Lol sorry I'm a life long Alaskan 30+ years but may be moving to Virginia but worries that fishing is not going to be the same. 😅 Do y'all get any salmon out there or is it strictly white meat fish? Any halibut or grey cod by chance? Also does anyone surf fish down there? Can you keep yellow fin and blue fin tuna, I just wonder because I saw these videos where people kept releasing them but driving them through the water to jet water through their gills. 😅 But can you keep them to eat?

Those must be way north because Florida Bonito are really only good for Mutton snapper bait and troll the belly strips. If we land the real small ones put them back out for live bait?

I went last year and it was a circus. I was there all day and hooked one 25” male brown on a full nightcrawler of all things but between people casting over you, walking through pods of fish in the hole you’re fishing and just all around terrible sportsmenship I probably won’t be back.

Never understood why you guys throw the fish back I never considered fishing as a sport I always ate everything I caught why fish if you don't like seafood or eat fish definitely my opinion try fish guys it's good eating

What month of year was this filmed? I find the early season action slow, no Mahi or False Albies. It's now July of '24. There are now an additional 20 bases installed. All of them will attract and fish. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

The bay is NEVER that flat when I'm out. Envious of that weather! Make a smallish lip gaff with an old fishing pole. Giant hook with minimal to no barb. Easy way to handle a big fish while trying to stay on your yak and handle other stuff.

Caught my first blue this year in the big rock on the free ranger. A marlin is a different beast all together. My fish was 108 inches but fat. It being the first day we didn’t risk the penalty of it being under 400 but it was probably over. Hour and a half fight but man to say I’m addicted would be an understatement.
