cam, paperwork included, for $1700. All 3 bikes with titles as well.
I don't mean to nit pick or find fault with what you're doing but I noticed that your fork bushes are worn out and will not be guiding the fork leg as it should, thus not working correctly and possibly still leak oil even after replacing seals. Place bike on a stand and get a buddy to press down on rear of bike. When front end is off the ground grab fork legs and push and pull forward and back to see how much play is there. Hope this helps.
Foleyathome I totally agree with you, I figured I could get one more good season out of them. One of those may as well do it right while you’re there but that’s my one and only regret!

I went with the 2014. A lot of people aren't a fan of the straight edges and corners of the updated plastics vs the original but I like this front fender and number plate better.
Just got an 03 in Tx for 1800
The 250 has some power!!
Bro it does! Too much for me to even handle 😂
idk why but the 03’s are unique it’s like they have more power over all the others and they last longer than any other models 03 gang
@@brandonmx1139 my 98 and 97 250's go hard! I love them. Currently restoring both frame up over the winter.

Do you still have this bike by chance?
I ended up selling it to a guy who does fully original restorations. I miss it everyday lol
7:00 thug life bug
Lmao! Nice catch! 😂
What year front fender and number plate did you go with?
I went with the 2014. A lot of people aren't a fan of the straight edges and corners of the updated plastics vs the original but I like this front fender and number plate better.
How do you like the bike
Love the bike, still getting used to the power but that’s a good problem to have!
@@doublewvideos3474 nice i almost picked one up yesterday
Do you have any good KX250 clutch plates
I wish I did but I don’t ☹️ sorry!
How much did it cost to rebuild
Right at $500, luckily I didn’t have to replace the top end. But top ends when doing the work yourself only cost around $150.
Lusk?
I'll take that front fender please? Lol
Did you like the updated or original better?
@@doublewvideos3474 updated much better, I have the 97 kx250 and I want the updated one. From which year did you get it from? 2007?
Hahaha your ratchet shit out on u!!
