This year was the culmination of Jacob’s year long birthday. I loved that made it a full year and was embraced by the viewers. A continued Happy Birthday, Jacob!

I'm so glad you guys did this kind of episode! Going to be kind of a difficult Christmas for me this year, but hearing you guys reminisce about past Christmas's and gifts made me remember some great ones as a kid. 1989, 6 years old, Christmas Eve at my grandparents house, I opened a Fire House and Ecto-1A and remember my dad, grandpa and uncles putting it all together and the stickers on them. There's an old VHS tape my mom has of me playing with it in front of the fireplace and Christmas tree. Other than getting stuff for my kids as an adult, that was my most memorable and favorite Christmas as a kid. Happy Holidays to you guys and Ryan!

Isn’t the whole theme of It’s a Wonderful Life that Jimmy Stewart spent all his time on others, lost his love for life, needs to be reminded that he matters, and that as such we all matter? I never got narcissism from that. To each their own, I can understand it being overly sentimental…but that’s as much a preference as anything else. You guys love your horror movies, and you bend over backwards to sanctify them as art and not simple primal release, not sure it’s entirely fair to call people who like old fashioned films “simple”. End of the day, you guys love people being pulled apart in detail but not sentimentality, that’s cool, but why judge? Just odd to take the sanctimonious route here. Regardless though, appreciate y’all’s takes in general. Hope I haven’t said too much, don’t want to attract smoke. Love the show.

I may have to leave the YHS family. I am very pro-unwrapped gifts from Santa. Walking out of my room in the early morning, turning the corner, and seeing a “billboard” of Dino-Riders box art stacked to the ceiling (in my head) was way better than mindlessly tearing through some bad Xmas paper. Shaving cream wars and getting egged is regular part of NYC Halloween. Kids are restricted from buying those items around Halloween. People walk around with eggs in their trick or treat bag. Growing up in the 80s and 90s was dope in a big city.

19:18 Oh wow, I got the one to beat. As a kid I had a Jurassic Park birthday, and all my gifts were Jurassic Park toys, and there was one big one that I was sure it was the Command Compound Playset. It was kind of shaped like the playset so I was stoked. They even made me open it last. My step grandpa (who got it for me) had me close my eyes while I opened it and Im tearing off the paper and what feels like a garbage bag? And as I tear into it I hear people gasp and laugh, and then I feel fur and I open my eyes and ITS, a taxidermied raccoon! 🦝 I stood there bug eyed and half smiling as I stare at this dead nightmare instead of my playset (which I then realized wouldve been box shaped 😑) I had it for years as a courtesy until enough time passed that I sold it at a garage sale. 😅

Interestingly I also tried to watch the Family Stone for the first time today and also gave up at around the 40 minute mark. I can't recall the last time I abandoned a movie, but it was so poor and just was not getting any better as it went along.

Podcast was a solid character. Also the chemistry between the 4 kids worked well. Not to mention Paul and Carrie too

I think the no ghost mode quick open and the extended open are reversed on the cheat sheet and the manual. The actual operation seems to be the reverse.

This is one that I was extremely excited about and hoped that they would do, because let's be honest when we were kids if you had an ecto-1 these are what we all used to imagine it was. I'd also like to mention that for people who couldn't afford it at the moment I did get extras that I will be listing on eBay next year when they arrive. I'll probably do it about a month or so early to get them up for people who are willing to pre-order. I did the same thing with the two in the box and with getting the maximum of five I have one left not including the one I'm keeping for myself
