FOUR HOURS Of BIG Kayak Catches (Grouper, Cobia, Red Drum, Snook, Tarpon)
This is a collection of videos containing the biggest fish I've caught from my kayak(s). These long videos are a great way for new viewers to find videos that are otherwise not visible/discoverable to them even though I have already posted them. If you are a regular viewer of my channel, you may recognize some of these videos, but I would be surprised if you have seen them all.

Three hours offshore fishing for yellowfin tuna, dolphin, and wahoo at Oregon Inlet in North Carolina. If you are a regular viewer, you will probably recognize some of this footage, but there is a good chance that somewhere in this video there is a trip you haven't seen! Unfortunately I don't have all of these videos backed up, so some of them are downloads I made from my channel. The only way ...
BIG Sheepshead And A SURPRISE CATCH Under These Docks
Переглядів 3,5 тис.3 місяці тому
I had a really fun and rewarding day exploring some new water for sheepshead fishing. Obviously you don't see every outing I embark on because some of them aren't fruitful enough for a video, but when it does work out, it is very satisfying to find some great fish based on a hunch. Broken Kayak And Bridge Sheepshead Fishing
Переглядів 2,5 тис.4 місяці тому
I broke a very key part of my kayak on this outing, but managed to catch a good amount of fish despite boat positioning troubles. Average size was still fairly low but that is typical for the time of year I was fishing. Steady action and decent weather, can't complain about that! Topwater Fishing For BIG Bites

Topwaters on the flats isn't a way to get a lot of bites, but it is a good way to target a big bite. Spent a couple days bobbing around in the jon boat throwing walking baits, and these are the results!
TROPHY King Mackerel Caught From Pier While I Was Sheepshead Fishing
Переглядів 2,3 тис.4 місяці тому
I was sheepshead fishing on a pier when someone hooked a really nice king mackerel, a trophy fish for the pier. Plenty of sheepshead action this day as well, including a nice triggerfish that was the highlight of the day for me!

Why do Americans always gaff body???
Nice
The sound of the line says it all... Well done fellas!
You're using a standard reef permit about 10 grand and you should be using some bent butt rods and quit f****** around and use some hooks if you don't have 20 hooks on your rig you're a sport you wouldn't last long in the northern golf fishing 50 hook vertical rigs
Looks like the hand lining is a bit of a pain with the line twist added in. It’s a similar technique used for salmon and trout in the great lakes except for the length of leader after the diving weight. I’m sure he has the technique perfected and the fishing was steady. It must cost a small fortune to run those motors for endless hours. I wonder if people realize how expensive fishing is today. I just paid $38 dollars for two steaks which i’d much rather have bought some fish with that money if I could get it.
those spoons are just a pain in the butt to keep from twisting the line. You can tune them but I think between catching fish and dehooking them, line twist is just part of the territory.
the amount of commercials in this video is absolutely bonkers
Great fishing show thx DB!!!
he was there first end of subject
what size planer are you guys using?
Where were you catching the Gag Groupers at?
wow that's so great ❤❤❤
When is that tuna video dropping??😂
Walleye don’t discriminate much on bait. We bounce bucktail jigs on the bottom at Erie. I think they like the sound bouncing on the rocks really. And they will hit a bait that’s half their size. But we have noticed that certain colors do better. Purple is a walleye killer. Blue chrome. Pink and gold. Orange cream sickle. Chartreuse in muddy water conditions. But on a day like this one on the river you can throw anything in there lol
My grandma can leader a fish faster than that
Nice action 💯💪 Just wondering.. Does the fish value stays the same when gut gaffing as opposed to head gaffing?
yes, same price
Trivia question: I noticed you mentioned in the beginning of the video that the market prefers the smaller sized fish, does anyone know why that is? Answer: it’s because king mackerel go to be canned and the cannery gear is built to accommodate the smaller ones.
makes sense!
@@nolanminor6761I used to be a charter boat mate out of Hatteras & Oregon Inlet. We used to commercial king mackerel fish in the winter. The fish buyers told me that these fish predominantly went to be canned which was why the smaller ones fetched a higher price than the big ones. By the way, I like your videos, keep up the good work.
Enjoyed the vid🤟
has the market gotten any better? or are the mackerel's still not worth very much?
commercial fishing is rarely glamorous but beats the office... love the videos
Tried to send you a pic I got stone crab yesterday and a big black drum and a big sheepshead to take home The stuff I didn't was a puffer fish and a giant big stingray and catfish. I caught a shark for about 20 minutes was exciting and fun surfishing but it broke off Thank God cuz I didn't want to deal with that haha I just love the water I wish my husband did but he doesn't so I have two boats now lol. He boats with his triplet brother but all they do is island hop on the lakes and party and do a lot of tubing but he respects me when I go fishing and take off for days and I'm good with that it works. 😁👍
Where are you out of?
Wh
I used to commercial fish for kings out of Hatteras in the winter. Most of the time you make pretty good money doing it. Usually got between $1.50 & $2.50 per pound, and 12 to 15 box days were pretty common. These fish end up being shipped to Canada for canning.
New subscriber here. Great vid. I live in ky. Wanting to take the hobie out to the bay there soon. Never been. Looks fun.
A tip I have for brown trout is if you find a pool of water in a creek like that you just wait a few minutes and sometimes you will see brown trout glare and you can easily see them even through dirty water
Great show thx DB
so many wahoo!!!!!!!
I like the Mac that wouldnt give up the fight for LIFE ...sketch
how do you rig a planer so that its removable and you can wind all the way to the boat?
it's called a bridle, lots of tutorials on youtube showing how to rig
Hey cap, what rod do you prefer for the planer with a bridle?
A short heavy bent butt is pretty much the standard for the planer rod. The rod isn't the important part of the equation, just need a reel with a lot of drag to hold the planer
Is he a Captain
That looks like a lot of work. Nice catch
I love your long-form videos. Lets me relax and fish even when I can't get down to the coast. Quick question - where are you guys catching your shad this time of year?
Those were netted inshore and stored in bait pens. Glad you like the long videos! Honestly I'm just playing the algorithm and it feels like a much lower quality video than what I normally do, but I'm doing this to try to make a paycheck!!
Nolan knows how to fish - he turns the warning clicker off when reeling in the fish.
I do my best! But when I try to turn it on when they run they always change their mind
How do you find it? Just drop the live bastante and wait? I live in the caribe!
That was a great vid. We fished out of hatteras inlet last week, caught a limit of kings. Best fishing i ever had! There was a tournament going on in the same area so there was a lot of pressure but the fish cooperated.
yep all of those guys drove up from MHC
@nolanminor6761 that's what cap'n said. As a boat enthusiast, I saw some very nice craft, like I drool over in the magazines. IDK where people come up with the money for some of those CC's with quad 450s...
proud to be first comment
Very efficient. Bonus points for that auto teaser set up

Yo Nolan, big fan of your channel. I also have a fishing channel and I was just wondering what you film with and the settings you use. Thanks!
Big fan

Can i get your gmail?
You got a cool neighbor! My neighbors eat corn the long way..
I’m picky about my fish, but those sand tiles are amazing.
very delicious, just watch out for that spike..
Agreed, I tried one and found the taste/texture almost identical to blueline tile. My issue with them is that after you cut out the strip of pin bones that runs almost the entire length of the fish, you end up with very odd portions of meat that are challenging to find a good purpose for. If you removed those pin bones with tweezers it wouldn't be an issue though
@@nolanminor6761down in sc we caught some fucking giants, tastes like lobster
Where is the cleaning station you’re using? Public ? Thanks enjoy your videos
private cleaning station
did you get rid of the pa14?
Im out here with just a paddle, minimal tackle and one rod, dudes got pedal drive, a paddle, and a trolling motor, still finds a eay to complain, just steer with your motor bro😂
What inlet do you fish out of generally?
Awesome nice video and beautiful sharing thank you very much❤❤🙏🙏, greetings from Indonesia.
U gotta put ur finger on the line and guide it in that's why ur swivel is rubbing when u get close to the boat.
Crimp for 20lbrs ?
