as an aaron burr kin i approve -i never really saw him as a bad guy tbh, ik the musical made him a lot more "nice" than he really was, BUT tbh he had valid morals and reasoning. honestly, if i were him i'd have shot hamilton way back in act one 💀 -i feel bad for him because look at hamilton and how far he got, while burr was always kinda... left behind. he has a lot of depth both as a character in the musical and in real life, and yeah i agree on how he's the main narrator what with all the fourth-wall breaking and stuff. -he wasn't a terrible person either. he was a feminist and believed in women's rights unlike the other founding fathers, and educated theodosia jr. as well as he would any boy. burr dearly loved his wife and considered her to be smarter than him, often asking her for political opinions/advice and sending letters to her while at work. -irrelevant but also, he is a human disaster™ (like me) who did a whole bunch of weird shit (i.e. setting himself on fire while trying to light a candle with a gun) and tried to turn texas into an empire but failed miserably -his lines in wait for it and the world was wide enough hit HARD he kinda deserves better than what history has labelled him as ngl

Further adding on to the theory that Burr is the narrator burr started lots of the song describing characters like Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, and the Schuyler sisters (mostly describing Hamilton in a bad manner using words like bastard, orphan and whoreson) though as the show goes on slowly begins to describe Hamilton in a good way until the final breaking point where Burr shoots Hamilton and though it was truly Hamilton’s fault like Mr. Analytic said he felt remorse after his death referring to Alexzander as “my friend, Alexzander, whom I shot” but what Burr did after Hamilton’s untimely death is a *whole* other story

I don’t really think Eliza’s underrated tbh. As someone who’s obsessed with hamilton and read a bit too many fan fictions of it, I noticed Angelica is never mentioned. I even forgot she existed for a while. Eliza never has a personality in the fanfics though. She’s just the cinnamon roll that cares about everyone and has no motives. The fan fictions always focus on Peggy and create a bunch of new personalities for her from being the sweet and sassy sister or an evil sorcerer. All this is stuff I’ve read. Angelica definitely is the most forgotten one on wattpad though.

If it wasn't for Angelica trying to take a bite out of Hamilton second guessing her ways until she looked over at Eliza. Angelica sacraficed her potential happiness for her own little sisters happiness

Thanks for making this video. I too think Eliza doesn’t get the credit she deserves. In school I was asked to write a report about my favorite historical figure and I wrote about Eliza. My teacher herself said it was great and that she learned so much stuff she didn’t know before. Eliza was an incredible woman, she did so many amazing things, and she is one of my role models, when I grow up I hope to be at least an eighth of the woman she was! ❤️

Honestly, Eliza was my favorite Schuyler sister from the first time I heard the line "I know my sister like I know my own mind You will never find anyone as trusting or as kind If I tell her that I love him she'd be silently resigned He'd be mine She would say "I'm fine" She'd be lying" I will always love Eliza ❤️ and as much as I love Peggy I will never understand how everyone in the fandom says she's is underrated but she gets way more love and attention than Eliza. I'm like "y'all... Really?."

I actually have a book that I read that’s written about Eliza, she’s always been such an interesting person and I had to read more about her after watching the musical. 🥰

Eliza is the best. She's a much better wife than Alexander was a husband. She made sure people remembered him, but didn't care if they remembered her.

burr has always been my favorite character after is song wait for it I related to him so much and it gives me so much motivation I absolutely loves burr and how much dept his character has even tho it's not obvious. and he was actually a great person from that standards he was sort of a feminist (again from that time standards) and he absolutely loved his wife and daughter and did everything for them unlike our "hero" Hamilton. he might be misguided but he actually learnt from his mistakes and felt bad unlike most people. he grew so much but we didn't give him a chance after that. burr also reminds me to be more sympathetic and rember that we all are humans who make mistakes and deserve second chances. I would love to play as burr one day

It also helps Hamilton’s longevity that it got a Disney Plus release so literally anyone who might not ever be able to see the show at the theater can experience it from their own home. That said the experience isn’t fully the same since we are confined to the spaces the film makers choose to focus on, but to the film maker’s credit, they focused on all of the main points very well. It was a well recorded show, that’s for sure.

Burr’s songs are so good and it contrasts the character. The actors voice goes from really soft and light like when he says “what is it like in his shoes” to the rapping verses, that his voice becomes hard and heavy.
