Thank you for this video. It helped me a lot!
I very much appreciate the demo but man am I dying to tune your guitar 😂
have this amp and it comes with 2 positition footswitch wich does not allow what you are showing, in reality its a 4 channel amp, my brother told me about this and after your demo I will order one. amp has great sound, better than my 65 twin unless you want clean sound, but the marshall crunch is great. curious about the effex loop so show what you find out about that.
Thanks, this helped me decide.
Cool! 👍 I have one! I paid 750€!
Brilliant! Thank you so much!
I have the exact same LTD Arrow 1000 (color and all) and I've been wanting to avoid the $250 price tag on the ESP case. Your Vid is a godsend!
I remember when they were new at my local music store, late 70s.
Thanks so much for making this video. Very helpful for understanding the differences between each footswitch.
Well done. I just acquired one and am using your video to see what options I can get. Must have that 6 button pedal. I'm seeing 150 - This amp is a beast . It throbs to release it's bass punch headings.
Where did you buy the case?
Thank you for showing this. ...and question: does this block limit the Floyd Rose range in any way? I didn't notice you diving or pulling up to see how far it can go after the block upgrade
I have the DSL 40C, no "R"? What does that mean? Will this pedal work for me?
I am sorry I am his wife and he passed away suddenly back in January. I hope someone can answer this for you.
@@milesfisher3185 OMG, I'm Soo sorry
@@dannysmuzic1807 The R stands for Reverb I do believe or maybe Revision as this is the 3rd generation of the DSL series. Also sorry to hear that he passed away early this year as I watched this video a few years ago.
Work for dsl40C?
It sounds like a toy! No guts!
could definitely be the player. I’ve heard these amps sound awesome.
Do I turn off my crate speaker Amp before or after my music keyboard workstion??
The sustainiac is the best sustain pickup there is....what are you talking about?????
Dude, that’s just wicked! I have the trans purple burst of the same guitar and it’s my favorite next to my SLS C-1 from Schecter. I’m gonna try that upgrade, thank you so much for making the video and passing the information!
Just curious, is that same footswitch also available for the Marshall DSL 40C? I see that you're using the Marshall DSL 40 CR basically the same beast but a slightly newer updated model.
Well they got them in all the stores now, maybe they watched your Video
You don't need that shim between the block and plate
Very cool solution! 🔥🤘👍
nice
Great video! I love this amp!
Thank you!
Hey man, I have the exact same guitar and was thinking of installing one of these blocks. Have you noticed much of a difference in how far the bridge moves since you installed yours? I've heard that the thicker block can limit how high or low the bridge can move but wasn't sure if it was a big difference or not
Hi, I'm not super aggressive with tremolo, but I just pushed it until the bar hit the top wood, so it definitely dives enough. On pullups, i got one full tone on the 1st string and a 5th on the 6th string. I pulled it up as far as I dared without crashing the block. Hope this helps. I'm not Dimebag Darrell though lol. PS, does your 1st string get caught on the lower fret edges? My frets must have lifted a little. I'm going to have to take it to a luthier...
@milesfisher3185 thanks for your response, I think that kind of range should be fine in my case (I use thicker low strings so my bridge has more resistance anyway). In terms of the 1st string getting caught, I haven't had that problem, and as far as I can tell, all my frets are fine. Hope you can get that fixed though man, it's one hell of a guitar!
will the Thomann Heavy Bass Gigbag hold it? its the only option in europe that seems like a deal for me
Sorry, I do not have access to the case you are asking about
I may have the correct model, which I can't find
You are the best. Thank you for doing this video. I have an Arrow and did not want to buy the massive hard case.
thanks for the refresher o my pedal Miles
Thanks brother, really helpful 🙏

Hey there your e1 frs is stunning!! What colour finish is it? We have seen the red SCAR finish being the satin candy apple, the purple and the green but not one like yours?
Thank you! This was a special run trans red finish for Musician Madness, where I bought it from on line.

Great advice. Thanks so much, Miles. Rock on. Wish I could catch your 'DC tribute band. I'm from central PA. I love a lot of bands/artists across many genres, but Acca Dacca has always been nearest and dearest to my heart.
Thank you! We have a pretty big show coming up next month, I'll try to get some video posted
Please do!
Specific question -- if you have, say OD1, already assigned to MV2, how are you going to then use MV2 as a lead boost? That can go for any of the four modes. If you have any of them assigned to MV2 (red), you can't then step on the #5 switch and use it as lead boost -- the MV2 is already red -- because that's how you assigned it. The only choice you would then have is going to MV1 green, if you stepped on the MV switch. Green is the rhythm MV1, which defeats the purpose of having MV2 as a lead volume. Make sense? Very perplexed with this. Can you please enlighten me?
It looks like you assigned switch #4 (OD2) to a higher Master Volume level. Am I correct? Or do you strive for unity gain with all four modes and just work your MV toggle switch on the foot pedal as the source of your lead boost. Do you always use MV2 for your leads/boosts?
Hi, since the pedal isn't programmable, it's just a matter of setting your channel volumes to be where you want them. I only used the 1 channel for clean, then the OD1/OD2 for crunch and lead. That made it easier to equalize the volumes. But yes, generally, I "assign" master 2 to the #4 switch for lead solo, use #3 for rhythm crunch, and channel 1 for clean. I basically skip the #2 button, but some people use it as an extra crunch option. It is louder than the #1 when you do that though. So then you can assign Master 2 to Channel 1 which would help equal the volume. It's a balancing act for sure, but I'm used to it. I've played 3 and 4 channel amps for years now, and right before I start my set I stomp all of them in order, testing what the overall volumes sound like.
Hi. Great video. So do you use the #4 (OD2) footswitch as a lead boost or do you toggle the MV switch for your boost? Also, I assume the MV2 is designed to be a lead channel; the MV1 as a rhythm channel. Is that how you see it, and do you always use them aa such?
Awesome! One of my favorite songs.
Very very very nice!!!!
I like that Angus uses full cords instead of power/Bar cords. A lot of people think that he could not shred, but he could shred like a Beast when he wanted to. He was capable of a lot more than he presented.
Angus Young is the shit. Electricity personified.
Just like Eddie Van Halen always said, he's underrated. Not so much anymore though. You'll always find him these at or near the top of any "best guitarists of all time" lists. The man is brilliant. And yes, he most certainly can shred when he wants to. But like the best guitarists, he knows you don't always go for the throat with your leads. There's far more to guitar playing than just "shredding." That doesn't make one a great guitarist.
@@jimmymincin1125 You're absolutely correct. Another good guitar player is. The guitar player for Primus. It's hard to play Off key like that.
Picking this amp up today. Will get the fs if i like it
Went to pick up amp at guitar center. Told me the amp did not work, no output. Selling broken shit now?
Got one of these amps but I can't seem to get the same volume when in clean on channel one to when I switch to crunch on channel one. The crunch always seems to up the volume. What I really want is for the volume to be the same between the two. I've tried setting volumes but doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong? Would love some advice. Thanks.
Yes that does happen, one thing you can do is tell it to use Master Volume 2 on clean then you can compensate
Thanks. I’ve been looking around for something.
You're welcome! I've now taken it to many rehearsals and several gigs, and I appreciate it's protection even though it's a bit oversized. I like the storage space too.
Do you have a link to this specifc case? I really like it and cant seem to find the same one
Hi, they're everywhere, just search Rockville RDJB20. They are on Amazon, Walmart, you can even get them straight from Rockville. It's a good bag, a little overkill but I've taken it to numerous practices and gigs n so far, so good
@@milesfisher3185 perfect found it now with that model. Think I might order one. Thanks a lot.
